I'd been once before and had an amazing experience with Ben. I went again because of it and had the opposite experience. The staff were annoyed we were there. My partner and I were the only people there in the middle of the day with 5 employees. No one said hello, or how are you, just asked for a name at check in. We selected the meltdown room and it was very dark and had flashing lights and sirens (not noted on the website). The person guiding us to the room was pretty new and couldn't remember what to say. No problem, they asked for help and the employee that came to help told them, "out of my way." That was offputting. We asked for a different room and offered to come back later. An employee left to go ask her manager if that was ok and came back a couple minutes later. When she came back we asked so what happened. She said "what happened with what?" With the room swap obviously! The manager came out and didn't say a word, was just doing something in the tablet. When asked, he told us we were doing another room, what I had just done 2 weeks before. That just annoyed them further. We came back 30 minutes later booked for a room that suggests 8 players, for 2 of us. We weren't informed of that. The Clocktower was impossible to solve. Pieces that were correct took up to about 7 minutes to click and open the next clue. We were able to open things out of order and it's hard to tell the context of the clues. When we asked for a clue, it took a while to reply and it was difficult to hear through the speaker. As someone who really enjoys escape rooms, the experience I had at this place was mediocre. We played the Wild West Bank heist, and the flow of the puzzles was not stellar. Some of the mechanisms were cool, but overall I don't think the gameplay matches the price tag. If you are interested in this particular room, I would recommend a smaller group, as there are not enough things for a bigger group to feel like they're participating. Like others have mentioned, it seemed like the game masters were either checked out or interested in getting rid of us by pushing us through the game. We went to Escape the Room for some fun on a Birthday. As soon as we walked in you could definitely tell the staff weren't happy to be there. We got signed in and taken to a room, explained the rules. The actual room was pretty neat and the game was designed well. A little tight on space and was very hot. Throughout our time in the room, our game attendant was non existent. We actually finished the room and walked out to the lobby where the staff member just looked at us. It was pretty awkward. We weren't given our finish time and had to ask, is that it? For $160 we expected more of both excitement and enthusiasm from the staff. The interior design was well done but the room had many parts that had clearly been broken for a while but not fixed, the clues are red herrings, so they do not flow naturally and many lead nowhere. There were many technical errors, such as us accidentally triggering the end of the game within a minute of reaching the final segment, which the workers were extremely rude about. The customer service was very poor, all the workers were very short with us, and seemed to not care about or enjoy their jobs. Kept dropping within the puzzle- wasn't strong enough, but everything else was super awesome. We didn't escape in time, but we had so much fun within our group. WORST ESCAPE ROOM EXPERIENCE EVER!!! WALKED OUT. My boyfriend and I have done 80+ escape rooms and this was the worst venue we have EVER been to. We booked 3 back to back rooms: Meltdown, Jurassic, and Clock Tower. When we got there the guy at the front desk looked like he did not want to be there and didn't engage with us at all. Nothing. We gave him the benefit as he may have had a long or off day. A couple had just came out of the Meltdown room and the game master had attitude with them and it was just a super awkward encounter to watch. That should have been the first red flag. My partner and I own an escape room and entering the venue and leaving the venue was disappointing to encounter as it should have been a cherry on the top to their experience, but it's more so like they just don't care and the little details like customer service and establishing a relationship with the customer didn't matter at all. We did the Meltdown room first and the room was so confusing with tons of red hearings and puzzles that didn't even need to be completed to move on to the next puzzle?... Couldn't even tell when you were done with a specific puzzle. Just typing things into a computer and 4 little tech kiosks running the entire game. The last puzzle was VERY disappointing along with other puzzles that had no correlation to the theme, but we escaped with about 9 mins left only due to the prior experience we had. We jumped right into Jurassic and things were unplugged, the game master said she wouldn't limit us to 4 hints but then let us sit there for 20 MINS doing NOTHING at the end when we used 4 hints. We were stuck and if we knew she was actually going to limit us to the 4 hints we wouldn't have asked for that many and would have planned them out more. I CANNOT believe a venue would let a paying customer sit there or do nothing for 20 mins (yes we kept track). Especially since we payed $240 and still had to do another room after... Super awk. We jumped into Clock Tower right after and were told we really need to put on our thinking caps and 80% of groups escaped the last