I have been coming here for over a year now. I started with a couple times a month then have been doing once a month. All the girls are very friendly. I always book my appointments with Iliana, she is amazing at what she does. She also gives me great advice on how I can take better care of myself and my body when I'm not doing the massages. I recommend sticking to one girl, or try them all until you find the one that you like and are the most comfortable with and especially like the work done on you. One of my visits I chose another girl because Iliana was not available, huge mistake, the girl obviously did not know my preferences or how sensitive my body was therefore she did the ice massage and I was in pain. My advice is always let them know your preference in advance. But if you only stick to one girl it will be easy peasy and each visit will be customized to what you did or what the last visit was. I went in for the first time for a Mesoglow facial, upon walking in you can immediately feel the calming energy in all my senses , its dim, the sounds of relaxing sounds throughout, and even the aromatics just make you instantly feel relaxed. I got a BBL back in December and have been coming to Esencia for all my post-op lymphatic drainage massages since I had surgery. While lymphatic drainage massages are not comfortable, I am soooo happy with my results, now at my 9 month post-op mark. I've gotten upper body lymphatic drainage massages, Colombian-made fajas, mesotherapy, and detox coffee scrubs from multiple of the girls who work here and they all are wonderful and comforting to work with. I've had the absolute worst experience from this establishment, this has been the most unprofessional encounter with a business that I have ever had in my entire life. I would never go out of my way to leave a review like this but I am literally so disappointed and shocked by how ghetto and unprofessional this establishment is. I genuinely feel like they're money hungry and pressed to take money from clients. Not only was I booked for the wrong package, when I brought it to the owners attention I was told that they don't offer reimbursement? Never did I even ask for a reimbursement, I asked for clarification on which package that I was charged for. Nobody in their staff had any knowledge for what I was specifically charged for, they are that unorganized. So after spending $600, I had to go out of my way to correct the package in which I was charged. This was the first incident, and I let it slide because I heard great things about their type of treatments. When I went to book my first session, once again I had to reiterate in which package I paid for and what service I was coming in for, why is none of their staff knowledgeable about what clients are coming in for? Not only that, every session that I've had has started over 15 to 30 minutes late but not once did I complain because I understand that things happen. For my fourth session in the package, it was booked not even 24 hours in advance. I had a family emergency and I had to cancel not even a few hours later after scheduling the appointment. I was told by the manager on the site that my appointment would be lost and I would not be reimbursed for the session in my package. Obviously I was very disappointed and I contacted the business immediately, I requested to speak with the owner Kathy. Prior to this, I have made several attempts to contact her but she is never on site at the business ever since I started coming to her establishment. It's very questionable why there's never a manager or supervisor on site to handle these types of matters. I then got in contact with her daughter who was very unreasonable and not understanding of my situation and chose to cancel my appointment indeed, and not give me any type of compensation in regards to the appointment. I do believe there is a discrimination involved, I was most definitely mistreated and plan to leave a review in regards to my experience on YouTube as well as instagram to my 12k followers. I do feel like this is is not a safe place, especially with the post operative patients and clientele. This place like any other had its pros and cons, but the pros out weights the cons each time. I have been getting weekly massages from Kerin. From Lymphatic drainage to body counturing and I have loved each one. They are not the most pleasant at times as I did have fibrosis after my breast reductions, but Kerin always tailors the massage to what I need that week. The atmosphere and ambiance is perfect for relaxing. Not going to lie, I have taken a few naps on their heated beds. There is a sense of luxury that we all deserve when pampering ourselves. Kathy, the owner, had done a great jobs putting this spa together. The cons is that parking. Arrive with plenty of time to drive around or wait for an open spot. The building could also be missed as it doesn't fit into the area (it's next to a smoke shop, karate and some Market distribution company). I would and do recommend it to everyone I know. I feel terrible leaving this review but I feel it necessary to warn people and hopefully the business will implement some changes. I went in for post surgery treatment. 1 week post op. I still needed assistance changing and putting on my post op garment (faja) but was just put in a room and asked to change on my own and had to put the garments on my own as well. Since i took long to take off my clothes, they took time off my massage. I timed my massage 15 min before they wrapped me up in cold bandages and left them on for 20min. I had a total of 4 massages. All were rushed and I spent more time wrapped in the cold bandages then getting massages. Also, they made me lay on my stomach and used PAINFUL metal tools on me which left me bruises and in more pain than when first went in. I had my post op appointment with my Dr a few days after my last massage with essential spa and he was horrified. I was completely bruised up. He orders me not to go there anymore and that I should've only received hand massages. Also, he said to give it another month before laying on my stomach or until I can do it painlessly. Little did he know essential spa had me lay on my stomach for all my massages. I started getting my post op massages elsewhere and it was night and day. Price was a little less and I got my money's worth. My massages average 1hr 30 ( hands on time) and they use cavitation and red light therapy. I'm just saying there are way better options out there. Just got a wonderful and relaxing pampering session. It was a great experience. Came in last week to book a facial appointment. They told me Kathy would me my esthetician who will let me know the morning of appointment what would be best for my skin. Kathy was very pleasant, I normally get facials done but by far this has been the best. She assessed my skin and gave me her opinion on what would be best. I ended up getting a customized hydrating and anti aging facial with Vitamin C, an organic vegetable peel, derma-planing, Oxygen and Stem Cell mask with aromatherapy. Ive been to this salon 2 times previous for body contouring and enjoyed it., so I figured I would book an appointment for a facial and see how it was and I am a business owner also so I was running late because someone showed up late to my business. I called to tell them I was running 20 minutes late and they were not