I came here for a 50 min massage & I only qanted that tine spent on my back. When i was escorted into the room i immediately noticed the sheets were dirty & it looks like someone just got off the massage table & they didnt replace the sheets & I had to ask for clean sheets. The star doesn't reflect the kindness of the staff, just the service I received. About 18 hours after approximately $80 worth of services, my manicure started to peel my skin off. I was also nicked on the ring finger. The advice I was given was to "put Neosporin on it". I was graciously offered another paint job (which I didn't need), but never offered my money back which would have been the right thing to do for the amount I paid. Edited after owners response: I wasn't looking for something for nothing, but it remains, you should have immediately offered my money back after seeing the pictures I sent you. That's what any establishment that hurts someone should do. They should also check in on someone who was cut bc instead of a bad review, you could face a lawsuit for infection next time. read more

As COVID19 bands are slightly lifted one of the 1st places I decided to visit was here. I reviewed quite a few local places while visiting just to confirm the guidlines and care for me to feel safe would be met. I called mid morning on a Wednesday and was able to get a evening same day appointment. Rules: The rules were to come; wear a mask; the entire staff wore a mask as well; call once you arrive; paperwork is brought out to you; once completed your massage therapist would come to get you. I really loved that. I felt safe and comfortable with the extra safety steps. Inside: Once inside I was greeted by wonderful staff Nicole and Noah and a few others who all were honestly so welcoming. I was taken back to start my 50 mintue session with "Daniel". My Friend had the same positive experience with here massage therapist "Jason". The rooms was very nice and relaxing. Sanitizer was provided but more so you could tell the room was thoroughly sanitized for my usage which was great. Safety here felt like priority. The experience and service was beyond good. Both were gentle, very professional, and nice. The packages here to chose from are definitely affordable and offer a bit of different services to choose from. Additional Services: As I looked around a bit one of the employees Noah offered to show me around a bit so I could see some of the items offered. The place is well kept. Quite a few options it's hair options here, waxing, facials, massage, nails, and so much more. Thank you to the staff here at Essentials for allowing me just a little bit of normalcy back without having to fear my safety wasn't priority. (Update on facial: it seems that the esthetician over exfoliated and my face burns with even the most gentle products... Ouch) My husband and I visit Essentials often. It's really easy to call and set up an appointment. Their pricing is set just right too! Massages: We've had great experiences with different masseuse. I had one incident where the lady was pretty rude, but other than that one time no other issues. Mani/pedi: No complaints. We both enjoyed our nail tech and really were relaxed. Facials: Facials are also good. One of the estheticians didn't fully explain what she was putting on my face in the beginning (I'm assuming the basic steps) but then mid-way did a great job explaining things. Overall, I do enjoy coming here and will continue to use their service. I had a 4:00 appointment and arrived a little early. At 4:05 I was told my nail tech was running 10 min. late. At 4:20 she called for me and had me pick my nail color. She proceeded to roughly and quickly scrape my nail and trim my cuticles. Then she asked me how I wanted my nails shaped. I said squared. She cut and shaped them. But they were unevenly cut and poorly shaped. I let her know and she quickly attempted to fix them, to no avail. Then she said it's just the way my nails grow. I pointed to one of my nails that she had completely cut wrong and said it was cut wrongly by her. She then said, "You know what, I'm not doing this with you today. You can go to the lobby and wait for the other nail tech." I got up went to the gentleman at the desk and told him what had just transpired. I asked for her name because she never properly greeted me or gave me her name. He said it was Destiny. I am very disappointed with the treatment I received after patiently waiting for twenty minutes for Destiny. I hope whatever her issue was gets resolved. read more

Looking for a great massage at a great price?! Then this definitely isn't the place for you! We've given this place more chances then I'm proud of... but after 4 tries I guess I've learned my lesson. $70 for a 35 minute massage is not only outrageous, but probably unconscionable. Each time we've gone to this location we've been blown away. Not by the quality of the massage but by the expedience! This last time we got stuck in traffic and I called ahead to let the receptionist know we'd be about 10 minutes late. He let me know that it was okay and we could Be up to 20 Minutes late before they would have to cancel the massage. Wow thank you for the flexibility! So we show up for our couples massage 10 Minutes late. They let us in the room at 7:14 and we promptly get on the tables and they come back in the room at 7:15. We asked for a deep tissue massage. After 35 minutes of lightly caressing our backs and petting us like dogs, they turn on the lights and tell us they'll Be outside with water for us. We both thought wow that was fast! I took a picture of the clock in the room which was set an hour ahead for some reason. The hour long massage was completed in 35 minutes! I took a photo of the clock because I couldn't believe how fast it was over. Note the time the photo was taken at the top! I asked the receptionist what the deal was and why we only got 35 minutes. He then informed us that because we were late they could not go the full length of time. Wouldn't that have been appropriate to tell us before? I would have canceled and rescheduled. Unfortunately this isn't the first time we've been shocked by how short an hour massage at Essentials is. Every time we've been here we've been in and out in less than 50 minutes. This place is a ripoff and deceptive. I would not recommend this to anyone. read more

