Beth lied to my face, then turned around within hours and lied to my mother about what she had said to me(denied ever saying to me) lied to my mother and my brother who set up the estate sale. items were stolen and offered for sale in other sales by beth. denied turning the sale over to "jesse" yet she was only onsite to take my mother belongings . . . she lied, she stole items and then screwed mom on the final check! He was honest,…read morehard working, communicates often and thoroughly, and most importantly he's extremely knowledgeable about what will sell, how you should price things and how to squeeze every nickel out of an estate. He was also completely transparent every step of the way. I hired an antique appraiser along with Arthur, but in several cases Arthur was more knowledgeable. He found better ways to sell some silver and gold in the house as well as moved all my appliances and got a bunch for some small items that I didn't think were valuable. Finally, he was upfront with his pricing. I knew what the sale and clean out were going to cost and Arthur was honest about what we were likely to make so I could make a good decision going in. They came out and within 5 minutes was able to tell me I didn't have enough value for them to host a sale. They never really looked at anything, missed half the rooms an avoided the closets completely. I don't understand how you could just peek in the rooms and know the value of the item, especially since most items where in boxes. I called 3 other estate sales companies and they all spent about an hour or two and asked lots of questions. I know I don't have a million dollars in stuff, but he could have at least been respectful and spent any time looking at all my items before making an evaluation.
