My wife asked me if I wanted a float this morning and I immediately started wondering how root beer was going to help. I needed to ease the back pain I'd been dealing with for a few days that escalated to a critical pain no matter what position I was in this morning. My wife quickly educated me about what she actually meant by float and directed me to Essential Wellness Centers Yelp page and website. It looked and sounded amazing. Sitting down wasn't helping, standing up wasn't helping laying... you get the idea. I had to try it. I had to see if floating could give me some relief from this ache, if for only an hour it was still at least an hour without. I came in and met Jeanie. Maybe it's Genie I didn't ask but would not be surprised. She explained their services, chatted with me about their effects that could help with my wellness and granted my first wish, she got me scheduled for a float immediately. The float was indescribable and is highly recommended. If you have never had a float in futuristic isolation chamber on a blob of liquid salt...honey you haven't lived. If you have at another establishment that isn't Essential wellness...Honey you're over paying. I thought it was going to be boring and that I would just have to grin and bear it for my back. I was so wrong. with the music and lights off and the bath closed it was just me and the float. All of the world was drowned out as I floated it just became me and my inner monologue. And I got to tell it to shut up. I had some breathing and counting to do and that was all I needed to focus on thank you very much. And you know what, it worked. I felt present and silent. My relaxed breathing set the rhythm and I could feel my body just making shifts on the inside. The zero gravity and the silence let me focus on the remedial task of counting while my body turned on autocorrect. When the lights came on to remind me that time was coming to an end, I couldn't tell you if I had been in there for 60 minutes or 60 years. I felt more relaxed than I had anticipated and my mind felt euphoric. It still does as of this writing hours later. But I wasn't done yet. The front desk wizard that is Jeanie had granted me a second wish. She was able to squeeze me in with a massage from Jana. Jana was awesome. Words cannot describe the amount of care, professionalism and healing Jana gives to you as a client. Jana was just the right amount of everything. She applied the perfect amount of pressure to my achey body. She was kind and funny. She was smart and knowledgeable about her craft and the products offered by Essential Wellness. She didn't feel the need to fill the silence. This was the most organic experience I have ever experienced. And she makes really beautiful quilts. My third wish. I didn't want this to be a one time event. I didn't want it to break the bank and be a once a year thing. Yes it is a treat and no it is not something I could see myself doing everyday. Yes I want a float bath at my house and I would do it everyday but that's not the point. Essential wellness is affordable enough that making it an every now and then kind of thing wouldn't be out of the question. And with a membership it affords even deeper savings. I know this was a long review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. I only wrote it because I truly believe in Essential Wellness. So much so that I rushed my wife out of the door to go and try it for herself. Her review will probably be just as rave but hopefully shorter. Go and check this place out. I just keep coming back for more and more. Request Jana as she is amazing and has magical hands and fingers. My lower back pain and pain from plantar fasciitis has significantly reduced and can walk with little or no pain after 3 to 4 visits so far. I love this place!! I was introduced to it by my therapist, Jana, whom by the way is the best therapist I've ever known. Sure I may be biased, but I've been treated by Jana for the last 7 years and I have no reason to seek treatment elsewhere!! I've gone through a couple of job changes, one where I sat at a desk for over 8 hours a day and now to where I stand for over 8 hours a day and Jana is always able to find my trouble spots before I even knew they were trouble! She truly is passionate about her therapy and skills and she proves it by continuing education to learn new skills or to even gain more knowledge about specific parts of the body. I'm excited that Jana is with Essential Wellness Center because I like the additional services that they have to offer as well! I'm very excited to try the flotation therapy! read more

I experienced my first float today. The facilities are clean, quiet and convenient with showers in private float rooms. Staff and pricing are excellent. The experience was very good, with a very deep relaxation result. For me, improvements could be made by adding grab bars and having more sturdy seating for dressing in the treatment room. read more

