These folks do pretty work and the space is bright and clean. Attentive staff too. The issue - arbitrarily charging for services. Fourth of July nails - I had three colors. Red white and blue. Nothing fancy. Just different fingers. One price -$40. This last visit -only two colors and was charged $42. Again only different fingers. When asked why they said it was because I picked two colors. When I explained that just 2 weeks prior I was not charged for the three colors she blamed it on the owners changing the price. Consistency is key with customers returning. If prices are to be raised -let it be known. If you would also print out a menu of what you charge customers will know ahead of time. Sorry - they lost my trust. First got seated in a chair with ants crawling all over it, (I should have left right then) Waited 45 min soaking, Haley did my pedicure and rushed through it, French tip was completely uneven & the massage was 2 min long if that. First and will be the last. My sister and I went to get a pedi and nails done.. everything was perfect . My sister is visiting from Mexico so we went to take a relaxing and peaceful time. Went the nail techs started working on our nails this lady comes very rude and loud to my sister but we continued in our conversation.. later, we all notice another customer complaining she was getting hurt and she will bleed, but we didn't care so we just ignored but the nail techs specially this rude lady were gossiping about it, laughing at the fact the customer was complaining.. me and my sister looked at each other and smiled "meaning like ok...." So it happened maybe 2 more times her talking about the customer. It got very heavy energy, uncomfortable, weird! So I said please for her not do that on front of us. All we wanted is a relax, peaceful moment. When I asked her, she did not conceder my point. She started yelling very dramatic and crazy.. Saying how can I say that to prove it. I told her that's not the point for my sister and me I is getting uncomfortable, is not professional. Then she said I'm not doing your nails get out of the nail salon. The problem is not that because we can find another place. The problem is the way I was treated and humiliated. To the point I started getting a panic attack because she was to much, it was the worst thing I had to deal. There was no way I can sit there while she speaks to me that way, I was leaving very broken for what I experienced but as I was drying my feet, getting ready to leave. She is still screaming, cursing, saying all this kinds of stuff. I had no chance to say nothing, that was the craziest thing I have ever deal with. I cried, I could hold it because I couldn't process all of it it was too much. This other lady came to tell the rude nail tech lady to stop, she stud up for me. This makes me learn to never never let know one treat me that way, I got kicked out because I asked for her to not gossiping on front of us, at the end of the day customers opinion should matter then how can your Business succeed? You who is reading this might say you would of left it alone, but everyone is different and I understand people done bother but I do, I bother cause I'm paying for nails, but also for the experience. Peaceful, good energy place to feel nice while you do your nails. Her making fun the customer was pretty obvious to us. We all adults here. Her acting that way makes me know she has anger issues and not being able to handle your emotions at work, then it won't succeed. I leaned from this to walk away as soon as I feel uncomfortable, never putting my self in this situation and a person messing my energy, but is necessary to point out to the reality of the situation and this lady who clearly doesn't like her job and enjoys what she does. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. My 9 year old selected her colors for her mani/pedi and the MANAGER, Kim, went and selected "new color" for her because she didn't like the colors my daughter selected. She literally went and sat down to paint my daughters nails and said "I don't like this color". Not ok. She absolutely didn't get away with that, I let her know that that's not ok and she has no right to choose which color is best for my daughter. Aren't we supposed to encourage our kids to be themselves? The other nail techs were so sweet, awfully embarrassed and super apologetic for Kim's behavior. Kim should absolutely not be in the position she's in. I would not advise any one to use this nail salon. I went with my wife and I was getting a deluxe pedicure and a regular manicure. My wife was originally just going to get a manicure with polish and since I was over in the manicure chair she decided to do a $10 soak and trim and as soon as the lady we told, she started to remove the the nail polish that was just a couple days earlier. The lady to make it worse charged us 32 dollars to remove all the nail polish my wife wanted to keep and reapply it. My nails look uneven in trim and how they were buffed as well. I have gone there a couple years . First with Kevin and then Lena. Now they are both gone . I went today and had the worse manicure I've ever had. The lady was running around starting and stopping with 4-5 people getting pedicures and nails done . She never even sat down when she was doing my nails so that she could rush off to the next person. The first time my right thumb nail cracked and my left index finger, I even went to the same nail technician "Jay" and this time he seemed to be in a rush because he had another appointment. I would love to give a higher rating, as i think my nails look nice. Giving 2 stars because NOTHING that was used on my nails was new or sanitized. Legally nail techs should use brand new nail files and they used old files that were used on other clients. She cut nearly all of my fingers with the file as she was filing the sides of my nails. Good customer service, i wouldnt come back though since i dont want an infection from a salon that doesnt care about using sanitary products on their customers. read more