room we did. LOL I can't imagine a group of first timers or younger groups doing any of these rooms and correlating things that have zero direction. We didn't even get out of the first room in the Clock Tower room and again we sat there for 25+ mins doing NOTHING. We asked them to please help and they said we already used the 4 hints, sorry. We were absolutely miserable and they just let us walk out and leave. The guy at the front desk didn't even lift his head from his computer and WE had to be the ones to say thank you goodbye... Awful venue and horrible customer service. We have NEVER walked out of a venue, but we would just be sitting in that hot room trying to do something with the tons of clocks they have and puzzles that make no sense. If you're new to escape rooms: AVOID. If you're an enthusiast: AVOID. Just AVOID tbh and to the venue and employees please know people are spending their hard earned money to have fun and not to be told they can't finish a room and miss out on the experience because they have asked help on 4 out of the 25 random puzzles they have. read more

WALKED OUT -WORST ESCAPE ROOM EXPERIENCE My girlfriend and I have done 80 escape rooms and this by far is the worst experience we have ever had. We came to Texas to do escape rooms around the state. I guess shame on us for not reading Yelp reviews before hand. We booked three rooms back to back to back. $240 and 3 hours WASTED. The Meltdown room looked cool when you go in but most puzzles or stations aren't even used? We "escaped" with 9 min to spare but we both looked at each other like.. that's it? It was so LACKLUSTER. There was not "Hero Moment" at all. We then did the Jurassic room. Also looked cool.. at first.. we were told by our game master that she wouldn't be stingy on the 4 hint rule but once we asked for a fifth hint she said "sorry you used your four hints.. " We had literally 20min left in the room and not a clue on what to do. The clues and puzzles had ZERO direction. This goes for all the rooms by the way. Meaningless. Pointless. Random. After sitting around (yes I literally sat on the floor) the time ended and we were walked straight to the third room we booked, the clock tower. We didn't even get to the second room and again after our 4 hints were told we can no longer get help. We were fed up and literally walked out with 10min left on the clock. No one stopped us, no one said goodbye, nothing. WE were the ones that said goodbye to the man at the front desk and he didn't even turn his head to acknowledge us. This place is a literal joke. We own an escape room and would truly be MORTIFIED if a customer had HALF as bad of an experience as this. They should truly be ashamed to own an escape room. Escape rooms are about the customers, the experience, and immersion. Not about seeing the customers as $$. Its venues like this that turn away good customers that just want to have fun. PLEASE choose a different venue when looking to try an escape room and if you are an escape enthusiast like us, avoid this franchise. read more

We came randomly and were able to schedule a room to ourselves but we also had an option to join another group which I find odd, what if they didn't want people to join them?... This was our first time at an escape room and it was an interesting experience. First off, you don't have a lot to work with so don't be ashamed to ask for clues. Second, even if you have a college degree you will definitely feel stupid at some point but that's okay because that's where the team work comes in handy. Exposed wires, items that open that shouldn't. A couple items missing magnet part so wouldn't open. Place needs maintenance. Loose trap doors not functioning properly. Would only do their rooms with 5 or less people, too congested otherwise. Decor is decent. Downstairs location. Outdated camera used for group pictures so ask them to use your phone camera. No spoilers. We were pretty disappointed with this place. The girl that hosted us wasn't very helpful. She wasn't really paying much attention to us and we feel like there were several things in our room that she didn't reset or test from the previous group. We were in the Jurassic room and there were several impossible clues that didn't connect in any way whatsoever. We've done several escape rooms and know what to expect but it was very weird how she'd give us a clue that was very outlandish and not connected to anything at all. We don't mind things being tough but impossible is another story. We beat the room but don't feel like we could have done it without hints and it seems like we asked for at least 20 of them. We decided to do an escape room today and found this place through Google. It was a drive but we'll worth it and the pricing was great, much less than many others in the Fort Worth area. It was $28 per person. The staff were super sweet teens. They explained things well and gave helpful clues. WORST escape room experience EVER, and we've done 30+ rooms all over Texas and Oklahoma. I only give 1 star because ZERO STARS is not possible... but where do I start? First, I tried to contact them beforehand to ask about rooms, but noone answered online or voicemail. So, I booked online... over $33/person, over $8 booking fee... so 4 people ended up just under $154. We booked TWO rooms, so it cost us well over $300. Email said to be there about early. Got there, and the front door was locked. Called TWICE and nobody answered or came to let us in. Five minutes before our