If you're considering this company to deliver your freight, do yourself a favor and cancel the order now. They give you false hope at every step. They'll email and text you saying your freight is 'out for delivery,' they'll show you an ETA, they'll even display a live driver‑tracking screen -- and it's all complete nonsense. None of it is real. They do not deliver when they say they will. I took a personal day off work -- an actual loss of income -- just to make sure I was home so thousands of dollars' worth of goods weren't left sitting outside. And when the delivery window passed with no truck in sight, I called Customer Service. That was another waste of time. They claimed they couldn't reach dispatch, said they'd 'escalate' the issue, and promised a call back within 24 hours to reschedule. They provided no reason for the missed delivery, and could not explain in any way why it was not delivered. Completely unacceptable. I don't have unlimited time to burn waiting around for a company that can't meet its own commitments. Their incompetence cost me an entire day of work for absolutely nothing. Simply put - you are NOT their customer. Here are some tips: 1.) DO NOT CONTACT THEM: They are a 3rd party, who farms out their freight to private and/or local companies. There is absolutely (absolutely) nothing they can do to help you. "Escalating your shipment." is just what they are scripted to say. 2.) THEIR AUTOMATED EMAIL SERVICE DOES NOT WORK: Just ignore it altogether (seriously, the manager even told me to do so), or think of it as an "estimate" as to when you may get your freight. 3.) CONTACT THE SELLER DIRECTLY IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES: Estes can not help you, they can not give refund you, they can not do anything to "escalate your shipment.". You will only frustrate yourself with the long wait times to get your request "escalated.". The driver who delivered my freight was not in anyway, shape, or form, affiliated with them. Absolute NIGHTMARE! Complete lack of any help. I am another customer who purchased an item from Target, only to have EFW contracted by them to deliver. Target's website did allow me to purchase in-home delivery and instructed me to call EFW directly to request this. I live in a high rise with a service elevator and we are not allowed to have large deliveries dropped at our door. I called TWICE and both times I was assured that they had uplifted the delivery to include services into my home. I was promised this the day before when I saw that the tracking was still reflecting a door drop but again, the customer service rep assured me that I would get a call 30 mins prior to delivery, a signature requirement, and they would bring the 200 pound table upstairs. Flash to our delivery window and all of a sudden I got a text the table had been delivered. There it was in it's massive box sitting in front of my building in Chicago where anyone strong enough could make off with it. It was also blocking the main entrance causing a fire hazard and my building was ready to send me a heavy fine. I called customer service to ask what on earth had happened and request the drivers come back to follow through on delivery, I was promised a call back within the hour by a manager, and guess what: she never called back. Big shock right? I called dispatch and the snotty woman named Alejandra who I spoke with basically told me that although they didn't call me or get my signature, the CS rep I spoke to failed to call Target to uplift my delivery service to in home and so technically they did what they were contracted to. She admitted they failed but offered me zero help. She was rude, lacked any empathy and kept pushing me off the phone telling me to call CS as it wasn't her problem. Fortunately, three strong guys were walking by and offered to help me get the table upstairs when they saw me upset outside. Total strangers displayed absolute compassion, but from now on I will be calling Target before placing an order to ask who is the contracted delivery company and then explaining why I won't buy the item from them if it's EFW. read more

This is the absolute WORST I've ever dealt with a package. Purchased a TV from Walmart.com. Was told it would deliver July 3. It showed that it made it to there facility literally 9 miles away from me on the 1st. It didn't show up. No status changeover their site, no call. I figured, there's a holiday, COVID. Stuff happens. EFW shipping company is such a joke! Here is the timeline of my order: 12/26/20 - Ordered treadmill from Horizon Fitness 12/28/20 - Shipment was created 12/29/20 - Shipment arrived at origin city 12/30/20 - In transit to destination city 12/31/20 - Arrived at destination city At this point, I was informed via email that I should receive a call from EFW to schedule and delivery date and select a delivery shipping window. I let a few days go by as this was during the holidays. January 1-7 went by and I haven't heard anything from them. I gave them a call on 1/8/21 and no one picked up so I