Don was an amazing host! He kept it fun and set great expectations. The experience definitely makes you use your head and was a bit tricky. Our group made it out with 9 minutes to spare. This was our first escape room and certainly set the bar for future rooms. I highly recommend it!

Great experience. Bring your smart friends and get ready to solve complex and fun puzzles. Don was our Escape Room support and he nudged us in the right direction when we got caught up in finding everything.

Very fun and well organized. Our Girl Scout troop loved it! They were talking about it the whole boat ride home.

Attempted to escape the pirate room however we were unsuccessful, but it was so much fun with my 12-year-old and nine-year-old.

Ask the Community - Escape Room Catalina

How much for small kids to play?

Children under 6 are free, everyone else is $30

How much does it cost$$? We will be on the island 4th of July week.

Ahoy Matey, It costs $30 per head but we give discounts for senior, birthday, military, or police / fire. Just give us a call at 310-510-ARRR (2777) and we can answer any questions you have, give you a discount, check our schedule or book you into…

How long does this usually take?

It takes 45 minutes to an hour. You've gotta be really creative and think about all the pirate movies you've seen. The man there is really cool and he'll toss out a hint or two if you're stuck :) Really neat escape room though.

Somehow, we escaped with just 12 seconds left on the clock! The room was incredibly well designed. The puzzles were challenging without feeling unfair, and every clue felt rewarding to solve. We were so focused on escaping that we completely forgot about our phones. there wasn't a second to spare. Our host, Tia (I hope I'm remembering her name correctly!), was so sweet and welcoming. She explained everything clearly, got us excited before we went in, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're an experienced player or a complete beginner like I was, this is such a fun way to spend an hour with friends or family. I'm officially hooked and can't wait to come back to try another room. Highly recommend!

Normally, they would group us with strangers but since we were the only ones there at the time, they allowed us (a duo) to play in a single room. I appreciated the flexibility and friendly tour through the rooms! My friend and I played The Depths, and completed it with no hints and twenty-five seconds to spare! The room was clean and high-tech for proper immersion into the puzzle's plot. The puzzles were challenging and straight-forward, and I appreciated the lack of red herrings and the ability to take your phone around. I would recommend taking pictures of important clues so you don't have to run from room-to-room to cross-reference! Using the flashlight on my phone was also helpful in the dimmer rooms of the puzzle, as well. Overall, awesome experience with the escape room and will be back again whenever we are in the area. The only thing I would suggest that they do different is pause the timer for the "story videos" that they play here and there. The clips are entertaining but they are fairly yappy and waste precious seconds of the allotted hour...

BIG shoutout to will for being such an awesome game master and for being such a genuine, kind soul. lily and leslie were super sweet as well and made our experience so enjoyable. alright, lets start with timeliner. the concept of time traveling and all the small mechanisms was so cool. fun fact, timeliner is the test room for the tech in cosmic crisis! my friends and i have done a good amount of escape rooms 20+ and timeliner is one we got through pretty quick. its a good room if you want to be wowed by the small details. heist is a more hands-on room compared to the timeliner. this room is one where you yourself have to solve the puzzles rather than the technology solving it for you. it catches you off guard and surprises you with all its mechanisms. highly recommend both rooms to anyone looking for a chill escape room experience.

The Escape Game is different than any I've been to because they allow and encourage the use of photos and filming during the game. You will see so many social media reels of this particular room. Afterwards, I realized, OMG the answers were clearly given out in the reels many times! We had so much fun. My favorite by far. Made us felt like a kid again and definitely had all of us contributing, studying and playing together. Such a clever game! Well thought out and as players, you just need to listen carefully starting w the very FIRST clue! We asked for help a few times. Sadly we didn't unlock the last lock on time but they graciously let us finish with a few minutes after the deadline. Parking at UTC is free thr first hour. There are two parking spots right in front of the location and both were available when we arrived. There is also plenty of parking on the street very close. When you arrive, you wait outside because the main lobby is actually part of one of the rooms. There is some outdoor furniture and a bench to sit on out front. They monitor the outdoor cameras and will come out and greet you when it is time for your experience. We did "The Queen" room which has a theme of saving lost souls aboard the Queen Mary ship. It is not a scary room at all, it is just dimly lit. It has a split start with one person in the room and one outside which is always an interesting way to begin. The décor is great and after having done 30+ rooms, it is always nice when a place has puzzle types that you have never encountered before which was the case here. The room is mostly non-linear and hints are given via walkie talkie. Our game master Christina was great before, during, and after our experience. She gave us a nudge several times when we asked for help and we were able to escape with five minutes left. I commented on the booking that it was our anniversary and she even gave us a choice of a few gifts afterwards, which was very kind and thoughtful. For only two people, their rooms are on the expensive side at $59 per person. It drops to $38.50 per person with three, and $35 per person with four. We had a good time and will grab a few friends and try "The Lab" room in the future.