I started going here in April and it has become my go to place every month. The staff is excellent from the ladies at the front desk and the different massage therapist I've used. They are all so welcoming and ready to listen and help in anyway. I've had the relaxation massage and the deep tissue massage done before. That deep tissue massage works wonders with my back especially since I've had a previous back injury. You can listen to your own music during your massage or they place very therapeutic soft music that will just put you to sleep. If you have never been here make sure to come and try them out. However, I rated my overall experience very lowly because of the unethical sale technique I experienced. I made an appointment via telephone for a Relaxation Massage. I was guided into the massage room, where the masseuse (John Doe) asked me what I desired. I repeated what I told the receptionist via the phone call: "a Relaxation Massage, please." He then asked if there were any areas I would like him to focus on, to which I responded, "yes, my neck and shoulders." He then began speaking about a deep massage. I replied I did not want a deep massage, because they usually hurt. He then began to speak about how a deep massage does not have to be intense, and that it just depends on the masseuse and level of pressure applied. The conversation ended there, and the massage began. Upon completion, I walked to the front receptionist area to pay, but the total came to more than a Relaxation Massage. The receptionist stated I was being charged for a "Deep Tissue." I explained that that was not what I ordered. I asked to speak with John Doe. The manager/higher-level employee said she would go and "confirm" with John Doe. Upon returning from speaking with him she "confirmed" that he had given me a "Therapeutic Massage." I explained that I did not ask for that, and I specifically requested a "Relaxation." She responded, "Well, that's just a fluff massage anyway. It doesn't really do anything." I paid the price they asked for, but being tricked into an upgrade definitely left me feeling that I had been taken advantage of. I will not be returning. I regularly get massages, and yes, I am always asked by the masseuse about "special areas of focus." However, when I tell them the specific areas I'd like them to focus on, it has NEVER been interpreted to mean "upgrade to a Deep Tissue massage." I've been coming here for several years and I've always loved this place, but yesterday was the worst experience. I brought my 2 year old in for his haircut. He was very scared and he cried. I'm a new Mom and I didn't know what to do, no one helped. Halfway through his hair cut with his hair half shaved we were asked to leave to protect the experience of the other customers. I've never been more humiliated. I was made to feel like there was something wrong with my child and that I was a bad parent for bringing him here. I was forced to take my son home and shave his head bald because that's all I know how to do. His haircut was supposed to be for his part in an upcoming family wedding. Even though they offer services for children, this facility in incapable and untolerable of small children. They really shouldn't offer services to children at all. Had my first Essentials experience recently, and it was mostly very positive. The facility is very lovely, and the staff were all extremely pleasant and accommodating. I had a 50-minute relaxation massage and the therapist was very good. My complaint is that I was FREEZING the entire time -- the massage room was very cold, even with the heated table. When they uncovered any part of my body I had goosebumps. I told the therapist how cold I was, but she didn't intervene in any way to fix the issue -- just assured me I would warm up soon, which I did not. Facial: 1/5 I had my facial appointment with Candi and she was a wonderful lady, however, when it came to the facial, I knew almost instantly that I either have someone who is new or someone who definitely needed more training. She was a nice and kind lady but her service was definitely not up to par with the other spa facials or microdermabrasions that I've had. Why, you may ask? As the specialist, as you are steaming someone's face, while you wait for it to finish, the spa specialist either gives you a hand massage or a scalp massage but all she did was sit and wait so you can imagine the awkwardness that happened in between. You can just tell when someone knows what they're doing and when someone is doing the bare minimum. This was a bare minimum visit. Massage: 4/5 As for my two hour massage with Kevin, he was wonderful and spent every minute of the two hours with me if not more. He used different techniques and said they were Hawaii massage techniques which is why that massage was definitely different. I'm an athlete and work out junkie so he started out with a few stretches for me to do and mind you, they were very different and some uncomfortable but when I left, my body felt so good. He spent the extra time focusing on the areas that I wanted him to and he was just incredible. I definitely enjoyed it and he used just the right pressure. Horrible Scheduling and Horrible customer service, be prepared to have your appointment cancelled or rescheduled. So, my family and I just moved to this area of Florida from California. To make a long story short. 1. Set up appointment with my daughter the 1st time. Get there on time, wait between 30-45 minutes before even being seen.. Okay, no problem, this does happen. 2. Setup another appointment for a month down the road after my daughters hair has been done... later they call us and have to reschedule because Emily won't be there.. Okay, cool... this also happens. No biggie. 3. Appointment set for today September 6th for 3 pm for my daughter. We show up about 2:40pm just to be early. The girl at the front desk says the appointment has been cancelled because Emily's customer is going to be a lot longer than they anticipated. I am just finding this out at Essentials Spa at the desk.. MIND YOU: THEY HAVE A CANCELLATION FEE IF YOU DON'T CANCEL 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE!!! But, it's okay to do to us as the customer. I have a feeling the customer she had in her seat added something to her original appointment and that is why the anticipated time was going to be drastically different. Instead of having us wait or come back when that customer was done, they asked us to come back at 8 pm tonight. I said okay... then... 4. I get home and call because it just didn't sit right with me. A manager/owner was suppose to call me.... never did... They could have cared less that this happened. After all a cut is a lot less money than a perm/coloring. So, my daughter's appointment was cancelled and I only found out when I arrived and checked in. Yet, if I called to cancel under the 24 hours I would have been charged a fee. The fact is when I called and said I was upset about this, they really had 0 customer service and really didn't seem to care. The person on the phone (I forgot his name) said he was going to call the manager and owner and they would give me a call back, which never happend. I was nice and tactful about the whole thing since I own a business myself and I understand what it is like to get a customer who isn't so nice. 5. My husband came home from work and I told him what happened, so he decided to call and touch base with them to see when a manager/owner was going to call me back. It turns out the guy who answered the phone never told the manager/owner that I called. He also again didn't seem like he cared about what happened. 6. So, in conclusion, they lost a customer for life. My daughter needs hair cuts every month since she has a short hair style. We were trying to find a place that she liked. Went for a couples massage today, little did we know it was just going to be a light hand rub down. Every time I get a massage they ask what type of pressure I prefer. To start this massage we were immediately told that if we wanted any type of additional or extra pressure there would be an up charge, which was very different for me. It wasn't customer friendly whatsoever! It just wasn't what we were expecting. Did not feel any more satisfied or relaxed afterwards. It also was not a full hour.
