Pros: staff member was friendly, room staging was well done. Cons: The outbreak room was the worst escape room I have done in the last 10 years. (And yes, we did escape). Poorly designed user interfaces on the computer games wasted your time with restarting, and there were so few puzzles to solve that people were often sitting twiddling their thumbs waiting for something to do. 20 minutes in I found myself simply annoyed by the experience, and that was carried through as we went on to other puzzles. I regret wasting my money and time here and will take my escape room business to other chains in the future. read more

These rooms are so fun ! My boyfriend and I come here and do the rooms just the two of us and it's so much fun. They are hard with just two people. We have come close to failing The Dig and The Bank Heist. The staff here is super helpful and fun. Thank you guys! We will be back! read more

Ethan was hilarious and very helpful. He started off the day with an energetic intro that set the tone for the hour. The theater room is no joke! Lots of fun and you will need to go with someone smart! AKA don't go with me lol. It was well thought out and the effects were fun to watch. Great attention to detail. Fun music and movie references through out the game. Some clues were obvious, some not so much. I did make the time, only God knows how. Escape the Room is my favorite escape room company! They do such a good job of making you feel like you are actually in the scenario. I have done a few at the Scottsdale location, but this was my first time at the Chandler location. It did not disappoint! We did The Theater and escaped with 9:30 to spare! Went here this last weekend and did the outbreak one. It was awesome! We have done 6 other rooms in the valley and this one was the best by far. We didn't make it through. We were about 2 minutes late, but it was great fun. Highly recommend this place if you like escape rooms. read more

Update: they called my son back same night acknowledging their booking error gave him a refund even though they normally don't do refunds! My son and his friends went the next night, it was more expensive as their prices change daily but they enjoyed it! I gave my son money to go here last with his friends, he called for a reservation tonight in which over the phone the workers told him to to their website to book a slot for tonight which is what he did 3 tickets 118.00 dollars later they arrive and they tell him the reservation is for tomorrow even though over the phone they said it would be tonight. They asked for a refund being they booked and arrived all within hours and they refused to give them a refund because they didn't pay the cancellation fee for what was supposed to be a reservation for tonight! For one it's more then 24hr notice cancellation for two they told them to call the number for a reservation for tonight! This company is stealing over 100$ from kids when it was their employees mistake and the time a lot can easily be filled being this was booked the same day! Not cool and I will tell every client and person I know not to use this escape room due to their poor business solutions, greed, and lack of professionalism. read more

I've been tomorrow than 30 escape rooms and this was probably one of the least fun experiences. Room itself was awful. They don't answer the phone when you call, there are no waivers online to sign to prepare ahead of time but the worst of all the room itself was one of the worst I've done. The worst. Done others with my kids and they have loved them even ones that were more challenging, but this room was just bad. Game master was mediocre at best, which made the entire experience even worse--The whole experience was very blasé. Save your money for better places around the valley. We decided to do the Escape Room for my daughter's 14th birthday with four other 14 year old friends. Not one of them had been to any sort of escape room. They were a little hesitant, but during the hour they spent they definitely had an awesome experience. The clue master was so polite and extremely helpful. This was our first escape room and it was an absolute blast! We did the puppet show escape room and im so glad we did! Our tour guide bryan was awesome and on top of sending us helpful hints when we needed them! The place was clean and the location was easy to find! When we finished all we wanted to do was try another one of the rooms!! Definitely recommend this place if this is your first escape room or if you've done it before! I have done a variety of escape rooms to date, ranging from easy linear key/locks v1 only rooms to complex 75-90 min rooms. I have such mixed feelings about this place. I experienced 2 rooms here. Outbreak & clock tower. OUTBREAK 5/5: This was their most difficult room and I completed it with two other friends. We probably used about 5 clues at most? Our game master, Alex, was great! He greeted us warmly, did a great introduction (which set up an outline/story line), and gave us just the right amount of push in the right direction. The production was so good! I've seen my share of good production and shoddy DIY rooms and I would say this would probably rank in my top 10. Personally, I would rate this room more of a medium difficulty than hard -- we completed the room w 15 mins left. The great thing about this room is that even though we finished it with plenty of time left, I didn't think the puzzles were too simplistic or boring. CLOCKTOWER 2-3/5: This was supposedly their second hardest room. We didn't escape this one. My friends and I (3 of us) were put in with two others who have no idea what they were doing. Although they don't specify that the rooms were private, it was our own mistake in joining with others. I don't recommend joining random groups because it can negatively affect your experience. The reason I rated this room so low is because we had a horrible game master (it's not alex, but I'm not gonna name names) and I felt the beginning part of the escape room was illogical. Instead of actually working to solve a puzzle, it was just trial and error to get through the puzzle which made it no fun. Part of the game master's job is to push you along in the right direction (keeping you close to a certain timeline so you have ample time to enjoy the other parts of the room). This was not the case. I would recommend the company rethink the first part of their room and come up with more standardized clues. Once you have experienced the room once, you cannot go back and redo. That makes me upset bc I know this was a room I could've escaped. One redeeming factor was that the production was cool and the room had a lot of tech. read more

We did the clock tower with 10 7th grade boys for a birthday party. They had a blast. Best party venue ever! Ethen from escape the room hosted the boys and watched them through their adventure giving a little direction when they needed it. I highly recommend for kids and adults of all ages. Fun time escaping the theater. There were a couple tough clues, but with a little help we were able to escape. There were 9 of us: 4 adults, 5 kids. I wouldn't suggest much more than 10 people otherwise you'd feel a little cramped. I would definitely try the other rooms next time in Chandler. Bryan was super helpful. read more

My son, with a group of his friends, celebrated his 14th birthday here this evening. Right away, we were greeted with a smile by Alex and after signing in we were ready to Escape the Room. My husband chaperoned inside the room as they (understandably) needed an adult present. They were able to escape Outbreak and when they excited the room, the sound of laughter and excitement poured out. Alex was the most excited, leading the group down the hallway and telling me, "They did it!!" The kids talked about Alex the whole way home. How funny he was, how they loved his jokes and how he truly went above and beyond to make this an awesome experience. This was a really fun and challenging escape room. We got out with 30 seconds to spare. Our room host, Amanda was so nice and helpful and she really did a good job helping us with the perfect hints.
