I have been going to Essence Spa for over a year now. The workers there make you feel so relaxed and comfortable it's like my second home. Joyce is a great manager. This place is amazing. I was called nature's care. They went through a minor renovation and they offer a few more services. I went in for a 30 min foot detox and 45 min foot massage. Joyce is amazing. She recognized me when I walked in and gave me a mini tour of the upgrades. She offers full body massages, facials(coming soon), and lymphatic massages now. Joyce had an appointment coming soon after I arrived so a lady named Ping gave me my massage. She was the nice lady. Just the right amount of pressure on my feet and calves( I've been working out alot lately). I asked her to massage me wrists once she concluded the foot massage. Not only was it no problem to accommodate my request, she gave both my arms a quick once over. I really appreciate it. It's time for a nap......lol. I've been to other foot massage places before and they don't compare to Essence Spa. I don't like how after the therapist is done, they always stalk you for a tip. This place is not the place to go for a massage. I went for Valentines day and had the worst massage I have ever had. I was promised a couple massage for $57 and when I go there the price totally changed. The girl who did my massage poured hot massage oil on my back and just rubbed it in and did not even massage it in. Then she hit my back about five times. She rocked me over and over on my hips no relaxing at all and the really awful part is she kept yawning like she was totally bored to death. When it got to my legs. She uncovered both legs, normal massage therapist will do one leg at a time. She rubbed oil and again just rubbed it hit my legs a few times then rubbed my feet. After that she came back and rocked my hips some more. Not one relaxing moment. You will love this part, when I told the girl at the front about my experience you would have thought she would accommodate me with the price because of this experience but instead she said everyone complains about that lady and maybe ask for someone else if I come back again. NEVER will I come to that place and Beware if you go there. They are not trained Therapist. read more

My daughter & I went for the foot massage with ionic detox. Absolutely amazing. The foot massage included not only the feet but also the legs with rotation. The ionic detox blew me out of the water. They provided a chart with the various colors your water may turn into so I was expecting some change in water color. My daughter's ended up as a dark brown you could see through it but mine was black & it looked like sludge. The girl asked another girl to come see my water & she said I need to drink more water. I already drink about 40oz daily but I'm going to up this. Overall the place was clean & treatment was great. I wasn't sure this made a difference until the next day when finally my sinuses cleared up after a full month of blowing my nose. I bought a Groupon for my hot stone massage & detox foot soak. This place was also referred to me by a couple of co-workers. First of all, I have probably driven by this place a million times but never paid attention. If you want the strip ambience with waterfalls & crystal tile go to the strip BUT if you want a genuine deep tissue massage this is your spot. True to the expression never judge a book by its cover. I desperately needed relief from the pressure in my next & shoulders. My therapist was a tiny Asian lady with tiny hands but OMG she worked her magic & released my tension & then some! She wasn't just going thru the motions of applying oil & messing around. The prices are very reasonable, great packages on Groupon as well. I'm going back in a week for another session. Boyfriend really liked Vicky, who really got in there with all the pressure points, closer to deep tissue massage. I was attended to by Joyce, the owner and she was just fantastic. It is clear that she "gets it" when it comes to running a service business. She could write the training manual on how to treat customers and make them feel respected. Her technical knowledge is just as great. I live in Vegas and tried Essence after trying a few others. The others were fine but Essence will be my massage home from now on. For those from out of town, it is close enough to the strip to be very convenient but away from all of the hustle and bustle. It's been awhile since I got a massage. So I found this on Yelp after my primary massage therapist is booked. And I wanted to find a quick and easy massage therapist with no appointments necessary, just walk-ins. Luckily, I found this place. I called to make sure if they were free and not booked. And a lady (which I just forgot her name) told me they are free anytime and it's going to cost me $60 for one hour. So I came right away and when I arrived there. I waited not to long and I was greeted nicely by an oriental lady. She put me in the room and I waited a couple of minutes. Another lady greeted me in the room and started to work her soft hands to get rid of my cramps and sore stiff muscles that are mostly in the back, arms and neck. Everytime if she rubs my back too hard and I feel hurting she rubs it softly and asked me if I was ok. I was. No pain no gain right?? lol. The massage was wonderful and I left a tip. They gave me a punch card for free and told me If I get 9 massages the 10th is free. I'm definitely going to return. read more

Although foot massage was great, the body massage was terrible. The masseuse used a plastic machine for the entire time because she was "tired." Additionally, she did not focus on the area I had requested, instead just elbowing me harshly in my back and moving on other body areas. My friend and I came to Vegas for a long weekend and wanted to have a spa afternoon. All of the services in the strip hotels were so incredibly overpriced that we started researching options off the strip. We came across Essence Spa and were impressed with their prices and what we were able to find out about it online. We each booked a two-hour massage treatment at $130 a piece. The same two-hour treatment in an on-strip spa would have cost us at least $400 each. Essence is a few miles west of the strip but even with a cab both ways, is still saved us a few hundred bucks. The spa was clean, calm, staff extremely friendly, and the massages were excellent. Two hours flew by as we both melted under deep tissue massage, hot stones, and some assisted stretching. If you have the time, I'd encourage you to give Essence Spa a try. read more

I was planning a trip to vegas with a group of friends and we wanted to get a massage while out there. I found a deal for essence in groupon. booked 5 massages and each lady had a different outcome. one of the ladies in the group was trying to tell her therapist that she was working to hard on her shoulder. The therapist must not have spoken English because she didn't stop or reduce the pressure. My friend felt like a nerve got over worked and her should hurt for days after. When I got my massage I was expecting a nice relaxing massage and instead I got a gentleman that gave me a totally different kind of massage. It felt like I was getting a workout. He did great reflexology on my head but just moved so fast. We were all suppose to receive a hot stone massage, which eventually they used hot stones on us but the stones were only used for a few moments. My sister was getting a massage along with me and her therapist kept stopping the massage to leave the room. The massage therapist never said that she needed to stop or leave would just walk out, the masseuse would leave the room to get the hot stones and towels, very unprofessional. My sisters lady actually told her her English wasn't very good. The other 2 ladies in group both loved their massages one of them even got the same male therapist I did. She really enjoyed the reflexology as well. I feel like this deserves a 2.5 star rate for a few other reasons not listed. read more

Joyce who answers the phone is WONDERFUL! ! Kevin had absolutely magical fingers! ! ! He did not speak good english, however, Joyce cheerfully translated all I needed. His training shines through as well as the strength in his fingers. I did a 1 hour foot massage on Tuesday it was so good, came back on Thursday! Oh so worth the short ride from the stip. May not look exceptional on the front, but for the price I had to tip well. I could not, in good conscious, walk out and pay the low prices they charged. He even finished up with a hot stone massage!
