What a great spa! First off , Esterra was open mere weeks after being damaged by hurricane Ian so they're awesome for that reason alone . During my visit there were visible signs of damage where flooding occurred . Some services were unavailable like the showers and steam room due to damage from the hurricane but I was grateful they were even open . I found the staff to be pleasant and helpful . I did a 90 minute deep tissue massage and a facial . The experience provided a nice relaxing retreat and I left feeling refreshed ! The retail section also offered a variety of products. I purchased several Olaplex products and it was nice they offered a lot of choices. After my visit , we went to the Nauti Mermaid seaside bar which is also apart of the Westin resort . Wow!!! What an amazing and incredible oasis! It is located at The Westin Cape Coral Resort. Talk about pampering! My hair stylist, Gregory, got set up here after he moved to the area. I have never seen a more beautiful place. The location is so extremely inviting. You walk in from the parking garage. They have reserved spots for the salon on the second level. Parking is Free. The place overlooks a gorgeous harbor with some of the most majestic yachts, and boats and the view is like a painting brought to life! I needed to get my hair and nails done. Gregory introduced me to Gigi the nail expert. . They coordinated the nails and hair to assure that everything went smoothly and I didn't have to wait in between services. As Gregory got me seated in the chair for my coiffure, he asked if he could bring me something to drink, Bud, Coke, Mimosa, before he could continue, I blurted out mimosa. Wow! Sounded like that they may have a fully stocked bar. . Anyway, he brought my mimosa and they beautifying began. The atmosphere is so relaxing. All the people really enjoy what they do. I have never seen so many people actually love where they work. I truly loved my experience here and the excellent results. Now, they only do manicures in the Nail salon, no artificial nails. I was so blown away and so very happy! I will be going here all the time. Honestly was not pleased with my service. The front staff was not personal at all and didn't even acknowledge me or hand me the paper work to complete for my services. My massage was ok- I just found that it was nothing special and often times the therapist would apply light pressure in a area for a few minutes and that was it, it felt like nothing was being done. However for my facial she asked me what goals I wanted to accomplish and I noted that I had black head pores that needed to be extracted on both my chin and nose. During my appointment she didn't even use the steamer or do any extractions which was a big disappointment for me because I walked out with clogged pores still and no difference after I paid a lot of money. Overall during both appointments the massage and the facial the walls were so thin you could hear everything and the other workers weren't even considerate of that and were SO loud in their conversations so it wasn't a very relaxing experience because all you could hear was loud talking/gossiping. The entire staff there is always friendly and super accommodating, the atmosphere is located on the grounds of the Beautiful Westin Cape Coral. Also recently had Giana for a facial and I've already booked my next appointment to see her again. She was very good analyzing my skin. Her facial was carried out completely and carefully - plus she has that "good touch" that helped to put me in a relaxed state. LOVED also the hand and foot massage while I was masking. My husband booked me a pedi and European facial while we were in town on vacation. Spa is bright and clean, and everyone was friendly. Had a facial (my first one) with Giana and it was one of the singularly most relaxing experiences of my life (minus the extraction part but that just comes with the territory!). My pedi was good but she went a little too far up with the callus remover thing on my big toe and scraped a bunch of skin that was painful for a few days after- only reason they lose a star. Terrible terrible terrible experience with Esterra. We should have known when we had trouble booking to run but since we were staying at the Westin we thought it would be the most convenient but it turned into a nightmare. There were four of us getting hair and makeup for a family wedding. We were visiting from out of town and booked the appointments at least a month in advance. At first we were told they could not accommodate all of us for makeup but then they called us back saying it would all work out. The day before the wedding as we are getting on a plane to Florida, Esterra calls and says one of the makeup artists quit and now they don't know how to fit us all in. After explaining to them on the phone how to make it all fit in 4 hours, they assured us we would be good to go the next morning. An hour before our appointments were scheduled to