able to accommodate me and can I reschedule? They told me they kept my $50 deposit because I was a no-show which I was not.. when they text me the night before asking me for a deposit there was nothing told or telling me that I would lose that if I was running late or I needed to reschedule? Really a burn from liposuction!!?? My stomach was perfectly fine before I went into the dome. Yes I had done the dome once before and my body was red but I was not burned. After I came out the dome my lower abdomen was already extremely red and had a rash which your employee acknowledged and commented on it. Of course only my abdomen was only burned because it was where I had my work done. I can't believe you're now trying to pass on liability to someone else. Your employees kept calling me after to check on me because this happened at your shop. I will be reporting you to the BBB and will be seeking legal action. Late Review: Fraudulent Business Practices. I had been receiving services from Esencia Salon for body sculpting/skin tightening to enhance results from working out and loosing weight. Although, the massages were very painful I could see the results in the lessening of cellulite. Due to Covid-19 restrictions they were closed and when the county finally lifted the restrictions to re-open business' I called to schedule an appt knowing I had 9 sessions left that I had pre-paid for. I was told that they switched to a new system and my information was erased, therefore showing I had not only no account info but also no record of my prepaid sessions. I was also told that their sessions expire after 6 months of the purchase date..!!! I explained that I was unable to schedule appts because of LA County's Covid-19 lock down and was told that they have a new system so pretty much too bad for me that I lost out on close to $1K of my money. I was not looking to be reimbursed just wanted my sessions I already paid for. The male receptionist told me they had no way of looking up accounts prior to their "New System" and there was no other option for me but to buy new sessions. I rarely do reviews unless I am really upset and I am 100% upset . I do not recommend this place to anyone and I do not want anyone to go through this. I heard about this place through a good friend of mine who is a beauty influencer and gets all her treatments done by Kathy (the owner) I had a upcoming surgery and decided to pre book all my post op massages with Esencia. Unfortunately Kathy (the owner) only does treatment on influencers but I still went ahead and moved forward with the process with whoever they put me with. FIRST INCIDENT I had my surgery Lipo + BBL on Feb. 17 and received a lymphatic massage on Feb. 19. Mind you I am very fresh and in slight pain. One of my incisions had already closed near my pelvic area and the lady told me it was closed that she would need to reopen it so I can drain. I had other incisions she could have drained me from that were still open. It did not make much sense but I trusted her. The massage was so painful and now I had to deal with a open incision that was never supposed to be open in the first place. ** The on call nurse where I had my surgery done at told me they should have left it alone ** SECOND INCIDENT I returned to get my drains removed and stitches. That experience was fine. Very quick and painless. I was told that I need to purchase a stage 2 faja because I was 7 days post op. I went ahead and purchased a black XS waist/2XL booty. I tried it on, loved it and purchased it. $278 to be exact over prized but than again this is my first time getting surgery and I would hope they'd guide me in the proper direction. THIRD INCIDENT I found someone to do my post op massages at home daily for the first few days because my first massage at Esencia scared me. I finally got the courage to return to Esencia because I still had a remaining of 4 massages that I had already paid for. I was 14 days post op for this visit. They used metal tools to do my massage and the entire time I had my eyes closed just praying for it to be over. The lady recommended a smaller faja due to having fibrosis. I was currently wearing XS waist and 2XL booty that I had just purchased from them 7 days prior in which I told her. She said I needed more compression and recommended a 3XS/XL booty. When they assisted me in the restroom to try it on it was EXTREMELY tight. I asked them if they were sure I needed this because once again I had just purchased the stage 2 faja 7 days prior and with the XS stage 2 faja I could not fit my board in. They said that the faja would get bigger once I had it on for a few hours. That its just really tight bc its brand new. I went ahead and took it. Mind you now I have 2 stage 2 fajas FOR NO REASON. When I was in the lobby area I asked someone else if the faja was suppose to fit that tight? I believe her name was Linda, told me NO. I told her as well that I already had a stage 2 faja that I bought 7 days ago to check their system. Instead of her or any of them telling me I did NOT need to purchase another faja, she recommended another size. I was sold the same identical faja that I had already purchased. I was so upset when I was home and realized they really took advantage of me all for a sale. I called and hoped they would make the exception of refunding me for a mistake on their end but they did not care. My sister and mom both called and explained to them as well but they were not having it. They said NO REFUND. I feel very uncomfortable and will not return NOT even for my remaining PAID massages. The fact that they have no consideration to their customers is beyond me. I own and run a business myself and I would NEVER do any of my customers like this. Go at your own risk. Had my 1st ever session at Esencia Salon & Spa. Jeanette performed the lower body contour + butt lift session. The room is dimly lit with relaxing spa music playing. The bed lined with a thermal mylar metallic blanket which keeps you comfortably warm. You are asked to put on the disposable bandueu bra and thong that are lying on the bed and asked to wait laying face up. Jeanette explained what she was using and doing as she went and explained why which is what a first timer wants! Overall it is relaxing, but be prepared, it is painful as she works deep into the muscle and tissues to break up body fat and help with toning, so be prepared!! I wish I had been booked for a longer appointment as they only had me down for one hour & I was planning to have a facial as well since I drove from an hour away and I was hoping for a longer visit worth the drive. For a first time visit it was fine. Jeannette was nice and answered every question I had in detail which was appreciated. I purchased the detox tea & slimming tea to assist with my current weight loss, so I'm excited to try them out. I went to my first massage when I was 5 days post op they were massaging me really hard even the pain killers were to wear off, the massages were painful and bad another thing the cold bandage they put on me burned my skin and left me with a brown burn mark on my abdomen, I didn't do my research before I just saw that my friend goes there so k was like okay this might be normal. Then I went back I was 2 WEEKS POST-OP and the girl started using tools on me I was in pain I almost fainted and I kept telling the girl it hurts and she still kept going!
