Well first off, I must say at my 40 years I have never had a facial. So I was a bit nervous because I decided to do this a few days before my wedding. I must admit, it was the best decision ever! I had originally made a Botox appt and after reviewing my responses I got a call explaining how the Botox would not really make a difference on my wedding day and recommended another option for me. I thought that was great given that I'm VERY new to this facials and Botox stuff. Upon getting there the location is in a good visible spot and easy to park. The front desk girl was very pleasant and the office smelled nice and is very clean (HUGE plus). I was then greeted by Itzel. She was cheerful, knowledgeable, and I liked that she explained everything she was doing. I called earlier today to inquire about and schedule an appointment for microneedling. The woman who answered the phone was polite, but she wasn't particularly knowledgeable. She seemed unsure about the services they offer and told me they don't perform microneedling with hyaluronic acid, even though their website lists it as an alternative to PRP. I walked in on a whim, just curious to see if they might have any facial appointments available. I honestly didn't expect them to take walk-ins, but to my surprise and delight, they had an opening! It felt like a little blessing, especially since it was my day off and I really needed some self care. Itzel was incredible from start to finish. She was not only professional and knowledgeable, but also warm, friendly, and made me feel completely comfortable. She explained every step of the process . Unfortunately this place was a no-go for me. With all the great reviews I decided to give this place a try especially since it was my very first time getting tox. I used to work at a med-spa and I remember the PA whom I worked with told me if Botox doesn't last 5to6 months then it's being diluted way too much and that's also how places can charge a lot less per unit. Well my results were good for 1.5 months. I understand everyone's body is different and I can potentially metabolize quickly but knowing what I know, plus I paid $480 to only last me 1.5 months didn't leave a good impression. Since then, I've gone to a different place in Downey and paid substantially less (because they said I needed less units) and have had my results last the full 5to6 months therefore confirming my thoughts on this place diluting their Botox too much. read more
