Came in for a family fun night and tried 2 rooms…read more The first room was Master of Illusion and it was fun. We were a little disappointed that it was only 1 room so it was relatively small but it flowed well and he had fun. The 2nd room was Horror on Hallows Eve and it was terrible. This was room 59 and 60 for us as we've done a ton of rooms in Los Angeles and this room made absolutely no sense. On top of that, we had to do the knives puzzle literally 10 times because one of them was messed up and kept doing the noise when you pull the knife out of the pumpkin when it was not taken out so it took a TON of time away from our game. We finally got it to work by holding the knife super tightly into the pumpkin until we completed the rest of the knives. We ended up not escaping the room like 5 seconds too late which was frustrating when this took up such a large amount of time for a defective puzzle. On top of that, the hint system showed up on a screen and largely didn't pertain to what we needed help with. We much preferred when game masters give you a walkie talkie so you can explain the section you need help with. Finally they charged us for a photo which is crazy. In over 60 escape rooms that we've done, not once have we been charged for a photo.

Super welcoming. Not robotic. Not reading from a script. They explained everything clearly, made sure we felt confident going in, and kept the energy up without overdoing it. What I appreciated most was how thoughtful they were outside the game itself. They gave us real recommendations for places to check out around San Antonio after. Not generic tourist stuff. Actual spots that made our night better. You can tell when people care about the experience versus just running a shift. Lauren and Hawthorn genuinely cared. It felt like they wanted us to have a great birthday, not just finish a time slot. If you're booking here, ask for them. They made it awesome.

Well, I'm from Orlando, which I swear is the escape room capital of the world. There are 1,000,000 of them by the parks. I've done a few in San Antonio and recently did one here (the 90s room). It was okay. We had to ask for a clue which we didn't have to do for the last 8-10 escape rooms...so it wasn't too easy...but it was just very...plain. The room is a 90s bedroom, the puzzles are all locks and keys...there just wasn't the same production quality or interesting puzzles put into it. Maybe it was the theme and the other rooms are better...but it was...not boring...but plain. Just very plain. Also, I wouldn't say I was offended by this...BUT...they advertise themselves as family friendly. Which is fine either way. BUT if you do that...probably should not have curse words in the music playing in the room or an entire puzzle that is basically one long masturbation joke. Thankfully my wife explained it to my 7 year old son better than I could and in a sort of age appropriate way (as in she left out a bunch of the thought behind it). Again, not offended, but certainly unexpected considering how they position themselves.

About a month ago, we escaped Carnevil. Despite a few technical issues and glitches with some of the puzzles, we really enjoyed the room. It was packed with decorations, had a great atmosphere, and the puzzles were challenging and engaging. We had such a good experience that we decided to come back for another visit. This time, we played "The Other Side" based on an employee recommendation, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. The puzzles weren't very challenging, the room felt short, and the overall experience fell flat compared to other rooms we've done. The set design and decorations were also fairly minimal, making it less immersive than we expected. We were so underwhelmed that we decided to pay for another room immediately afterward. We chose "Society Zero," and it was a completely different experience. The puzzles were much more challenging and engaging, there were more of them, and the room's decor and atmosphere were just better. We escaped that room as well and had a much more enjoyable time. While "The Other Side" wasn't for us, we'd definitely recommend "Society Zero" for anyone looking for a more immersive and challenging escape room experience. Overall, we've had positive experiences here and will likely return, but we'd suggest skipping "The Other Side" and choosing one of the more developed rooms instead

The non linear aspect was a great idea but needed some direction as we progressed we did not know if we missed something, the games itself needed so much help as we asked for hints we were doing the correct thing all along but it just was not registering. We're even told we had to do it softer? Whatever that means. Though the videos were interactive they ate up so much time. Felt a little cheated in the end but we still had fun.

I quickly learned that time slots disappeared the longer I procrastinated. Tickets purchased... fingers, toes, and eyes crossed to have a splendid experience. There are 3 escape rooms which all have their own theme and you and your group have 60 minutes to figure it out. I knew I had to get their 10-15 mins prior to fill out waiver forms. Our person, I didn't get his name, but he was FAN-FRIGGIN-TASTIC! We had four people, but could be up to 10 (just might be a bit tight). In THE AGENCY room, we had to find keys, codes, secrets doors/drawers, LASERS, maps... a plethora of information. (Just can't record or take photographs) When it was our turn, our unique storyline was explained (pay attention) The first 10-15mins, you're to figure stuff out on your own, unable to ask for help until that time has passed. Once asked, we received our first clue! Yay!!! I bet your wondering "well did ya make it?" Also had a lot of small items. Cons- I was substituted large item with smaller items because they didn't have them available. It happens, wasn't too bothered, but website said they had 7 large printers available. Biggest grief, the video. My sons 4'8'ish and part of him isn't viewable in the video, let alone able to capture me. The employee even moved the camera prior. Lastly, expect to sweat. Took my daughters a couple years ago, great experience but my daughter (12yrs) told me she was seeing spots (heat). Brought yeti backpack this time with ice packs and ice cold water. Our reservation was first of the day. Room looked liked it hadn't been cleared in days of all the glass items (purposefully, dunno). Bring your own gloves, they had torn gardening gloves. The game was started with them giving us general rules. And then the fun started! Once in the room, you watch a short video to give you insight into to what your mission is. Once you've started the game, they were in touch via 2-way radio the whole time. And they made clear that anyone could leave the room at any time, and rejoin at any time...which was cool, since we had some people worried about getting claustrophobic. Nobody had to use that option, btw. The clues were hard to find/decipher at times, but they try to lead you in the right direction over the 2 way radio. Plus, they give a certain allotment of clues that you can ask for. Once you get the jist of it, it gets easier......but nothing is simple. To think that Isaac, the owner, came up with the games on his own, is mind blowing! We came within TWO clues of solving the puzzle and escaping......SO CLOSE!!!!! But, we didn't make it :-( 5 more minutes, and would have. If you're looking for a great time with friends,or a team building experience, I would highly recommend! We'll be back for sure!

It was my first time and I was at a loss but with my son and the three clues that we had, we were able to escaped before the bomb went off. My son did a great job and so did the staff in assisting us with our first escape experience. It was so much fun
