After one terrible experience at a medical supply store in West Hartford and one not so great one in Torrington, Medicare sent me here. Now, usually I would have been extremely upset... Medicare sent me here, and they cannot even take my insurance for a wheelchair, due to new insurance regulations. This gentleman was the kindest and most helpful person I have met in a long time! He knew all the information that no other medical supplier knew (or at least shared with me!). He printed up all the information that I needed for the medical suppliers that I needed to contact. He also made a suggestion for the exact one that I should go to! I wish there was more people like him in this world! Helpful, kind and super friendly!! I would recommend Better Health LLC to anyone who is looking for a medical supply store!! One suggestion for consumers, call first if you have Medicare. Under the new Obamacare, some laws have changed and they only can cover certain items. That's the downside, but i called Medicare and THEY sent me there! Honestly, a blessing in disguise. They sent a computer repairer to troubleshoot the x-ray machine, magically the lights came on. Almost two weeks later I go to make the first exposure and of course its not working. Technical engineer says they will not refund and if it takes forever I should sit and wait for them to fix the machine. I politely call to report this recent problem and I am told to expect a call back in 20 minutes. It's been four hours and counting. This is the worst business transaction I have ever done. I came to see Dr Felice to fix my breasts that were bottomed out on both sides (425cc under muscle)…read moreand fix asymmetry from a previous surgery. It was very clear that I needed two different sized implants. He told me with complete confidence that he could correct it lifting the implants up and giving me an actual crease and due to one of the implants not being correctly inside of a pocket laterally as well as bottomed out I would not need two different size implants. I had surgery on 2/12/21 with 535 high profile xtra implants. After surgery I could immediately tell my nipples were up to high still and even with xtra high implants I still have absolutely zero fullness in the top pole and my right breast is still extremely noticeably larger and drops lower. At my post op he instructed me to not wear a bra at all and to wear a band underneath the implants to keep them off of the incision.. it is now 6 weeks post op and both breasts are still completely bottomed out my right breast is still experiencing the same pain and discomfort from prior the operation and 90% of the implants are below my nipples. It's very clear the repair he did with dissolving sutures wasn't done correctly and is not the proper solution. I've seen several other surgeons for opinions on how to fix this and when I suggested different ways to go about revising this at a second follow up (mesh, permanent sutures, different incision site, internal bra, switching to over muscle) the doctor claimed none of that would work and essentially this is the best result I could get. The only difference is the implant is larger none of my issues were resolved. I now have to wait to have a third surgery and have yet to have a positive experience with breast implants, I feel like a prisoner in my body. I want a full refund this was a complete disappointment and waste of time.

She promised to e-mail the detailed receipt I needed for insurance reimbursement the next day. After almost three weeks of phone calls and emails, and after mailing a self-addressed, stamped return envelope so that Elizabeth could effortlessly send the receipt to me, I STILL had to go to her studio (about an hour's drive away) to pick it up so that I could send it to my insurance company. All this in the middle of my chemotherapy and radiation treatment. I dunno--was she slacking off because I had opted to take the display wig home with me rather than wait for a new one to be ordered? She had her money in hand and knew I would not be returning for a fitting, styling, or care instructions, so maybe felt no pressure to follow up as promised? When I went to her studio to pick up the receipt, I did not appreciate Elizabeth trying to deflect the blame from herself to me by continually repeating "You're angry" while I was waiting for her to print the receipt for me. She acted as if this was an excuse for not following through on her promise to get the receipt to me; I would like to address that. Yes, Elizabeth, I was angry. You would been angry, too, if you'd had to repeatedly call, e-mail, and finally drive 2 hours round-trip in order to pick up a piece of paper that could easily have been sent by mail. The fact is, your e-mails had no attachments (no, it was not a problem with my computer; attachments regularly come through to me) and yes, you did receive my SASE--it was sent to your listed shop address and nothing was returned as "Undeliverable" through the Post Office.) The bottom line is that it was your responsibility to make sure I got the receipt as promised. My anger was valid and non-threatening, as anyone can see in the video my daughter took of the encounter when it started to become slightly unhinged when you repeated, over and over, "You're angry." Doing so did nothing but make you look like you were gaslighting me, when you should have just printed the receipt and handed it over without arguing about it. After all, isn't that WJWD?

Well, that was the 1st I have heard that I had cataracts, and I told her there was no way in the world she was going to operate on my eyes. She said that she may not allow me to drive. Now, I can decide if I'm safe to drive or not. I asked her if she was legally required to report it to the DMV and she said no, but sometimes she does - well, first, that's illegal. That is against HIPPA. Second, I am NOT going to let anyone bully me into something I am not comfortable with - especially with SOMEONE I'm not comfortable with. For that, alone, I will never go back to them. Also, though, the visit before that, I think I got the wrong script for my glasses because the glasses I had were not good, and she said my eyes got better - I know for a fact that was not true. I still haven't gotten my new prescription...