game started, customers leaving the building opened the door, so we went in. Their comments were, "Well, we're losers. Couldn't escape the submarine." The girl dismissed us being locked outside with, "Huh, I had my phone on. Don't know what that's about." First we did the Theater room. The same girl told us that no hints were allowed in this room, but that she would guide us if she saw us getting lost or confused. The room was easily laid out, but a small amount of space, so we were definitely crowded at times. There were exposed wires. One puzzle didn't work, so she had to bring us a token. Every time something was pushed or used, music went off, even if the puzzle was already solved, to the point that we couldn't hear each other or even if anything actually clicked open at times. Puzzles in one room repeatedly referenced something in another, or even opened something in a previous room, so it was hard to tell if what we did had any effect at all at times. When we told her we were stuck, no response. She put one clue up for a code we had already found, but would not guide us to where to use it. We ended up escaping with over 20 minutes to spare. It wasn't our favorite room ever, but it was ok. We had to wait until another staff member came in to do Meltdown, as she was going to be running our game. The explanation of the room was minimal, basically don't let the nuclear facility "melt down." There was no sense of "clues" in the room. One computer said it was melting down, but no clues to fix it. We asked, no response. We used the only half-clue we found. It was a recording on a phone that played, but then would not repeat. We used that code, but got something that couldn't be used anywhere. Everything we tried to solve the puzzles notified us that it was taking time off our clock. We repeatedly asked for help with no response. Twelve minutes in I was ready to leave. The tiny bit of clues we found in the room solved NOTHING, and our frustration grew to the point that it was no longer fun AT ALL. The next puzzle required us to use the same code as before, but backwards. The problem was that we didn't remember the code and the one-time audio recording wouldn't repeat it. The small half-clue said that it was the reverse of the first, so "should be a no-brainer." We repeatedly told her that we didn't remember the code with no response. FINALLY she put up the first code on the screen, which we used to get another item that did nothing. Spoiler alert - the first entire 20 minutes is UNSOLVABLE... ON PURPOSE. It exists just to stress you out. About that time, lights flashed, a door opened and there was instructions that said that this was just a "stress test" and that the real escape was now. The puzzles were lame, with one combination LITERALLY being the word LOSER, and another involving over 8 digit Math that I had to use the calculator on my phone to solve. Almost everything was then plugged into one computer, keys already in place were turned again one at a time, and it was over. We had again escaped with over 20 minutes to spare, but there was ZERO joy, ZERO excitement, ZERO fun. When I told the game master this, she did NOTHING, other than justify that other people like the room, that the first 20 minutes is meant to be unsolvable and stress you out, and that there was nothing she could do about our experience. When I asked for the manager's number, she called the first girl in. She continued to say that they don't make the games, that there was nothing they could do. We tried to explain that we expected to have fun, not be purposefully ticked off, and she said that other people have fun with the room, and that it's meant to tick us off. I told her that an unsolvable 20 minutes followed by random fairly easy clues was a waste of over $150. She just said there was nothing she could do, that we escaped so we should be proud. They truly DO NOT CARE what experience you have there. If you are wanting an escape room in Fort Worth, go to Red Door or Secret Chambers. Their rooms and staff are both fabulous. Don't waste even ONE PENNY on this place! It would be the biggest waste of a penny EVER!!! It definitely wasn't worth my $300!!! read more

We took my son and two of his friends for his 12th birthday. He chose the Bank Heist room, and while we all enjoyed it (especially those who'd never done an escape room before), there was room for improvement. First, throughout the time we were doing it, we could hear loud construction noises from outside the room which was distracting and somewhat diminished the experience. Secondly, when we solved the final puzzle that should've given us the key to unlock the exit door, the mechanism that was supposed to give it to us didn't work. The lady working the desk came in and apologized and let us out. Pretty anticlimactic ending. She'd come in earlier as well because another element was set up in such a way as to make it virtually impossible to complete (she blamed another employee for not having set it up right). Finally, our group picture was crummy. So dark you couldn't see anyone's face clearly, the Escape the Room logo was cut out, and the imprint of our finish time was incorrect. Like I said, everyone had a good time (particularly the first-timers), and none of these were huge problems or anything. This was my third escape room, and with it being more expensive than the others I'd done ($230 for 7 of us), I just expected a bit more. read more

