We had a blast at Escape the Room! My mom and I did the Clock Tower Room and barely made it out with 1:24 left. It was so fun and really got our brains working. Our clue master Jinxx was so sweet and super helpful - tbh, we probably wouldn't have made it out without her but the room only has a 35% completion rate so we're lucky we had her. The room was fantastic although a little worn. Our group had a fantastic time. Host was so so. Talked way too softly and fast at introduction for our boys to hear. Restrooms were not working...a must with kids. Lobby was hot but escape room temperature was very cool, perfect. Clues were excellent and took some thought but we would have failed anyway. It's the experience that matters. Great family fun and we'll be back for the next special occasion. read more

This is one of the best Escape rooms in Arizona. The puzzles are challenging, even for a group of veteran escape layers. Between this place and the ones in Scottsdale, I've done three of their rooms. The Jurassic Escape Room is the best themed one and worth recommending. The animations are really good with this room. And yes there are multiple rooms to enhance the escape experience. Agency is the next best one but it wasn't nearly all that hard. The interesting thing is that the puzzles got us stuck a little but it is nice that the game master provides clues to push you along Clock tower is the last escape room I've done with this company. Beaten the other ones, this is my list favorite. Also the instructions were a little bit sparse so it leaves a lot of room improvement. read more

We loved this experience, and huge props to our game master Bryan for a fun time! As I've mentioned in other reviews, I'm an Escape Room fiend (I've done a couple dozen at this point), and the more Escape Rooms I visit, the more I look for certain characteristics: a great backstory, non-linear puzzles, fun theming, clever technology, and friendly staff. "Escape the Room" in Chandler checks all these boxes, plus gets bonus points for unlimited hints! Now I know what you're saying: unlimited hints?? Isn't that kind of cheap? I suppose if you're in some sort of Escape Room championship that might not be Kosher, but for a family-friendly venue it's perfect! It allows those who need some extra help the chance to ask unlimited questions, and still gives those who want a challenge the chance to ask as few as they'd like (there's no reason you have to ask for a lot of hints if you don't want to). The room we did on this particular excursion was the Clocktower. I won't give away any details of course, except to say that I really enjoyed the story, theming and puzzles! Parts were a bit linear, but there were other parts that weren't. And again, Bryan made for a fun experience. We escaped with about 10 minutes to spare. Go team! read more

Extremely disappointed. The Clock Tower room itself was a disaster. There was little to no story and every clue we stumbled across was unclear. We found ourselves stuck in a loop, trying the same ineffective solutions over and over again. Only to find out that our solutions were correct, the technology for them just did not work. This room was considered difficult, and was, but not in the way an experienced escapee would hope. Without the clue giver, no one would make it out. read more

This is by far the WORST escape room I have ever experienced. If you want to be kicked out of the room halfway into solving it with ZERO explanation, then this is the room for you. From the moment my party and I walked in, we were greeted by distasteful looks from the angry lady sitting at the front desk whom ultimately kicked us out of the room. Her reasoning was that we solved the clues "out of order" but failed to mention that MULTIPLE of the clues were faulty and broken from the get-go. Very clueless and useless staff who look like emo teenagers that want to "feel" some sort of power over us. This is an embarrassment of an establishment. read more

I like trying to solve escape rooms. While it most fun with a larger group, I have done it with some with just me and my wife. I did get stumped on a few of the clues, but usually they give you a clue if you are stumped for too long. I have done all the rooms in this particular location and they were enjoyable , so I don't have a need to go back unless they change up the rooms, but I understand they have another one in Glendale. read more

