We also experienced some differences between what was discussed with the contract/sales representative and what the project manager supported once the work began. Better alignment between those roles would help set clearer expectations for the customer and the crew. At the end of the project, there were more touch-ups than we anticipated, and a few of the detailed hand-painted areas could have used closer attention. That said, the team worked through the punch-list items, and we appreciated their efforts to address our concerns. Overall, there was a lot to appreciate -- an earlier-than-expected start, a hardworking and punctual crew, and good attention to job-site safety. We chose Arclight to stain our house in spring of 2025. Of the 4 painting firms from which we…read morereceived bids, theirs was not the cheapest, but was only slightly higher than the cheapest. The amount of thought and detail they put into the bid was impressive. All business transactions were done online and were easy to use. We encountered several challenges. The siding could not take the brand of penetrating stain we had selected because percentage of solids in the previous stain was too dense. They found a stain and seal product from a different company that would work. It took more than two days working with Rodda-Miller paints to create a color match to the old stain. While this was going on Arclight did a soft wash of the house and then masked the trim or staining of the siding. The soft wash did an excellent job of removing dirt and mold, while being much safer than a traditional pressure wash. They applied two coats and still finished with only a four hour overrun on the estimated time to complete. Each day, they worked with us to share access to the fenced yard with our dogs. Throughout the process, Arclight was very easy to work with. Communications were excellent. They sent an e-mail each evening describing work done that day and the plan for the next day. The quality of the finished staining job could not be better. We highly recommend Arclight's services to anyone planning to paint or stain their house.

In retrospect it was to save cash, the buckets of paint have another project name on them. Next, even after a change in scope from two colors down to a single color, the cost was not updated. In retrospect I shouldn't have written the check but even after follow up communication and questions there has been no change. In addition, he and his team replaced a quite a few fascia boards as ours had rotted. David overbought the boards and then left the unused boards in my backyard. Finally, He left early from the project, leaving his team who did not clean up the entire mess. There was also no final project walk through and so I have a couple spots left that were missed.
