I've been coming to this salon since it opened and have always loved the quality of the work and the talent of the nail techs. I did step away about a year ago due to management, which was disappointing because I truly loved this place. I recently came back and I'm so glad I did. The difference under the new management is night and day. The atmosphere is welcoming and everything is clean, fresh and professional. The service exceeds any salon I've gone to. It's clear they truly care about their clients and their staff. I had Nina for my nails and Bo for my pedicure. I highly recommend both of these ladies. My experience at Milano Nail Shop was Horrendous! The service I requested was not given. The technician rushed trying to finish my nails because she had another client. My pedicure was incomplete..she did not paint all of my toes on my left foot....and my nails looked like I was coming in for a fill In. This was my first visit there..and I was very unhappy and dissatisfied! Booking was so easy just called & got an appointment for next day . This place is so well maintained & organized we had a great time. We both opted for Milano Deluxe package. We pampered ourselves. They offer free drinks, juices, wine tea/coffee. My husband opted for Mimosa for himself & Cosmo for me. Staff were checking on us for refills but we politely declined. This is the first time I got a pedicure from a male staff from the time I am getting my pedicure done (which is over 20 yrs) so use to female staff. Having said that I must say Tony was very professional I never felt awkward for a bit during my pedicure session. Tony knows his job very well he was very gentle while cutting my nails & cuticles took care of me with kid gloves always checking on me the whole time. Even if I moved slightly he was checking to know if it's hurting me or causing any discomfort . I am thoroughly impressed to be very honest no one checks on the customer while removing cuticles or removing any dead skin...especially if you have Asian staff it's not their fault it's the communication they can't talk or understand English very well.... Even though Tony was not able to understand English very well still I had no issues. My pedicure package came with 35 mins foot massage & 5 mins shoulder massage. Again no issues in that too very professional. My husband was also very impressed with Cathy she was extra gentle with him during his sessions. I got a chance to speak with her during our sessions she was super friendly. I also noticed that the staff was constantly cleaning after the customers left not only the chairs but the surrounding areas too & I also used their washroom it was super clean. The guy that runs the place (not sure if owner) is a pompous jerk. I had an appointment and they didn't begin service until 30 min after the start time. I have a 1 year old at home and I'm pregnant and so I felt like that was pretty rude considering I have to pee every 15 minutes. Then, after saying over the phone they would accept a Spa Finder giftcard (I was sent for Mother's Day via email) at the check out they wouldn't accept it. They were like don't you have another card. Like, I have $300 to spend on a gift card why should I have to pay with my own card. He treated me like I had no money and was a student but if I had nothing else then he'd accept it. He even pretended to go behind the front desk and "ask if they will accept it" when he talked to no one behind the desk. Just hid behind the plants and came back and told me no. I'm sad because I loved this place and have had good pedicures but management is why I won't be back. I was even about to see if they could take my sister's wedding party of 20 people before her wedding. They are missing out on my business and hopefully yours too. read more

This is my 3rd nail place that I've tried in McKinney and it has many redeeming qualities. The shop is very clean and nice. The front house staff is also quick to accommodate. I was a walk in but was seated quickly for a fill in. The gentlemen who did my nails was very nice. I was pleasantly surprised that they served cosmopolitans my fave drink. I ordered two while getting my nails done. Now to my nails. I would give them a 8/10. I asked for French tip with black outline and the outline is very crooked on my nails. Such a simple thing but ugh. My nail tech was nice so I didn't want to make a fuss. I'm sure if I would've paid more attention I would've been able to correct him during the process. Highly disappointed with my first visit here. The pedicure water never got hot enough and turned cold almost instantly. They set a 15-minute massage timer, but stop massaging well before the timer actually finishes, which completely defeats the purpose. The final application look is not pleasing at all--there is extra clear polish glopped all over my cuticles and skin. To top it off, the complimentary margarita tasted purely like cheap sweet & sour mix with a splash of 7Up. Terrible service for the price. read more

I have historically gone to Milano, however, the lady I originally saw had left. I tried a new lady when I was in recently. They looked fine when I left but now, not even two weeks later, my nails don't look great and are already popping off. Keep in mind, I do the gelx, which is more expensive in hopes to stay great quality for longer. The corners have started to break, or they've separately greatly from my nail, etc. The customer service here specifically is great though! they're all super nice, supply drinks and make sure you're served! But unfortunately, the price I pay for a high service I expect to also last longer than 1.5 weeks. read more