** We had a reservation at the Chandler location in February, 2020 BEFORE stay-at-home orders were issued across the U.S. to prevent spread of the pandemic in March. Since we had been watching the news and my mum works in a laboratory, we thought the pandemic-theme room would be ironic. ** My brother and his wife are escape room veterans. So we let them plan this afternoon activity. The industrial lab looked like a retro 1980s film set from "War Games" (for bioterrorism): plenty of screens with 8-bit video displays, knobs, test tubes, hoses, counters, a work bench, etc. The tasks were pleasantly difficult... One suggestion is to include a chair or two for participants who may be strained by standing for so long. Our attendant was generally helpful. However, she sometimes threw out hints or tips a bit soon, when we were still persevering through a puzzle. We barely "saved" the U.S. population before the water supply was contaminated... so, our experience ended on a more cheerful note -- and we readily smiled when the staff member took our group photo. ;P Note: Don't confused this location with the other Escape the Room. This one is located in a rather large shopping center, so we were almost late and unsure if we parked close enough. Afterwards, we had lots of options to eat & drink, sit and enjoy the outdoors. read more

We did the clock tower one - Love the design of the room but just a few tips for anyone reading for this puzzle. We had a larger group of 8 and it's just way too many people for it. The first room is too small to accommodate there. The last puzzle for the final escape was ridiculous. So it really was one of the best designed rooms I've been to however some of the puzzle designs were really terrible. read more

Went here for the first time for my husbands 50th Birthday. I was really unsure of what to think about it. You know being locked in a room with strangers. FYI you are not locked in but the image does come to mind thought. Any way I was reassured by my husband that it was great experience, because he had participated in an escape room for a team building event. So as a surprise I booked the escape room online (which was easy to do) and began the adventure. I have to say I had a really good time. We did the Clock Tower Mystery, and we had a total of 7 players. It was interesting to see how strangers come together to achieve a goal. We had an hour to solve the mystery. At the end we solved our mystery with 5 seconds left on the clock !!! I would do this again with no hesitation !!! Also the staff that was there where so awesome !!! So if you are in doubt don't be go have a good time !!! I know we all did !! read more

First when we arrived, they asked us to start filling out the required forms but then walked away. She did say the other group was still in there. But 20 minutes later we were able to get in. I wasn't happy that she never came out and apologized for them being late or "hey it'll be a few more minutes". I've tried the other Escape Room in Chandler (Chandler Blvd and Alma School) and liked that one much better. This other one made it crystal clear that if you were late you could not start And would have to reschedule. Apparently not this place. You show up late and it affects everyone down the line and seems that is ok with this one. I won't come back. Definitely go to the other one. We did a team build event here and it was so much fun. Most of the group had never done one before and we managed to save the world from a virus in the Outbreak room and escaped in about 55 minutes. This is new to the Chandler Mall (right by BJ's Brewery and where Cold Stone Creamery used to be). Super clean and really nice inside. Our host was super nice too. The staff was very friendly. Thiefs, scam artists, and depressed punks perfectly embodies the sad excuse for their staff. I would have rather spent $300 on paint and watched it dry then try to "escape" from this lame excuse for an escape room. From props that don't work properly, to locks that unlock by themselves. After solving a puzzle an attendant had to come into the room, pause the game and poke the trap with a stick. We were rudely thrown out because their junky locks would pop open by themselves. When we asked why they were throwing us out, they called security. They refused to refund us our money. They kicked us into the rain and locked the door with our purse inside. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I really hope the owner knows what kind of people are running this place into the ground. read more

All of our clues were broken (literally a worker had to come in and trigger the clue TWO times), and icing on the cake-- and they had to remove us mid game to "factory reset" the room itself since it was broken. It was $150 and felt janky, cheap, and was very poorly executed. Not the workers fault- he was incredibly kind and helped us get a refund and worked hard to make the experience as nice as it could be. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would. It is definitely not worth the money at all. We did the Movie Theater one. The storyline wasn't great. The clues were lackluster. Everything was a keypad or bike lock to get into things, and it wasn't easy to guess which lock or keypad to try because the clues didn't relate well. It just was overall an unenjoyable experience and I would recommend saving your money and trying a different business who utilizes other puzzle play because this one just doesn't. We expressed our disappointment in the game during and after the experience and the guy just went through the motions of "aw, sorry, do you want to take your group picture now?" He also rushed through the explanation at the beginning and the answers at the end and even when he did show the answers, they still didn't make sense. Also a couple of the pieces of the game didn't work properly. Just save your money and go elsewhere. read more