begin (and 5 hours before the wedding), Esterra calls us once again to now say the other makeup artist called out sick. The manager was rude, unhelpful and unapologetic. Now we were forced to call every Salon we could find on google to get new appointments. The manager rudely said well there is nothing we can do and seemed as if she did not feel like dealing with us. After offering us 50% off our hair services and due to the fact there were no other salons with open appointments since it was a holiday weekend, we decided to try it out. There were two stylists, Kathy and we believe Amy, a young blonde girl. Amy did everyone's hair except my own. She did a good job nothing fabulous. My mom's hair in a side pony looked the best and was intricately weaved. Amy did not talk much and wasn't the friendliest but her hair dos were not awful. She uses a tight curling iron to start for everyone. I requested a braid updo both when we scheduled appointments and early in the morning. Therefore I was told Kathy would be my stylist. It took her over an hour to do an updo and I was completely unhappy with it. I showed her numerous photos of how I wanted a braid on each side and then a messy pin up in the back. She repeated to me "so how is two braids and a neat chignon?" She was either incompetent or completely clueless on how to do hair. The braids did NOT look anything like braids. I asked her to redo it and they looked even worse than the first time. She had shaky hands and did not seem to know how to braid so I am unsure as to why this stylist was assigned to me. Then as she did the back of my hair it looked nothing like what I requested. It was a series of neat loops with the ends sticking out, similar to a terrible 90s movie hairstyle. I told her I hated it and it was nothing like the pictures and was not what I asked for. I told her I wanted messy and she said "well this is messy for me so I am not sure what to tell you" my sister reiterated that this is not what I asked for and although Kathy said she would redo it, we had to leave because we needed to leave for wedding in 15 minutes and we're not dressed. Plus, she had already redone it once and it did not work out well. The manager knew I was unhappy and did not care. They continued to charge me and were rude. When I said thank you to Kathy she just responded with a terse "mmhm." Rude. Awful hair stylist, would never ever go back. She couldn't even use a curling iron right. Never go to Esterra. I am highly un satisfied with my experience and expect more from a salon, especially in the management. No apologies no anything. Unacceptable. Not worth any time, money or effort despite benign conveniently located next to the hotel. read more

We were staying at the Westin and hoping for a pampered spa experience like a Bliss Spa. When I called to make my reservations, the girl on the phone didn't ask for any details and did not offer any information ahead of time. I got there and had to deal with these details while eating into my appointment time. Turns out they had a special that I could have used but they didn't tell me about it was until too late! The massage was good but not great. They had a heated table and some oil but no aromatherapy nor robes. Overall, it was an average experience at best. They are just one step higher than a strip mall "spa". Don't waste your money. Save up for Bliss. read more

I don't typically write reviews on here, but felt the need to after I had a horrible experience with the Esterra Spa & Salon at the Westin, Cape Coral. I was part of a bridal party for a wedding back in May and my hair/makeup looked horrible. I have had up-do's in my hair on numerous occasions with no issues and the entire time, the girl who did my hair complained about it and that she was having trouble getting it to stay. I told her numerous times that my hair doesn't stay well so it requires a lot of bobby-pins/hairspray, and she barely put any in. Of course, an hour or two later, my hair had completely fallen out. My makeup was even worse. The airbrush color that the girl used on my face made me look like Casper. She also put on false eyelashes that were way too long (they practically touched my eyebrows). In addition, one blew halfway off before the ceremony even started and was in my eye the entire night. The majority of the pictures of me from that day are awful as a result of how bad my makeup looked. My mom also got her makeup done there and the girl made her eyebrows look so much darker than her normal color. Both my mom and I said they were too much but the girl insisted that they were fine. Neither of us wear that much makeup and prefer a natural look. The girls did not listen to what we asked for. The price was also much higher than I expected, which I found out was due to extra charges for the eyelashes that fell off anyway. Myself, as well as my mother, and the bride were very disappointed in this experience. I would not recommend. read more
