First time coming to this location. I had a manicure and a remnants of what was supposed to be a pedicure. - Pedicure: The main issue came with the pedicure. I have calluses and the tech (I believe her name was *Mimi) did not remove any callus at all. I gently explained I get pedis really often and I can tell the callus scrape was too dull and the removal was the main reason I'm here. She said it was not dull and something about applying Vaseline.... I have No idea what she was talking about. I have gone to countless salons and have NEVER HAD AN ISSUE receiving the callus treatment I paid for. I asked her if I could leave, no massage no anything she did polish only. If callus removal was subpar I am sure the rest of the service would be a waste of time and oil to cover her lack of callus removal. I notified management as I left. I mentioned I did not want to get her in trouble and he responded "no one is in trouble, no one is babysat here" and proceeded to charge me what I am estimating is half price for the "pedicure" + full for the manicure. - Manicure: Initially the tech doing my manicure kept commenting on how I bite my nails, how's it a bad habit etc. After the 3rd time you commented, Thank you ma'am I didn't realize my lifelong issue would be magically fixed by your repeated comments. Paid because the manicure was done regardless. -Overall: I really despised this experience as a busy mom I never really get time to have a moment and this was a complete waste of time and energy. Believe it or not these or NOT gel but regular polish. Bi is experienced in massage therapy and did an amazing leg and foot massage which is important for me being a diabetic as I retain fluid in my limbs. There was a very kind doctor who was also a regular customer, and I repeatedly overheard staff specifically discussing the fact that she was a doctor and using that as a reason to upsell and charge her more. They would encourage more alcohol, extend her massage, add hot stones or other extras, and then increase her bill. From the conversations I personally overheard, it was clear they viewed the fact that she was a doctor...and therefore assumed she had money..as an opportunity to get more out of her. That completely changed the way I view this business. Offering an additional service with a clearly stated price is one thing. Privately discussing how much more you think you can get someone to spend because of their profession or perceived wealth, while assuming your customers cannot understand you, is something entirely different. After hearing these conversations myself, I no longer trust their billing or upselling practices. If you choose to go here, I would pay very close attention to exactly what you agree to and what you are ultimately charged.
