It was was on the most incomplete unprofessional appraisals I have ever seen. The list is long but items that were 100 percent incorrect were porch size, covered porch, mountain views, garage, lot size, security system. I did not lose any money as a result of their unprofessional report but I would never recommend or use Residential Valuation Corp. Then looking closer, I saw that the school district, city, and some other local info were wrong. However, I would zero stars if I could for the next issue. Seeing all these errors, I decided to followup on the values listed on the comparable. They pulled a total of 8, and of those, FOUR had values that were incorrect. I found the correct sales prices by a quick search on county websites (and I checked the dates, the prices I saw had been up for at least a month and the appraisal was done just 3 days before my search). Of those 4, at least only ONE of them was in the main 3 used to calculate our appraisal...but of course, none of the houses were truly comparable, as the bed and bathroom counts were off. Please, if Jeffery shows up at your house, refuse entry. He can't do this job.

He appraised my rings right in front of me, talked to me about what he was doing and what he found. The conversation was great. It took about 30 minutes. He printed my report so I have a hard copy and then he emailed me a copy so I could forward that right over to insurance. I only need it appraised every 5 years or so but I will be back and I recommend Neil to everyone!!

We've been to several Gypsy Boy sales, but now we avoid them…read more EVERYTHING at these sales is SO overpriced! Expect to pay high retail for everything ever sold at a Gypsy Boy sale. $150 for an old, weathered (but not antique, not unique, just boring low end) lawn mower? Random glassware imprinted with swag of the past ("I Attended The Citgo Corporate Challenge of 1988!!") for $4.00 each? Half empty jars of face cream from the early 90's for $8.00 each? Crappy, dated, ugly masonite-n-formica dining table for $50? Used towels, used sheets... all at prices that aren't that much lower than what you'd pay for new. They are mighty proud of their stuff. Since they earn half of whatever they sell this stuff for, you can bet the Gypsy Boys price high, high, high. But I am not sure if that translates to much of a benefit for the family. Bottom line, you will never find any kind of deal at one of their sales, not even close. It is a small thing, but we've found their staff to be a little unpleasant as well. Not to us, but we've witnessed several interactions where it's clear that the sales people are just exhausted, or jaded, or sick of customers, and don't mind giving the impression that hosting these sales is SUCH a pain in the neck for them. We went to pay for a small item and the person at the checkout area was eating. The person ahead of us said, "Is this where I pay?" TO which the salesperson said, "Seriously? Can I just get a couple of bites in here?" Um. We're here to.... buy stuff...give you money....uhhhh. They ARE super organized, and DO know their stuff, so they get two stars. But we won't be attending any more of their "sales".
