Good food. Delicious coffee. Prompt and pleasant service. I had a few minutes to kill until the next leg of my tour of Paris started, so I stopped in for some refreshment. The guy behind the counter was smiling, welcoming, and very energetic. He answered all of my questions (en Anglais et Français... I think I heard him addressing guests in Spanish and Italian, as well) and he got my order to me in no time. I ordered a tuna, squash and fromage sandwich on focaccia which sounds random as hell, I know, but trust me... it was absolutely amazing. I nibbled on a tiramisu macaron while I waited for my sandwich. Unsurprisingly, it too was fantastic. The barista was equally swift and whipped up my cappuccino just in time for me to catch the next leg of my tour. It was rich and creamy and just hot enough for me to sip right away without incident. If I'd known it was going to be this good, I would have ordered a large. My only regret is that I did not have time to sit and savor my meal. So much city to see, so little time.

Alright I'm giving this place one star based on two experiences. The first time I came here I was absolutely amazed. It was busy and they had 5 people working hard to get to orders out. a young male manager greeted us and helped guide us through coffee ordering. I got a cold brew and a weird little milk coffee almost ice cream type thing in a shot glass. Both were amazing! My friend said the yogurt he got was the best he had in his life, that was 5 stars. But on Saturday morning we went before our flight when they opened at 9am. We we're outside the door and spoke to a really nice french dude who was picking up coffee for work. The girl working by herself who opened the door looked miserable but when he talked to her she immediately perked up with him. He asked her what Cold brew was (in french) and in an extremely derogatory manner she spoke back to him saying "just cold coffee that Americans love". Really? I placed my order after saying by to the dude with my friend and she went cold right as she spoke to us. I ordered the same two drinks as before, a can of coffee, and gave her 50 euros. I hadn't used euros at all but she scanned the bill and gave me change back for my $16.70 euro order. She gave me $3.30 euros back instead or $33.30 back. I had no idea until I was giving my friend euros for the taxi and he said "that's 30 cents". While waiting for our flight a gal told us that it's common in France for them to do that to clueless tourists. So yeah, ef you rude french american hating thief barista.

It was great to see an Illy bar here! Their lattes were just ok. I was expecting the coffee to be served in regular mugs but instead they served it in champagne flute looking glasses which was a small amount. Their WiFi sucks so good luck with that. Their service isn't as friendly either so that's another down side.

Coffee size too small for us not so small Americans. Croissants were average. Sorry won't be visiting again

If it's cold out, I'm guessing there's room for 10-15 people inside if you get real cozy. Motors Coffee has the best merchandise I've seen at a coffee shop: I spotted keytags[2], stickers, and lighters. I went for a Hot Wheels-inspired lighter and have no regrets. Motors just dropped a new lighter design (check their Instagram @motorscoffee). Credit accepted. They have a loyalty card so you can keep track of all the coffee you're drinking, and eventually get a free coffee. [1] In a hip Parisian way. [2] Pretty sure they're from Various Keytags, an awesome Brooklyn-based company.

It was head and shoulders our favorite coffee shop in the City of Light, and we lowkey made our rounds. It's a small shop, but filled to the brim with life and passion. I'm normally not a pastry guy, but if I lived anywhere near Motors I would absolutely be a pastry guy. The cinnamon roll was light and delicate, as opposed to the overly sweet and dense ones I'm used to. We also got a vanilla pastry they were testing, and a sugar cookie with milk chocolate drizzled on top. Ugh, take me back, inject these into my veins. I got my goto hot black coffee, and you could taste the freshness of the beans. My girlfriend got a latte that had the most beautiful little flower art on it. How do they even do that? I'm proud of myself, as I knew even when we were sitting in here enjoying our pastries, hot coffees, and each other's company that this was a moment I would look back on and cherish. It's always great knowing it's one of those moments when you're actually in it. You can fully appreciate it. My one regret is that I didn't get the ladies name serving us, as she was so sweet, recommended great pastries, and was just a pleasant human being. They don't make em like sis anymore... I started off with an Expresso Martini which was very good and yes this is how it is spelled here and I like that because that is how I always pronounce it. With our drinks our waiter even brought us out fresh olives. Now I'm not the biggest fan but Ashley very much enjoyed it. There was a lot on the menu that I was interested in and they had a number of different cuts of beef but I had to go with the Whole Duck Breast which is also a French classic which I got cooked medium rare but I'm perfect sure that's how they suggest it which is the right way like they do with all their beef too. Ashley and I also split the French Onion Soup. I will say by Duck was very good. Tasty rich sauce with crispy duck skin cooked perfectly. Some of the best duck I have had in awhile. I will say the French Onion Soup though was a little bland. I just didn't have that rich beef broth I am used too. Beside that everything was very good and would for sure recommend going to Café Blanc for a nice menu which amazing French options.

We spoke to a lady who was American but moved to Paris years ago. She recommended the chocolate hazelnut which changed her life. So us fat kids sampled the 6 flavors which the girl brought us inside the business to give us the samples. I then told her large she gave me extra large with 5 scoops. We got lemon ice, coffee gelato, chocolate chip, chocolate hazelnut and the chocolate fondue. Everything was delicious. But I think we were gelatoed out and the lemon ice was amazing ! Everything was good but the lemon stood out. It was just more refreshing as we walked Disney Paris all day then walked from metro to the stores. Then we met the store owner who was really sweet and we chatted for a bit and then said hey do you want something to go? I said no it's ok and then she said here have more lemon ice. My wife and I destroyed that as well. She was so sweet. She said it doesn't make you fat since it's just water and sugar and fresh lemon. I said yeah it will lol. I'd come back.
