My review here is mainly going to focus on two individuals - Dr. Barberic and Katie Evans. I'll begin with Katie. She went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of me. When I was referred to a specialist at Vandy, Katie called them to get my appointment scheduled as quickly as possible. She even personally met me when the office was closed in order to pick up some paperwork from me. She texted to check on me over a holiday weekend. This is what excellent customer service looks like! Dr. Barberic is absolutely the best!! I just can't say enough about her and what she has done for me. She is, without a doubt, the most caring and compassionate doctor I've ever seen. The level of care and personal attention she gives is unparalleled. There is no doubt I would not have progressed as well as I have had it not been for Dr. Barberic. She took the time to call and check on me the same weekend of her father-in-law's funeral. That is certainly above and beyond the expectations I had. She genuinely cares about her patients and wants the very best for them. I am so very thankful for everything she has done for me! There are certainly other staff members that I can recognize. Being as busy as we all can be, its hard to wait and be patient. :) We ordered a trial pair of contacts (first time attempting to wear them vs. glasses) and they came in very quick. They called and scheduled an appointment for me to come in an learn how to put them in, etc. etc. Again, Cecelia and Alyssa were AMAZING!!! Alyssa was very informative on the contact process and educated me so well on how to use them. No wait when I walked in, she had my contacts ready to rock and roll.