I went in for a massage and float as a special from work. The massage was great, the float was boring and after 10 minutes I was way done with this. And now after a week to a month, I have a serious rash that my dermatologist states that this rash is from the dirty water in the float, I will NEVER return to this establishment ever. This was the worst massage experience I have ever had. The massage therapist was so offensive the whole time. He called me Taco Bell because I am Hispanic that does not speak Spanish. He told me for a Hispanic I was a Ferrari, but for an asian I'm a Toyota because they look so much younger. When I told him I love to go to the gym, he said I didn't look like I worked out at all. He was obsessed with my dating life and the fact that I was single, even after telling him over and over, I'm not concerned with a relationship. Imagine those kind of comments through out a 90 min massage. Even when I stopped responding, he kept on with the offensive comments. Many of which were racial. I have had many massages but this one was disturbing. He also pulled my panties down WAY lower than necessary and got EXTREMELY close to my private parts. I expected to walk out of this massage relaxed and calm. Instead, I was angry and disturbed. I will never return to this establishment again. read more

I've been coming to Essential Wellness for several months. Jana is my massage therapist. She is the best! I've been dealing with chronic hip pain for some time. She has listened to my symptoms and has designed a massage for what I need. She has helped more than weeks of physical therapy. Jana is a true professional, she asks about how I'm feeling during the massage, would I like more or less pressure and always seems to find those spots I'm not aware of that need to be relaxed. Always leave feeling so much better than when I arrived. I would highly recommend her for a therapeutic massage or just to pamper yourself. read more

I injured my back pretty badly 3 days ago and everyone kept telling me to go to the chiropractor. Psssshhh!! They never do any for me BUT I thought perhaps a massage might be a better alternative. I was right!!! I found this gem from the rave reviews on here and decided to go for it. I LOVE the fact that I can book online right from the confines of my bed. I chose the 90 minute with Deborah and couldn't have been happier. I also opted for the CBD treatment AND cupping(something I Have never tried but so glad she recommended it). What an amazing experience I have had at this location. Great staff. Simple steps and the most zen I have ever felt after floating. The shower has a rainfall head and is suspended like 12 feet in the air. Amazing my favorite part. Right when you step in the float pod your mind instantly shuts off and no worries. I have felt like I'm flying or weightless in space when I focus and let all tension go. Very great meditation and quiet pampering time. Recommend to anyone ! My wife and I we're vacationing here from Georgia. I had the float Therapy & Massage combo and she had a two hour massage. Mackenzie and Deborah where our masseuses. My wife said that Deborah gave her the best massage in her life. McKenzie did a great job too. it's been awhile since we had had a massage so we felt outstanding afterwards. They really worked out all of the tension and stiffness in our muscles. The float therapy was awesome. It was my first time doing it. I turned off the interior lights and music and floated for 60 minutes. It's a great experience you feel completely weightless it's dark and you're able to sleep and just relax. About a month ago I booked one massage and two floats. This was supposed to be a family gift and a relaxing start to our family holidays. Upon arriving, they only had two floats booked and not the massage. The young lady at the front desk was new and inexperienced at running the business. The floats were started and I was told that I would be getting my hour massage. I ended up getting only a half an hour massage but when leaving they tried to charge me for an hour massage. I continue to tell the young lady at the front desk that I only received a 30 minute massage and I would not pay for an hour massage . I finally talked to the owner and she was very apologetic and did not charge me for my 30 minute massage. I was told they did find my original booking of my massage but the massage therapist left and no longer work there and they never rescheduled me with somebody else. This is supposed to be a relaxing spa, and this was the least relaxing experience to start our holidays! read more

After listening to a show on http://www.coasttocoastam.com/ I've always wanted to go to a spa that offered a sensory deprivation tank. There are so many benefits of float therapy...too many to mention here! When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by the owner Denise, who was super accommodating. She explained everything in great detail and took me to a room where i watched a short 10min video which explained how to get the most out of your experience. After the video was over i was taken to a private room with the float tank and a shower stall. Everyone is required to take a quick shower before getting into the float tank. The rooms and the tank were very clean. I floated for 60minutes. After about 30minutes of getting used to the setting i could finally relax. I have to say it was the most relaxed euphoric experience i've ever had! I could of laid in that tank for an entire day and it would of felt like only 20min went by. After my session, my back plain was completely gone...and i was very relaxed the following 3 days. I will definitely be going back! read more
