Truly a spa experience with the Zen room, meditation room, drinks & snacks, steam room, sauna, showers with all needed toiletries, etc. All of that was lovely. I'm only giving 4 stars because my actual massage was OK. Others would probably love it, but I need more intense pressure & work on specific areas. Very nice place and relaxing. I enjoyed the steam room before my massage and then went to the lounge and had some lemon water. Only thing that struck me odd was a plastic container (see similar picture) of small biscotti bought from somewhere like a food warehouse. Would have been nice if they were spread out in a glass dish instead of a store bought container that was difficult to get biscotti out. The massage is good! I had Vanity, she listened to my every complaint and it was very relaxing. She has very strong hands which is perfect for me. I recommended her to my daughter for next time. However, another problem that arose after my massage was in the locker room. They have a little container there for cold towels I guess and before and after massage there was none so I just dismissed that. But, the steam room was not operating and I couldn't get it operating and when I mentioned to the front desk folks they didn't seem to care. And actually for what we pay for the massage I should've been able to use it. read more

I have been going here for years but am not sure I will return after my last experience. I booked a deep tissue massage and I got a relaxing massage but it was absolutely not deep tissue. I asked twice during the massage for more pressure and I was told she was building to that but it did not happen. When I went to pay they asked me about my experience and I was honest so they said to let them talk to the manager and masseuse which they did and they came back and said they would only charge me for the relaxaction massage which is not much different in price. I would have never gone there for that service so ultimately I feel like it was a waste of money and my time. Also the steam room was not working which added to my unhappiness with the experience. They said there were electrical problems. read more

Have been going to Essentials Medispa and salon for many years. The massages that I've received have been excellent. Alconia is my favorite massage therapist!! The Zen Room is so quiet and relaxing. It also provides drinks and snacks. Spas are relaxing and showers are clean with towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner provided. Bathroom provides a hair dryer if needed. read more

My husband and I both had masssages and experienced the same feelings . The zen room before our service was so relaxing we wished we arrived earlier as we truly enjoyed the ambiance. We both enjoyed our massages but interesting enough we both shared the service was okay . Mine wasn't fluid. Example : only stretched my left leg not my right, stopped between body parts( in the past the therapist keeps one hand on the body not to release touch). My husband commented the therapist worked on his back 90% of the time ( it felt good but he thought it should have been a full body massage as his was 1hr 20 min). I had a great before and after massage experience but the actual massage was just OK. The tech was very nice but wanted to chat through the whole experience. That may work for some people, but for me, that is not relaxing or what I'm there for. I just wanted to feel the loosening of my muscle and the stress leaving my body while that zen music played in the background. Talking to a complete stranger (while barely dressed) for a hour? No thanks. Especially since talking to strangers is what I do daily and helps to get my muscles all tense! They should really ask if you wanna chat before they start. read more

I did a signature 80 min facial here and my esthetician was Lauren. The service was about $125 and it includes access to the spa facilities. I was so relaxed during the service. I have been there before and loved Sara. This time she wasn't available so went with Chris for deep tissue. I know it isn't comfortable but taking a leg that is getting a hip replacement and turning it when I said it hurts, is not a good idea. Also I said the hot rocks he used were burning. I am now hurting to even walk. I won't even get into my experience booking and then being charged extra. Very upset with my results adding more pain. read more

So, I drove to the location (Viera) and went inside to make an appointment to get a massage (for three people). There was a man & two women behind the counter who were casually talking with each other. As I continued to stand in front of them, they finally stopped talking and the man asked if he could help me. I told him no one returned my call when I left a message to make an appointment, so I'm here now to make an appointment for 3 massages. The other people started to casually talk to each other again, while the other said they don't have any appointments (without even asking the day/time I wanted)! So, I left and found a better place that's nicer & more friendly. I was happy to give the other place my business, along with two other people's business! The front staff was eager to welcome me, and they were cheerful--but not overwhelming. I'm so happy that I made the change to 80 minutes! I got a signature facial with Denise and was astounded at the quality of the facility. I've gotten a pricey facial before but the value you get at Essentials is worth it and beyond my expectations. They say to get there 30 minutes early to enjoy the ammenities and they're right. They have showers, a sauna, a humid room with blue and red lights, a huge zen room with coffee and wine. Carol is an amazing colorist. At 66 years old, I decided 6 months ago to stop coloring my hair blonde and let nature take its course. When I saw a photo of myself at a recent event, I was very disappointed because I saw that my mousy brown hair, sprinkled with gray and white patches, aged me by at least 10 years. I rushed to make an appointment with Carol and begged her to bring back my blonde hair. She did an amazing job. I feel 20 years younger. She is the ultimate professional and works very hard to elevate your style.
