They say to get there 30 minutes early to enjoy the ammenities and they're right. They have showers, a sauna, a humid room with blue and red lights, a huge zen room with coffee and wine. Carol is an amazing colorist. At 66 years old, I decided 6 months ago to stop coloring my hair blonde and let nature take its course. When I saw a photo of myself at a recent event, I was very disappointed because I saw that my mousy brown hair, sprinkled with gray and white patches, aged me by at least 10 years. I rushed to make an appointment with Carol and begged her to bring back my blonde hair. She did an amazing job. I feel 20 years younger. I received a gift card for my birthday prior to "world" shut down, after trying to find time for my message I finally made an appointment with Dennis for a deep tissue massage and was not disappointed! As a first time visitor I was delighted with the entire experience (next time I will use more of the amenities). The staff was friendly and explained everything, the locker rooms were clean (although my bathroom stall was out of TP) I enjoyed relaxation room before my 80 minute message and Dennis was polite, welcoming and very professional and his deep tissue massage was excellent and perfect! However, I stumbled upon Jennifer and she does a fantastic job. I prefer almost a deep tissue, but not quite that intense. I spoke to the manager - who was somewhat sympathetic - but more so for her own suffering. Luxury spa with luxury prices - but without a luxury experience! I arrived for my mani/pedi. Requested pedi first and was promptly told no, it was not allowed and she "had" to do manicure first. I then spent 45 minutes twisted sideways in a pedicure chair because that is where did the manicure. I brought my own polish and specifically told technician I wanted a natural look and to use one base coat, one coat of color and a tip coat. Nope! She proceeded to use a matte base coat and two coats of polish followed by top coat. I was told this was to make color of my "neutral" color polish stand out. This was exactly what I told her I did not want! For pedicure they used a rolled up strip of paper towel to separate toes. Do not waste your money on this place. I used to hold a membership at Essentials Medi Spa until all memberships were cancelled during the pandemic. I have visited the spa about three times since 2021 each time I leave disappointed in how the staff changes has affected the customer service. On 3/17, I called around noon to confirm closing time for Sunday. I informed the staff that I would be going in to use the sauna & steam room only. I was told they would close the facility at 5pm, to which I replied thank you and I will be there and out by 5pm. I arrived at 3:40pm and was checked in. One of the showers was out of order. I preceded to use the middle shower. The drain was so clogged that water pooled around my feet, to avoid water running out I placed a towel on the floor by the door. I finished using the facility and was getting ready to go dry my hair to leave when I saw they flicker the lights (signaling they're closing), I looked at the clock and it was 4:15. I started getting dressed and was preparing to dry my hair when Britney (janitorial assistant) informed me that they were closing at 4:30 because their AC was not working. I was rushed out, a visit meant to relax me turned into a stressful & rushed situation that would have been prevented if I had been informed of their plans to close early. Additionally, the towels were so worn they should have been replaced (prior to the pandemic this was a classy place with top notch supplies). Hotels have better towels! I see this spa driving by all the time so we decided to book a couples massage with some extra additions for a much needed day of relaxation . We completed paperwork, arrived early and checked in. The staff was friendly that showed us around the facilities and our massage therapists were great and so nice! I'm giving it three stars because at the end of the massage , the extra additions were not provided and when I asked about it, they said they called me. There was absolutely not one call and I spoke to the spa twice that week. the front desk girl looked at me as if "ok what do you want me to do" I just paid a few hundred dollars to plan a day with my man to finally relax and have a day for us. I prepared and called ahead to confirm. The purpose of this business is the spa services provided. I understand mistakes are made and it happens. But when I mention it, you completely disregard it and literally say I don't know what to tell you. Good to know you will not take feedback and work to try to prevent it.
