From the inviting store front that transports you to Hawaii and the welcoming reception, to the thorough care they take to make sure all of your needs are met and kinks are worked out, I can see why Touch of Aloha has won best of Myrtle Beach, year after year! My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our couples massage here. When we entered our room, the therapists Samantha and Logan spoke with us at length about our needs and assured us that everything would be tailored to our liking. We were given the option of choosing an essential oil that would be used during the massage as aromatherapy to inhale. I was impressed by the variety of oils that we had to choose from; they even had a lesser known oil that I love called ylang ylang which is great for stress, anxiety, tension and sleep. Upon lying down, we noticed that the tables were already heated which immediately made us feel relaxed. Our therapists definitely listened to our needs and spent time working on areas with the most tension. The pressure was perfect and the stretching helped relieve muscle tension. They even used hot stones, coconut oil, and almond butter. Needless to say, I left feeling like a relaxed snack! Our experience ended with a refreshing bottle of water and a glass of wine (I asked if this was an option when I called, so if you are interested, make sure to mention that when you make your appointment). We melted into our seats and after such a relaxing experience, we enjoyed the opportunity to sit and sip quietly for a bit. At first I cringed at the price because a massage can be hit or miss. And, in my experience, more miss the higher the price. Unless I get a personal recommendation, of course. Note: Day spas are slightly different and difficult to compare price wise because there are extras that come with it, a lounge area and sometimes pools, saunas, and steam rooms. I will say, Sarah and Christy fit the bill for our couples massage. It had been a few months since we had massages, so we opted for 60 minute deep tissue. We knew we'd be sore after but needed some deeper work. I was blown away by the care and attention. I'll speak only regarding Sarah now, as she was my masseuse. She covered all of my problem spots with the strong pressure needed but was great at checking in to make sure it wasn't too much. I loved it! She is super strong, so don't be afraid to let her know if it is too much. I've had some great massages...this one topped the charts. I'll definitely be back. They require payment when you make the appointment. I opted to tip in cash after the appointment, as I think it is based on the service provided and they definitely earned it. We came about 4 years ago and I remember the place smelled like old oils or wax so we started trying other places. My husband was new to massages and thought it was great and I was crazy. We decided to give them another try because we hadn't prebooked with our usual place. The minute we walked in and got seated I smelled it and so did he. He said it was the worst massage he's had and the areas he told her needed attention she avoided and focused on his back and shoulder instead which were fine. She even left the room coughing but came back. My massage was ok but I couldn't take the smell. Compared to our usual place it lacks the serene decor and ambiance. When it was over they turn the overhead light on and our other place is still dimly lit but we can see to dress. The biggest part was it was it was nearly $400 for a 90 min couples massage plus their tips. Outrageous! We'll stick with our usual place that has better massages, ambiance and is way cheaper. What a special little place! I called several times before and there was no availability. I was finally able to make a next day appointment mid-week. I wasn't thrilled that they charge you for your service at the time of booking. I understand having to give a credit card to reserve and having a charge for no-shows, however, as a first time customer, I did not like being charged before seeing the facility, experiencing the service or adding tip. I was impressed with the excellent customer service, modern and bright facility, and good use of space. Note: the place is very small and with only 3 treatment rooms, this is likely why it is difficult to get an appointment there. BOOK IN ADVANCE! My massage was great with a combination of acupressure, Lomi-Lomi, hot stones and Swedish techniques. I appreciated that aromatherapy was included and a perfect addition to my treatment. As a local, I would definitely return to this hidden gem for another massage. TIP: There is an extra charge for using a credit card for payment so, if possible BRING CASH. Apparently, they charge you prior to your massage on the credit card but will reverse it and allow you to pay cash for the reduced price when you get on-site. This wasn't explained to me when I booked so, I missed this opportunity on my first visit since I wasn't prepared with enough in cash. read more

I booked with Sarah who worked wonders on my back. I booked a deep tissue massage hoping it would be therapeutic for my pain. Sarah was very skilled and knowledgeable. She used a variety of techniques to address and alleviate my pain. She was intuitive and still confirmed my level of comfort while she worked the muscles in different ways. She even provided stretches I could use on my own after I left to continue to keep my muscles stretched and prevent a reoccurrence of pain. I've been coming here for about two years now. Everyone on the team is very friendly and knowledgeable, you're in good hands no matter who your therapist is. One thing I would highly recommend is the upgrade to using CBD oils, as it leaves your whole body with a very relaxing effect that lingers throughout the day. I wondered if it was actually because of the CBD or if the massage was just that good and I was experiencing some sort of placebo effect, so I tried with the regular oil again just to confirm. It's a small place, with 2 rooms, but they do have a couples' room so about 3 people could get their massages done at the same time. My massage therapist was Patricia. She was very nice and friendly. I answered a brief questionnaire about my massage history and explained what I was looking for. The type of massage offered here is Hawaiian style (though I've never experienced that when I visited Hawaii). The room was cozy and super relaxing. The massage was probably one of the best ones I've ever had in my life! Just the right combination of relaxation and deep tissue as I have so much tension in my neck and shoulders.