I've been to this location many times but this was by far my best experience!! Everyone is always so sweet but I haven't always been pleased with the outcome or will have issues with breaking soon after. But this time I had Jimmy and Nick and as an extreme perfectionist that would never sit there and nit pick everything, they had it covered!! They were both focused on every small detail and making sure my nails looked perfect and symmetrical from every angle. Positive- My pedicure was great! Very nice place and drink selection. A little pricey... Now I really don't review - nor do I like negative reviews... But the lady who gave me a manicure was very nice but she was aggressive and asking me a million personal questions and apparently wasn't paying attention when she had the drill on my nails and she dug in where your nail grows out of your skin and made a red dent in almost every nail on one hand. I had to put super strength nail hardener on them that night. I'm having to grow my nail off completely and keep them short so they don't break (I have naturally long fast growing nails). It's been almost 2 months and I've still got a couple weeks until my nail damage has grown completely off. I'm very drill shy now! No more questions/talking while my fingernails are under a drill! So I went to see my nail tech Tiffany she just started there. I love the atmosphere of Milano's it was my first time here. Gorgeous, clean as well. The store is beautiful. The customer service is really good. Staff was smiling. Tiffany is incredible, sweet and very talented. Jimmy did my pedicure and it was amazing!! He does a great massage. I'm pretty basic guy and wanted a mani pedi. It's steps away from the hotel I'm at. They sold me on the $100 deluxe mani / pedi package that you can save $20 on which brings it to $80. i didn't mind the price and I specifically asked of no massage and pay attention to skin and cuticles. No gel, nothing fancy, just make sure there's a clean nail bed and a buff and I'm happy. My two technicians were sweet and all smiles but their attention to my request was un heard or misunderstood. They left nails beds uncut, cuticles completely intact and missed the mark completely. I was a bit concerned when they massaged my neck and arms instead of putting that time into my nails. I had paraffin wax, hot stones and the works but NO attention to the nails. I told them to please look over and they just put oil over it. Buff was probably 3 strokes max on each nail. Walked out an hour later disappointed knowing they just put oil, water and lotion on a sub par clean up to mask the nail beds. Sure enough after showering the oils off, I saw all the white cuticle, dead skin and missed spots EVERYWHERE. Toes and hands. I HATE complaining but decided to walk back over today for a touch up. Manager had the same ladies come back out to finish the job. They ended up using the same techniques as before, using the little grinder machine on my nail and did some cleaning up. After about 20 mins my mani tech grinded the top of my nail with the first bit and put top coat over it and said "done." Not smooth at all. Gritty and shiny and skin everywhere. Wait what?? I'm no nail tech but I know you have to put the cuticle gel ON the cuticle and push it back with the tool, then cut it off with the cutters. Sometimes you have to do it 2 times. This was missed 2 times in a row. They just used the machine I tipped them for their time and left unsatisfied again. Ended up going to the nail place a few mins down the road. It was cheaper, they understood my concern and fixed the issue and it was great service. I felt heard there. Although this place has a nice aesthetic, sweet people, the service for me was unacceptable. Won't be going back. read more

Would not recommend at all. "Jack the Manager" seems to create policies on the fly. They overcharge and, in my experience, do not live up to the positive reviews others have shared. I gave them three separate chances to get it right, and they failed each time. What ultimately pushed me to write this review was a reminder I had set for myself--because I'll never forget the moment Jack actually snatched my phone out of my hand to look at a picture of a receipt. This was after he tried to charge me again for a service I had already paid for of which he agreed twice to complete, which they still hadn't completed correctly. Completely unprofessional. Worst experience I've ever had getting my nails done!! I asked for a pink almond acrylic, when the nail tech started the application it was messy and runny, it was all over my fingers, i repeatedly told her the acrylic was burning my finger and she did nothing. After about 20 min of me telling her to stop she finally decided to listen and I had to asked someone to remove the unfinished set. The guy in the front tried to say I would have to pay 25$ for getting the unfinished and painful set removed. No one listen when I told them it was hurting me in-till I got loud about it.
