We tried both rooms and we had a blast!! It was tough getting through the rooms efficiently with our little kids, but we all had so much fun. The pirate themed room is more traditional and linear and the submarine themed room is less linear and more modern. Our guides were so incredible! We really did have the best time. We highly recommend checking out this place!

We had a fantastic time at Escape Room Catalina. 6 of our Girl Scout troop decided to go with Catalina Pirate Challenge. Reservation was easy as one of our friends booked the room and time online. We reserved for a Saturday afternoon. Escape Room Catalina was easy to find. You go inside a building and all the rooms are sectioned for specific names and challenges. Once we arrived someone came out to check the girls in. He was awesome and he was the host. I'm sorry I didn't get his name. Girl Scout troop enjoyed the Catalina Pirate Challenge. They completed the whole challenge and had time left. Our girls love escape rooms but they are selective and this was one of their favorites.

Don was an amazing host! He kept it fun and set great expectations. The experience definitely makes you use your head and was a bit tricky. Our group made it out with 9 minutes to spare. This was our first escape room and certainly set the bar for future rooms. I highly recommend it!

Great experience. Bring your smart friends and get ready to solve complex and fun puzzles. Don was our Escape Room support and he nudged us in the right direction when we got caught up in finding everything.

Very fun and well organized. Our Girl Scout troop loved it! They were talking about it the whole boat ride home.

Ask the Community - Escape Room Catalina

How much for small kids to play?

Children under 6 are free, everyone else is $30

How much does it cost$$? We will be on the island 4th of July week.

Ahoy Matey, It costs $30 per head but we give discounts for senior, birthday, military, or police / fire. Just give us a call at 310-510-ARRR (2777) and we can answer any questions you have, give you a discount, check our schedule or book you into…

How long does this usually take?

It takes 45 minutes to an hour. You've gotta be really creative and think about all the pirate movies you've seen. The man there is really cool and he'll toss out a hint or two if you're stuck :) Really neat escape room though.

Depite that, I still would've come back to play another room because the puzzles were cool but they did more for me than I expected! after we escaped, the staff, I believe the person watching us play throughout the room I am so sorry I forgot his name, offered us compensation. Also, the staff working the from desk was very kind and accommodating when we needed to switch the time on our room. Me and my friend are extreamly greatful and I will be coming back. The puzzles were challenging and interesting. The atmosphere is great and it's so much fun. The room I did was gold rush, 7/10 difficulty, and it was challenging and fun! If you do go, I recommend booking a private room with just you and your party if it is possible, but I am sure it is fun with strangers if you get the right people! I love interactive puzzles like this, if you're looking for a fun time, come here! I would highly recommend and I will bring my friends! THANK YOU:D

Both times we've came, we've booked the game the same day or even an hour before. Their online booking system is super convenient especially if you are booking something last minute and want to do an activity on a whim. My only small complaint is that this is not a private game which means that you may get paired with other people outside of your group. Some escape rooms are 8 - 12 people so if you are a group of 4 for example, your game will say 4 spots are open which means anyone can join. Luckily we have not run into that issue since they offer a lot of different games and game times.

This was our 3rd room with The Escape Game in the past 2 months, so clearly we've been hooked!…read more Tonight, we did The Heist at this location, and our game master, Will, was amazing! We've also done Cosmic Crisis and The Depths, and out of the three, The Heist was probably the most challenging. It definitely required a lot of thinking, and there were a few moments where we felt completely stumped and needed a little help. That said, the puzzles were still logical and satisfying to solve. The theme and storyline were also really unique, and I loved how consistently the theme carried throughout every part of the game. We ended up finishing with about 20 minutes to spare! One thing I really appreciate about The Escape Game is that the rooms are challenging without feeling impossible or far-fetched. We've done escape rooms at other places where the puzzles were difficult simply because the solutions felt like such a reach that they barely made sense. Here, everything feels much more intentional. You may not necessarily need clues, but it's nice knowing that unlimited help is available if you do get stuck. I also love that the rooms aren't horror or fear based, overly suspenseful, or chaotic. But they are just fun and immersive with worth the challenge you're paying for. And a huge thank you to Will! You were so kind, welcoming, and had such great energy from the very beginning. That energy definitely carried with us throughout the game and made the experience even better. We had such a great time! Also because it was my bday, they wrote me a bday card which was soo sweet! Can't wait to try the rest of the games

BIG shoutout to will for being such an awesome game master and for being such a genuine, kind soul. lily and leslie were super sweet as well and made our experience so enjoyable. alright, lets start with timeliner. the concept of time traveling and all the small mechanisms was so cool. fun fact, timeliner is the test room for the tech in cosmic crisis! my friends and i have done a good amount of escape rooms 20+ and timeliner is one we got through pretty quick. its a good room if you want to be wowed by the small details. heist is a more hands-on room compared to the timeliner. this room is one where you yourself have to solve the puzzles rather than the technology solving it for you. it catches you off guard and surprises you with all its mechanisms. highly recommend both rooms to anyone looking for a chill escape room experience.

There are two parking spots right in front of the location and both were available when we arrived. There is also plenty of parking on the street very close. When you arrive, you wait outside because the main lobby is actually part of one of the rooms. There is some outdoor furniture and a bench to sit on out front. They monitor the outdoor cameras and will come out and greet you when it is time for your experience. We did "The Queen" room which has a theme of saving lost souls aboard the Queen Mary ship. It is not a scary room at all, it is just dimly lit. It has a split start with one person in the room and one outside which is always an interesting way to begin. The décor is great and after having done 30+ rooms, it is always nice when a place has puzzle types that you have never encountered before which was the case here. The room is mostly non-linear and hints are given via walkie talkie. Our game master Christina was great before, during, and after our experience. She gave us a nudge several times when we asked for help and we were able to escape with five minutes left. I commented on the booking that it was our anniversary and she even gave us a choice of a few gifts afterwards, which was very kind and thoughtful. For only two people, their rooms are on the expensive side at $59 per person. It drops to $38.50 per person with three, and $35 per person with four. We had a good time and will grab a few friends and try "The Lab" room in the future.
