Visited Essential Nails & Spa for the first time. I needed a full set of acrylics and had a picture of what I wanted them to look like. A gentleman helped me choose the appropriate color to achieve the look and then Jennifer did my nails. Since it was my first time with her, she wanted to make sure she got the shape and color perfect. I've been going to essential nails for about a year now and it's just a hit or miss on the results of my nails. This last time was probably the most disappointing. It took about an hour and a half to do my gel manicure and that wasn't included having to remove an old set. I am one to speak up on how I want my nails to look but by the end of my appointment I was just over the whole experience. I told my nail stylist that I wanted square rounded but gave me square nails with pointed sides and when I critiqued it the stylist just cut my nails shorter. There was nail polish on the side of my nails on the skin the stylist kept wiping the sides with a brush with alcohol to clean it but then wiped the sides of my nails. I critiqued some of the bad nails for the stylist to fix and repaint the side of the nails again but only did three of them. The coats the stylist were putting on were so thin, which I know they are suppose to be, but to the point where there are 6 layers of color on my nails and you can see in the image he kept skipping my pinky as it's fiery red instead of the maroon color I chose. I'm embarrassed of my nails as my co workers keep bringing up how must of forgotten to paint my pinky nail and are shocked when I say I had them professionally done. I got my nails done this time for my graduate degree walking ceremony to treat myself for a big event in my life and not too thrilled with the results. read more

I'd never been here before but I live close & always drive by- so when I just needed a toe polish change it was a good time to check it out. I walked in and they got me in immediately. Jenny and her husband (I think) - the new owners - were super friendly and genuine, not fakey like some people. And my polish was perfection. The music was calming and a large selection of colors. This was my 1st visit and I can not say enough good things about Miracle One Nails. This place is truly a hidden gem. I went for a manicure and pedicure on Saturday afternoon. I got the deluxe pedicure and let me tell you it was amazing. Jenny and Rick are very friendly and explained the difference between a standard pedicure and the deluxe pedicure. The hot towel wrap and calf massage are wonderful and worth it. I've never done powdered nail polish before and again Jenny and Rick explained the process and the difference between powdered and gel polish. I opted for the powder. I couldn't be more happy. The pictures I've posted really do not do it justice. The color, sparkle and shine are just amazing. Jenny and Rick make you feel important and welcome. The price is right for the service recieved. They also offer tanning. When leaving I felt like I had made 2 new friends. If you need some pampering I highly recommend Magic One Nails. read more

What an amazing experience!! I came here with my sister on a Saturday. Everyone was very kind and welcoming when we came in. We were able to walk in without an appointment even!! Rick was able to do my pedicure, and it was by far the best pedicure I've ever had!! Such time, thoroughness, and care was taken throughout the entire pedicure. My mom, boyfriend and I came in for mani/pedis today. We all loved it!! The team was friendly, careful, gentle, and had great attention to detail. This was definitely one of the best pedicures each of us have ever had. Safety protocol was in place due to COVID and we felt very safe. Do NOT go to Ann (I hope that's her name)!!! I went tonight, had a 4:15pm appt and didn't leave until 6:10 or so. Numerous cuts from the cuticle trimmer and dremel, gouged my powder with the dremel then tried to fix it even tho it clearly wasn't working out. Cut me along my cuticle with the brand new cubed file. I still left with nails that aren't shiny despite numerous top coats and on top of it, some nails are so thick it's gross! I never was told to wash my hands at all once she started so I'm wondering if that contributed to my lackluster finish. This particular salon makes you take off your own previous powder; today I sat with my nails in polish remover and a bowl with a paper towel for 30 MINUTES. My nails are already brittle. And she had the audacity to charge me. If I didn't feel bad for the time she spent, I would've spoken up. I fully anticipated her saying no charge. NOPE! $50, numerous cuts and a less than stellar finish that took me 2 hours.. I've had dipping powder AND a pedicure for the same amount of time at another salon! Never ever going back. I went to the gal who was pregnant my previous appt (a few weeks ago) and I LOVED her! She's so friendly/chatty and I felt did an awesome job. Ann should not take dipping powder clients and the fact she had the gall to charge me full price despite the litany of issues... Nope. UNprofessional and beyond disappointed. She must think the salon has enough business and didn't need to go the extra mile to keep me as a client and just simply threw me an insincere "sorrrryy" while not even looking at me. May have to call and complain tomorrow because I'm pretty upset. read more

I love going to Jenny at Magic 1 Nails. I have had manicures and pedicures from Jenny for about 2 years and she is now the owner of this salon. Jenny is conscientious, honest, very welcoming and listens to your requests. She always makes the customer feel like they are #1. I know it's important to Jenny that all of her nail technicians treat their clients the same way and with that customer service, there won't be enough hours to get everyone in the door. So much for client satisfaction. I have been going here for years. Had toe nails done last Thursday. Gel polish faded and discolored the next day. Went back today to tell them and gal at desk said it is mood changing color. I NEVER asked nor was TOLD anything about a polish that changes color. I wanted a nice solid Pink. I wanted them redone correctly. They wanted $17 to redo them and it was their mistake. In my business, we make sure our clients are satisfied. I am NEVER going back. read more

My wife and I were in Rochester to be seen at mayo clinic. We had a morning to burn and wanted to get pedicures done and this was the closest to our hotel. The entire experience was the most bizarre of any nail salon in Rochester. I went to get a gel manicure with a friend-- expecting to sit next to each other. However, it was a game of musical chairs! We had to continually move chairs throughout the manicure. Our technician got up and left before applying color. Another technician later said that employee had to leave early, but was very weird that she just disappeared. the girl who ended up applying color was in a hurry and it showed. The sides of my nails did not have polish. She did not get the color close to my cuticles, so it quickly grew out. Towards the end of the appointment, the owner was forced to call security on a client as the customer was verbally aggressive and stole polish. The technician was not professional throughout this encounter. I will not be returning. My GEL manicure did not even last a week before chipping. Poor, very poor job. read more