The room was moderately hard but Ethan did his absolute best to make sure no one had fun. Clearly the abandonment of his father and years of female rejection has been brewing inside of him like a volcano for years. Ladies and gentleman it finally erupted, and it was on us. As he sat on his throne laughing, we struggled hopelessly. This wasn't an escape room. This was a way for Ethan to feel superior to those he's not. I have never, in over 100 escape rooms, had to wait over 30 minutes from my scheduled time until I came here. The game master was very slow to respond and when we did get a clue it was for something we already done. The electronic parts required a lot of time waiting for the computer to process. Supremely disappointed by this room. My partner and I have made escape rooms our new date nights. We love escape rooms and decided to try a new place. The woman who led us into the room went to tell us the back story and then told us she forgot the story, so someone else came to tell us. She then closed the door and that was that. Escape the room was DIRTY. There were dust bunnies in every corner, ceiling panels coming off and water dripping into the room. The parts were falling off the equipment and we couldn't tell if they were part of the "immersion" or just broken. They are just broken. We did the Meltdown room and the intercom system was also broken. Anytime the overhead person began to speak in the first room, they'd cut off and we couldn't hear them. We ran around the first room trying to figure things out, but because things were broken, the hints couldn't be given bc the intercom was down, they just OPENED the door to the second room without us doing anything to get it open. I'm trying not to give much away, even though there's not much TO give away, but the first room is just "mini games" that have nothing to do with escaping the room at all. It's a waste of time. Second room is fine, but convoluted and the story line makes no sense. Then, they just let us out at the end. I wouldn't waste your money here. I feel bad for writing a poor review but oh my. PLEASE READ ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! You'll see a pattern... room decor and theme nice, everything else is absolute trash. It is incredibly frustrating to play these rooms that none of the staff or the company cares about. Broken, non functioning and illegible clues/room elements make it IMPOSSIBLE to move forward without intervention from the game master. Our game master was a hot mess. She literally asked if her eyes were red because she just got done crying... then proceeded to bumble about, unable to even get into our room. Hindsight, that's basically an indication of how the hour was going to proceed. She mumbled through the walkie talkie (I hate this system for clues, spend a little money for a screen!!!) and gave us WRONG clues/hints that slowed down our progress. It's so unfortunate because I can see the potential but they need to overhaul their staff and actually fix the rooms! This is also one of the more expensive room which makes it even worse. I am hoping to get a refund through their contact us form or dispute the charge. I feel robbed of money and time and will never do any of their rooms again. read more

We decided last minute to try this place out. First experience ever with an escape room and overall we had a good time. Unfortunately, before we started two locks from our room were already opened. This kinda threw off the flow of the game. Other than that it was neat. A few times we got stuck, we were given a little guidance by staff to make it through. This helped keep us into the game. My husband, two kids, and I did the submarine challenge today. The sets and challenges were well-designed and would have made for an incredible experience had the entire thing not been spoiled by the manager's lack of customer service skills. We spend a lot of money at escape rooms; we won't spend any more of it at this one. If you want an escape room experience where everything actually works, this probably isn't the location for you. I can deal with not being able to escape the room; I do that regularly. But when I'm stuck in the room because of technical issues (their computer glitched), and the manager shrugs it off nonchalantly - as if I hadn't just plopped down a pretty penny for my entire family to go - then I'm not inclined to believe this is a class facility. Worst escape room experience around. I have done 50+ rooms and this one was awful. This place has potential to be great. The room had some cool decor. Customer service was awful! Had kids with us, who were excited to try an escape room, but once we got stuck and had no idea what the next step would be, we asked for a clue multiple times and then kids got frustrated and sat on the bench. The "game master" came on FINALLY and said so sorry I had to step out of the room. She was clueless on where we were at. After getting going again, we got stuck once again and after calling for help multiple times I left the room to go to the front desk. Rang the buzzer and a girl finally made her way to the front. She was not even watching our room. We had 2 min left on our time when another lady came in and said "sorry you didn't make it out" and stood at the door and that was it. All other escape rooms the person will come in and show us how to complete what we were stuck on. This lady had no interest what so ever. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL customer service. What a waste of $$ that was. read more
