I recently visited this spa and had mixed experience. During my facial, I found it difficult to relax because the esthetician wore thick rubber gloves to protect her long nails. Every time she touched my face, I felt the coldness from her gloves, these made the entire service feel cold, abrasive and it was impossible to relax. In my experience, short, clean nails are essential and a basic professional standard in this profession. On a positive note, I received a body massage from a different therapist and it was absolutely wonderful. Celestial Spa is actually the first spa I ever went to. I'm happy it was! I got 'Fly me over to the Moon' package which is full body massage and facial. Once you walk in, they are so welcoming and friendly. The whole vibe in there was very calming. If you are new to Celestial they make you fill out a form asking 'have you had a massage' 'how much pressure you like' 'any medications' type questions. Not hard:) after I was done filling out the form, Olivia (massage therapist) took me in a spa room and gave me directions on what to do since it was my first time. After all what I needed to do, she later knocked and came in the room and gave me one of the BEST massages I've ever had in my life! I knocked out for a little bit because it was super relaxing!!! I really needed it! She was super sweet and made me feel comfortable! Thank you, Olivia! After my full body massage was over, my facial was next. Madison (Esthetician) did my facial. Never had one done before so I didn't know what to expect. She gave me advice on how to take care of my skin and recommended on what I should use. I appreciate her attention to detail with putting a wrap over my hairline so as not to get any product in my hair. After leaving the spa I headed back to my hotel to put my Diva Day gifts to use! I booked this place for three diva day specials for my Mom's birthday vacation-glad I did! Registering was simple and quick and they confirmed all appointments is email and followed up the day before! From the greeting to the end-service was superb! We all had the services booked simultaneously. My only tiny issue is you could hear the patron next door (although it was my mother and she talked the entire time) it was hard to totally relax. On from that, my masseuse was superb and actually educational. From the first touch I knew I was in good hands. Thanks Mr K! He even stretched out some areas and just took really great care and concern. He was awesome! My facial was done by Claudine and she was sweet and very good with over 20 years of experience although she looked 25! . They had treats and goodies along with some wine in the room. The staff was friendly and professional and their office was incredibly accommodating when I had to reschedule my appointment because of sick children. Came to Myrtle Beach for vacation and had an itch to get a massage. Booked a couples massage at 10AM which normally is my completely awake time. I was so relaxed and dozed off a couple of times despite a good night's rest. Our therapists Maryanne and Melissa was awesome. We asked for Deep Tissue but got a little bit of hot stone which apparently was a signature massage there. The combo was amazing! At the end, the hot towel rub was great, so we didn't walk out of the spa oily, but instead relaxed with soft skin. The products they use is all natural and the scent is not overwhelming. It's a quaint spa in a what looks like a business center, don't miss it. I loved my experience so much that I booked a facial. My Facial was great too. I booked with Shelby a couple days after the massage. I got a great facial and a little bit of massage as well. She even went the extra step to print out a great article about how to treat my skin. I would say it was more a relaxation facial- no steaming or extractions which i was a little surprised about for the price of $85. Enjoyed a couples massage, my boyfriends first massage ever. The atmosphere was very serene, pressure was perfect, and I felt wonderful after. My boyfriend's masseuse even stepped out to grab a cold towel to place on his swollen ankle, to alleviate some swelling on a recent injury. Some parts of my body were done perfectly, with my masseuse forgetting to repeat movements on the other side. Ok, So I really liked this place. The three stars however reflect the averaging that needed to happen between the two services I had: facial and prenatal massage, Fly me to the Moon Package. The massage was great! I really needed it and it helped relax all those tensions and pains that are evident in the pregnancy process. I was so comfortable and didn't want to leave by the time it was over. The facial, on the other hand, was severely mediocre to unsatisfactory. I honestly couldn't recognize how it could be called such; didn't know when the facial was over because I kept waiting for it to start. My advise would be to go for gold on the massages but skip the facials. read more

After searching around I found Celestial Massage close to the hotel I was staying at. I called them and was able to book an appointment for the same day. It was a little more money than I would normally spend but the massage felt great. The hot rocks were just hot enough, hot towels felt great, and the massage itself was great. I've had numerous massages in the past and this was by far the best. My massage therapist was not only skilled but informative. She was very attentive to my tension points and even demonstrated the cupping technique. The entire staff was so friendly and I've already recommended to the rest of our group to make an appointment for massages. I have had a lot of massages, and this one from Jennifer was head and shoulders better than my previous best. I'm not kidding: amazing! Very reasonably priced compared to some of the massages you can book through your hotel or resort, and a really nice place. Super relaxing. The Celestial massage included hot towels, hot stones, and was really just dynamite. I booked an hour, and she even gave me an extra 5-10 minutes.
