Do not come here if you expect professional staff or a family-friendly experience. My son and I have done over 100 escape rooms, and this was by far the worst experience we've ever had. Within minutes of starting the game, the Game Master was rude and dismissive. When we asked for a clue, she sarcastically said, "Do you want me to stand here and solve the entire puzzle for you?" When I asked why she wouldn't help us, she opened the door and told us to leave, in front of my child. We were calm, respectful, and had done nothing wrong. We had previously encountered the same Game Master on an earlier visit with a similarly poor experience. Another visit with a different Game Master was fine -- so this appears to be a staffing issue, not the games themselves. We paid for an experience and were denied it. Completely unacceptable. There are far better escape rooms in Houston -- I would strongly suggest choosing one of them instead. read more

This escape room definitely wasn't the best in my opinion. Me and my partner have done many escape rooms but this one was ridiculously challenging and didn't give much clues or a back story. Other escape rooms have a lot of clues but can still be fun and challenging. It was so difficult to the point where me and my partner just gave up because of the fact we had no idea what to do and there were no clues. They did allow us to ask for hints but we needed a hint for everything because none of it made sense. read more

First time doing an escape room and it was hard!!!! Found this location on google and decided to give it a try. Must wear a mask while in the establishment, won't let you in unless you have one on. Also, will provide you with a mask if you don't have one. I was with a group of six other girls, who didn't have reservations(random stop while in town). We were told they didn't have an available reservation for like the next hour. We didn't want to wait an hour and planned to leave but the store said we could do a room that wasn't reserved yet. We were given the Wild West(hardest room). We had an hour to escape and sadly didn't. Overall it was a good experience. Would love to try it again. We were in town for my hubby's birthday weekend, and he mentioned he wanted to do an escape room activity. We loved watching the escape movies so I thought it would be a perfect idea to come here. I tried one in Vegas years ago so I was excited to checkout the one in Houston. I found them online and he chose the chainsaw massacre themed room. It wasn't too far from our hotel, the location looked a bit sketchy tho lol. We were greeted immediately and told the rules of the game, I'm not very good at puzzles but I wanted to make sure I participated and he had a good time. This was definitely a hard one 8/10 difficultly level. I won't give too many details about each particular puzzle but I will say it's very challenging, so be prepared. We weren't able to finish the last 2 in time, you have 1 hour to complete them. Overall it was a really fun experience and I would do another one! This is a great date night activity! read more

PanIQ Escape Room was a great date night kind of spot. We came here as a group of 6. We found a great deal on Groupon so it was definitely worth the money. Our particular room was Wild West themed. Hints came from a walkie talkie and were unlimited. I found this to be quite unusual as most places limit you to 3 hints max. Luckily half of our group had done an escape room before, and we only needed to use 1 hint. Overall the wild west room was a lot of fun, and we were able to escape with 20 minutes to spare. My only complaint was that the location of the escape room made you a bit anxious. It's mostly street parking available, but we made sure to take in our valuables or leave them very secure in the trunk of our cars. But if you're from Houston, this isn't anything you shouldn't already expect. We would definitely come back to try their other themed rooms. read more

This escape room was very fun, thoughtful and a good time for friends or a date. We completed the 2 hardest escape rooms and both were great. we started on Wild West and it started off wild as it took us 11 mins to get pass the first since we couldn't think straight as a group but once we got going, it was fun. Had a small mishap with the locks in the next room not being at its correct location, however the host quicker resolved our concern, gave us sometime and we were able to eventually escape even without the extra time. 3 rooms to Wild west and they all are fun. I would recommend completing wild west first and then moving to another one, recommendations would be Chainsaw!! Chainsaw was so interesting and very different than other escape rooms i've been to. This also had 3 rooms but you can't tell where the doors are - nice. We were not able to get chainsaw completely in time, however we literally had the final piece just ran out of time. All in all still a great time and would recommend others to go. Chainsaw had more items to solve in my opinion however both made you really think and find things that's not there. We had a great time. We found it on Groupon, otherwise would have never found this little place. The guy was nice and the room was fun. Very clean establishment inside. The only thing that would have made it better is to have signs for the photo opt that said we escaped. Definitely plan to come again for another room. I would have given this place 5 stars because it was amazingly fun! The woman that helped us name is Denise with a stank attitude almost ruined our good time. How is it appropriate for her to get an attitude over someone having to use the restroom. It's natural!! She truly got upset when my son had to use the restroom prior to starting. Crazy right? I knew just from her vibe that she wasn't from Texas.... so it comes out "I'm from New Jersey" I knew it!! I'm from the New Jersey/Philly area as well, and I know first hand that some people from that area have bad attitudes. I liked the Chainsaw Massacre room a lot, but I've done a lot of rooms and me and one other person was able to finish it easily enough. It's less puzzles and more atmosphere that keeps you from finishing. There was a bit of technology that wasn't working so we had to be told the solution and what something should say, which wasn't cool. I liked the guy who helped us out. And I do like their simple waiting room. The overall 3 is due to the tech issues and not as much puzzles, but also the customer service I experienced the next time I tried to play a game. Me and a friend saw they had an opening for a game late one night on the weekend. We were close by and so headed over. We were just going to book when we got there. The girl there turned us away and said you can't book that spot, even though it said it was open on the website. I told her I could just go to my car outside and book and it's stupid we can't just book on the inside of the door. She basically shrugged and said rules are rules. I didn't care to play the game anymore because I thought that was really stupid. No one was booked in the room and it was open still and 30 min (at least) before the start time of the game. Yet she just couldn't book it with us and let us just wait in the waiting room until we booked. read more

Loved it! Came here for my bachelorette party and had a great time in the Wild West room, then came back a couple weeks later with my husband in the chainsaw room which was a lot of fun! Found a Groupon online, and the price was pretty good relative to their competitors so we thought we'd give it a try. Good location, but still in a sketchy area, hence the doors are always locked. The staff was not the friendliest, and somewhat condescending with their help and clues. Overall the place had potential, but we were not too impressed. There was an issue where the person giving us the clues was unsure of how to unlock one of the chests. She had to call someone for help which took about 10 minutes, but she gave us the full time back so we didn't lose any time. The only downside is the location. It wasn't hard to find street parking; however, it's in a pretty sketchy area so make sure you don't leave anything valuable in your car. read more

When we are doing a room, we like to be surprised w multi-rooms, etc. but our game master let us know exactly how many rooms and exactly where the entrances were. It was 3 of us and we did the bunker. It was very well decorated but quite dark. Overall it was fun even though we didn't finish it. The walkie talkie that was given for us to ask for clues was not the best. It was very difficult to hear what the room master master was saying. One of the best escape rooms I've been to in Houston. There's street parking immediately across the street and it's easily accessible. Booking an appointment was just as easy and I found the staff to be quite affable. The atmosphere during the game itself was authentic, tasteful and fun. My friend and I managed to finish the room with only two minutes to spare haha. Overall I'd say my experience was entertaining and interesting. Our game master, Joe, was very helpful and friendly.