Don't come here if you want good results or a lasting product. I tried this place out after seeing it next to my gym. I went in for pedi and Nexgen as usual. The people were nice, pedicure was relaxing but the finish product was not. My nail guy complains, after trying to fix bubbles in my nails multiple times, that they need new product. I had to leave there with no clear coat on the nexgen and after getting home, noticed my toe nail polish was thick, peeling, and not even on all nails. ‍ Seriously, after almost a $100 I will not be going back. The right tool and good products are important in a service industry and I believe they are cutting corners. Stay clear!!!!! read more

Would not recommend! Went in exactly a week ago and got a yellow dip powder set on my nails, by Thursday( 5 days after getting them) a nail had broken in half and I assumed maybe I was too rough. However that is not the case! The nails are not done properly, I woke up yesterday morning (6 days after getting them done) and a full nail is gone after simply opening my blinds! So I call I make an appointment to get them fixed and they do it for free however as you see one of them is noticeably crooked! I go about my day being as careful as possible because mind you I need these nails for graduation but of course just now pushing my bedroom door open a full nail pops right off in one piece! If you are considering essential save time and money and just get press ons it's the same thing for cheaper!!! read more

I've gotten several pedicures and she did it wrong. Like ??? Then was rough with my feet after I pulled away because she hurt me. I am new to the area and stopped by as I was driving by. I got a basic mani and pedi that were both great. Both nail techs were very detailed. I am giving 3 stars because 1. the nail polish was thick (I should have checked it 1st) 2. the owners were not wearing masks and they did not require that all patrons wear a mask. Covid is on the rise and they clearly aren't making safety a priority. Maybe I'll try this place again after Covid. read more

Gel Manicure $38. I always passed this by as the big 10% sign calls me in. I caved in and went today, and sadly, the service does not live up to the hype. The interior is very nice and luxurious, the reception desk is inviting. I was greeted upon walking in and got sat down on a manicure bar after 5 minutes. That was downhill from there! They speak very little English and there was no conversation made. I was NOT offered drinks - the menu says water/soda/champagne will be provided - felt awkward to ask so I decided to leave it be. Menu says my manicure will come with a hand and wrist massage- all she did was apply a very sticky lotion - no massage. I travel a lot and have paid cheap and good money for all kinds of manicure, this my friends, is an overpriced Express manicure that is worth $16. I will not be returning. read more

My daughter went here to get her nails done for HoCo. I had to leave her there to pick up other kids, so she had paid by the time o got back. She was charged $45 for a single color with an accent nail. I thought the price was a bit high, so I called a couple of days later asking their price on dip acrylic. They told me $40 & no upcharge for a different colored accent nail (which is typically the case). Her nails look good, & it's too soon to see how well they'll hold up. But I would NOT RECOMMEND them due to devious pricing tactics. read more

So, this is my normal nail salon. It's been mediocre, but today I sat for quite a while at a waterless foot massage without letting me know there was a wait. After waiting for about 15 minutes, a man sat down and out some kind of filter in the foot massage, then turned the water on. Water shot up my skirt and I was sitting there drenched. He apologized, but we proceeded even though I said I did get wet. Decent pedicure, then some women came in and one sat next to me and spilled red wine. She said sorry. Didn't realize it got on my purse until I picked up my purse and sat it down on my lap. As I am scrubbing my dress from the red wine, someone that works there asks me if I'm ready so I tell her what I'm trying to do. Once I get up I tell the cashier that the guy that gave me a pedicure got water up my dress and two ladies that worked there came over to check my butt to make sure it was wet... then she charged me full price and gave me a $5 coupon. This is a newer salon in Anna, and i've had the best experiences there. They consistently do an excellent job, and their customer service is great. I'm new to Anna/Melissa area and took a chance on Essential Nail Spa in Anna (Shop Local!). My nail tech was Kayla. She did a great job and my $37 pedicure was delightful--lengthy massage and sweet personality. My only disappointment was that she didn't work on my slightly ingrown nails that I had pointed out to her in the beginning. I should have called it to her attention before I left, but didn't fully notice until I got home. I think there was a little bit of a language issue. My daughters went to het their nails done for prom. Their nails look great my problem was when they left and how a problem was handled afterwards. My daughter, being a teenager, forgot to tip. I was going to send her back to do so,we got busy and didnt go that same day. Next day was a Sunday they were closed. So on Monday I happen check my bank statement and noticed they had added $10 to the charge. I was not at all happy. I called the owner he said this is not customary and bring receipt and they will fix this. I finally bring it in a week later due to my busy schedule. The female owner takes care of me. I explane to her the situation, mind you I use the words, I did authorize an extra $10 and this is stealing . Well that made her very angry and she just went off and she said we have hundreds of customers we dont need your $10. I just wanted her to admit that whoever ran the card added the 10. Her receipt was different from my daughters. She never would. This place is very rude when it comes to customer service. Y'all better check your receipts if you go here. Sad cause it's so close to my house I would have loved to continue to use them. read more
