From short hair to long hair Pooja has never failed to make me feel like I look my absolute best when leaving. Beyond this, the cut and style is so great it requires zero product and very little maintenance to keep it looking chic. Christie did a balayage for me at the beginning of last summer (photo 1, please note I wanted it very natural). Not only was the original coloring exactly what I wanted. It faded so naturally that I didn't need to get a gloss until almost 9 months later (see second image) Beyond their talent, they are wonderful, kind, hardworking women, that I am proud to have gotten to know as people over these years. This establishment doesn't look as if it can (or willing to) accommodate such high expectations. There won't be complimentary teas, wine, cocktails. Sorry. Walk-ins are welcomed. Place is small with only 6 chairs and a long bench behind that serves as a good waiting area. Believe me when I say this bench is well utilized! I went down to a legit salon on Austin Street and paid three times more than the Groupon cost, but the hairdresser treated me with respect and was upfront about all of the costs (she didn't try to scam me into shelling out more and more money for services). Also, be aware that "Hair and Color Salon" is also known as other names if you Google the address "9 Station Square"...and oh yeah, this store is also for sale on sites like Trulia and Douglas Elliman, which leads me to believe that the Groupon scam is all about a quick cash grab with no intention of retaining a loyal customer base. If you want to be treated with respect and have a quality salon experience, I recommend that you avoid this place.
