Was looking for stuff to do around San Antonio and found this place online, so I figured we'd try…read moreit. Glad we did, it was a good time and the staff was so accommodating. They were also extremely animated and got in character, love that! When we weren't in their lobby about 5 mins before we were scheduled to start, they gave me a call to check in. I let them know we were going to run about 10 minutes late (tourist problems-we got confused on the freeways!) and they offered to give me a full refund since we won't have the full time allotted and there is a party scheduled immediately after us. I'm not sure if that's their policy for late groups, but I thought it was nice. I asked if we can just continue with the reduced time and they agreed. Once we got there, everything was a breeze. We came in as a group of 4 adults and we did the Trapped Below (railroad mine theme) room. I was the only one who had previously done an escape room, so the other 3 didn't know what to expect. They also don't really do puzzle games in general but were looking forward to try out an escape room. They were, however, confident that not only would we be able to escape, but that we would beat whatever the ultimate best time for that room was. But they quickly learned it was not a walk in the park as they imagined, more like a jog on an incline with the wind blowing against you. It was challenging enough, especially with less time, and there were definitely puzzles that stumped us for a bit - we used all 3 hints! Unfortunately we ran out of time on our last puzzle, and to be honest I don't know if the answer would've clicked for us. The group verdict was split: 2 people think having the full 60 minutes would've definitely allowed us to escape, the other 2 do not. Either way, we left wishing we had the chance and time to try out the other rooms and explore the other themed adventures. There are different levels of difficulty (the one we did was rated 4/5) so it's a good time for adults. I think maybe for families as well, as we were leaving a family with what looked like 2 teenagers were checking in, so it's definitely an activity that can be enjoyed by a range of ages. Definitely come check them out, it'll be a fun time! Pro tip: Go with your gut! If you have an idea for the solution, just try it (even if your group can't see the vision) cause it might just work.

We had a group of 10 participants and selected the Prison Break (medium level) experience. I was the first to arrive from my group, and an employee approached me asking if my entire team was ready to start. I told him I believed I was the only one there, so he told me to have everyone scan a QR code and sign a waiver upon entry. I told him I wouldn't know who was with my group but he didn't seem to care and walked away. I didn't see him again until 30 minutes later when he came back out and asked if our group was not ready. I thought this wasn't the right way to deal with a first time customer. As for the experience itself, it was a lot more physically interactive than I was expecting. We started out being handcuffed to a jail cell that we needed to escape from and the activities only became harder from there. For the purpose of team building, it was great at getting us to brainstorm ideas and work together. With that said, I wouldn't call this a "fun" activity and really didn't like the handcuffs... I'd prefer a less hands on experience. All in all, this is good for team building but isn't something I would voluntarily do again.

The game was started with them giving us general rules. And then the fun started! Once in the room, you watch a short video to give you insight into to what your mission is. Once you've started the game, they were in touch via 2-way radio the whole time. And they made clear that anyone could leave the room at any time, and rejoin at any time...which was cool, since we had some people worried about getting claustrophobic. Nobody had to use that option, btw. The clues were hard to find/decipher at times, but they try to lead you in the right direction over the 2 way radio. Plus, they give a certain allotment of clues that you can ask for. Once you get the jist of it, it gets easier......but nothing is simple. To think that Isaac, the owner, came up with the games on his own, is mind blowing! We came within TWO clues of solving the puzzle and escaping......SO CLOSE!!!!! But, we didn't make it :-( 5 more minutes, and would have. If you're looking for a great time with friends,or a team building experience, I would highly recommend! We'll be back for sure!

It was enjoyable (and as far as I know, it's San Antonio's only cat-themed escape room), but a few observations: - Instructions on how to operate the hacked Simon Says would have been useful (press center button, wait for lights to all flash three times, THEN punch in the correct sequence) - This escape room is pretty light on content - it has fewer puzzles than most escape rooms I've tried. That isn't to say it's easy. Kids will definitely need adult help. But there's only so much to do. This room is likely best for a group of 2-3 people, maybe 4. - Be observant and detail oriented!

Well, I'm from Orlando, which I swear is the escape room capital of the world. There are 1,000,000 of them by the parks. I've done a few in San Antonio and recently did one here (the 90s room). It was okay. We had to ask for a clue which we didn't have to do for the last 8-10 escape rooms...so it wasn't too easy...but it was just very...plain. The room is a 90s bedroom, the puzzles are all locks and keys...there just wasn't the same production quality or interesting puzzles put into it. Maybe it was the theme and the other rooms are better...but it was...not boring...but plain. Just very plain. Also, I wouldn't say I was offended by this...BUT...they advertise themselves as family friendly. Which is fine either way. BUT if you do that...probably should not have curse words in the music playing in the room or an entire puzzle that is basically one long masturbation joke. Thankfully my wife explained it to my 7 year old son better than I could and in a sort of age appropriate way (as in she left out a bunch of the thought behind it). Again, not offended, but certainly unexpected considering how they position themselves.

The non linear aspect was a great idea but needed some direction as we progressed we did not know if we missed something, the games itself needed so much help as we asked for hints we were doing the correct thing all along but it just was not registering. About a month ago, we escaped Carnevil. Despite a few technical issues and glitches with some of the puzzles, we really enjoyed the room. It was packed with decorations, had a great atmosphere, and the puzzles were challenging and engaging. We had such a good experience that we decided to come back for another visit. This time, we played "The Other Side" based on an employee recommendation, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. The puzzles weren't very challenging, the room felt short, and the overall experience fell flat compared to other rooms we've done. The set design and decorations were also fairly minimal, making it less immersive than we expected. We were so underwhelmed that we decided to pay for another room immediately afterward. We chose "Society Zero," and it was a completely different experience. The puzzles were much more challenging and engaging, there were more of them, and the room's decor and atmosphere were just better. We escaped that room as well and had a much more enjoyable time. While "The Other Side" wasn't for us, we'd definitely recommend "Society Zero" for anyone looking for a more immersive and challenging escape room experience. Overall, we've had positive experiences here and will likely return, but we'd suggest skipping "The Other Side" and choosing one of the more developed rooms instead
