I am seeing a ton of positive things said about this company and that's great, however my experience with Legacy Painting have not gone very well and after almost 2 months reflecting on this, I'm ready to share my thoughts. For starters we were looking to have our house painted. We had 3 estimates and based on professionalism and price, Legacy was the clear winner. 2 other positive things I'll say is the guy that wrote up the contract including repairs to the house and the gentleman who pressure washed the house were also good. This is where things get negative. The painters are Spanish and my wife and I are English and all communication was never very clear. There were days they waved goodbye and I replied "all done for the day" and they reply yes. But a few hours later they show up and go back to work. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but we have a dog that's not so stranger friendly and they opened the back gate why our dog was in the backyard. My wife tried letting the woman know "please don't come in" but she didn't understand, causing us to hastily get the dog back in the house. Other issues involving the contract to repair the house were ignored and just painted over what we paid for repairing. My wife tried reaching out to see why this had happened, but we really never got an answer. Parts of the house need another coat of paint, and as far as we know no one ever came to inspect completion and all pictures we take won't show the areas that needed extra work. The last thing I will say and what bothers me the most, we instructed days we would be out of town and didn't want anyone over for any reason. While on vacation are ring camera was going nuts and someone was walking around cleaning up. We had so many issues with Legacy my wife did try reaching out personally, but she never got a clear resolution. Talking to my wife about what we have as a finished product is very disappointing to her. She is the most reasonable person I know and is hoping to just get the paint used so we could just finish ourselves and move on. read more

After another painting contractor refused to honor the two-year warranty for their work, I spent most of last summer doing prepping and repainting myself except for areas I couldn't reach with my 20 ft ladder. Legacy painted all our doors and millwork (baseboards, door jams, etc.) and did a great job. We noticed a few places on the floor, after the masking was removed, where some paint got under the tape and onto the floor. We texted Mark, the owner, that night and he responded within five minutes. He had his team lead, Carlos, come out first thing the next morning to clean that up. Carlos even spotted something I hadn't and fixed it also. The job they did painting was great, and their responsiveness to the minor issue we had, allows me to easily recommend them. DO NOT USE. This company is awful to work with. The day the crew showed up to prep our house, they did not come to the door. They went into our back yard, sat around and started smoking. The first time they were here to paint, the trim only received 1 coat of paint and it was obvious that the main color was also only painted once. After the supervisor came out to review, he agreed initially, both the main color and trim had not been done twice. And that the job was poor. We also had bubbling of the paint that he said someone would come back, sand and repaint after the heat of the summer had passed. When the day finally came for the second coat of paint and fixing of the bubbles, they sent THE SAME PAINTER who had done a $h!t job the 1st time.This 'sanding and repaint' was OBVIOUSLY not done. Every bubble in the paint was only cut off and painted over, and still very visible. See pics. In short, they are lazy. You have to clearly babysit the painter to make sure they do what they say they are going to do. DO NOT USE. read more

We got five bids, including Legacy, for painting the exterior of our house this past August. Our 21yo house is cedar shingle siding with a lot of detail trim painting involved, so we needed someone with attention to detail for this project. I was intrigued that Legacy Painting, in reading their reviews, had five stars on almost every review, if not all of them. I now know why, as I was impressed with this company from the first meeting with their sales team...on time, very professional and knowledgeable/realistic about the time line and painting techniques/products needed to do this job. Their painting team carried on the same great work ethic, and their communication with me throughout the whole process was impressive, no matter the day or the time, they responded to our questions/requests. The Legacy Painting crew blew us away with their attention to detail, starting with prepping the house, taping, sanding, etc. The crew was extremely professional on all levels, and very thorough in cleaning up each day. We also needed an oil finish applied to our wood pergola, and they found a great product for removing mildewed areas on the wood, so they did a great prep job before applying the oil finish. And we had some exterior trim that had wood rot; Mark, who is in charge of the painting, was able to find a guy up north to cut the specialized trim to match the original, and then the painting crew was able to perfectly repair this trimmed out area on the front of our house. Yes...they deserve five stars on many levels, and I'd give them ten, if I could. We plan on using them for some inside painting projects, too. Btw, their bid was in the middle of the four others, and it was where I thought it would be, considering the amount of detailed work it entailed. This is a follow up to my previous unfavorable review in 2021. I still stand by that review since the initial work performed was substandard and painters were unsupervised. After I contacted Mark Gilinsky about the peeling paint and the need to honor the company's warranty, Mark responded promptly acknowledging they recognized the problem and would honor the warranty. Since it was into the fall and winter, I did not expect anything to be done until late spring or summer when the weather was dry. Mark stayed in touch with me over the following months and assured me he would get someone out to redo the affected areas on our home as soon as things dried out. As you know, we had a wet spring and it wasn't until August that Mark was able to get a crew out here. They did a proper job scraping, sanding, priming and painting the areas that had peeled and I was pleased with their effort. Of course, the jury is still out regarding whether the paint will hold up but so far, so good. I mentioned to Mark and Dennis at the completion of the work that while their painters worked diligently, they were essentially unsupervised and Legacy Painting needs to have a supervisor checking the progress of jobs in progress. They both graciously accepted my remarks and told me they have been working hard to improve quality control on painting projects. read more

Legacy Painting painted the interior of my 5500 square foot home. Walls ceilings, and some repair and touch up on the trim. Incredible paint job! I wish I knew a stronger words to discribe what a fabulous job Legacy Painting did on my home. Their attention to prep work and all the details insured a great finished paint job. These guys make painting an art form.... they don't just slap paint on a house. Also, they left their work area cleaned up each night, even though the paint job hadn't been completed yet. They take their time and do the job right from start to finish, from protecting my shrubs to protecting my newly installed paver driveway from overspray.