decided to use their automated system to schedule a delivery day. The automated system gave me available time slots and I chose 1/12/21 from 10am-2pm. Now it's delivery day, 1/12/21. I requested PTO to stay home and wait for this delivery as they required a signature for release. I check my email this morning and it says my delivery window is now 7am-11am, which is fine but I decided to give them a call just to confirm. I was able to get to an agent this time and she said she doesn't know why I received an email with a different time slot, but she did confirm that my delivery date was 1/12/21 at 10-2pm because that was what was shown in their system. I then receive a text message this morning at 9:35am from EFW saying my delivery date is now 1/14/21 from 2-6pm! I called them back and they said it was because the driver was double booked and is unable to fulfill the delivery. WHY THE FUCK DID THE SYSTEM PROVIDE ME AVAILABLE DELIVERY DATES AND TIME SLOTS IF THEY DONT HAVE DRIVERS AVAILABLE? The agent put me on an escalation list and said someone from that team will call me to see if another driver can make the delivery. I highly doubt I will receive anything and will most likely need to call back later. This company is joke and if I knew Horizon Fitness partnered with EFW, I would have bought elsewhere. I ordered a treadmill from Horizon Fitness in January. It was finally delivered on February 7 by a local delivery company that EFW contracted to make the delivery. In the delivery process, my wood floor was damaged. Wood chipped and scratched all to hell. They carried the treadmill in out of its packaging. There are scratches and scrapes all over it! I immediately filed a claim with EFW that included pictures and an estimate from a flooring company. It is now almost June and I continue to get a run around from the claims department. The only contact information available is an email address! I have asked for a phone to call to speak with someone. While I do receive email responses, it's always the same answer. Wow, customer service by Estes was ridiculous. I got a notice in the email to schedule an appointment for delivery. I called right away, but they did not pick up for 3 days. Then when someone finally picked up, the lady "Ruby" who had written the notice, proceeded to berate me for being hard to reach and not picking up any calls that she "personally" dialed or answering any of the 3 voicemails she did not leave me. I checked my phone logs and did not receive a single voicemail or call from her. Funny enough, because I'm the one who left them 3 voicemails. I gave her the tracking number listed on the notice and it was also the wrong tracking number. After getting attitude about it, I had to contact the shipper for the correct tracking number. All I wanted to do was to schedule the appointment ASAP, because obviously, I wanted to receive my freight ASAP but the lady would not give it a rest! What could have been a quick 1 minute scheduling call ended up being a 10-minute needlessly unpleasant one. Sincerely hoping I never have to interact with them again! Delivery by Oliver's Trucking was great though! They gave him a 6500-pound package for the driver to deliver himself and it was really difficult! I was notified it arrived in my home town on 3/1, I have yet to have the item delivered. From the CSR, it arrives one place, only to be picked up by someone else to be delivered. Since they are closed on the weekend, I'm hoping this is resolved next week. Previous reviews talk about the scripted responses, all three calls to this company resulted in the exact same information. I was supposedly elevated to a supervisor (after a VERY long hold). She sent me an email, but I have little or no faith that my problem will be resolved. I ordered a patio set from Walmart with a delivery date of June 25th at 6 pm. NOTHING!!! I called EFW and was on hold for 40 minutes. My package was 45 minutes away from my house. I was told by someone in a heavy accent that the dispatcher has 48 hours to "decide" when they will deliver it. What a racket. Walmart customer service is no better. Nothing they can do to help. My biggest problem is not only did I order patio furniture but a grill which has a delivery date of Tuesday. I'm guessing I wont get that either. I'm not someone who writes a lot of reviews good or bad, but today I felt the need to share my experience to save others from having the same experience. I placed my order on Target.com for a sofa. The delivery company assigned to my order was EFW. The shipment was supposed to arrive June 7 but it did not. After multiple calls/chats, I finally received a delivery date and time, June 18, 2021 between 6:45am-11:45am. On June 18 at 10:15am I received a call from the driver with EFW who told me he would be arriving in about 20-30 minutes and proceeded to tell me that he would only be dropping off my sofa to the lobby of my apartment building, not to my door. I immediately told him that's not going to work for me he's going to have to bring it to my door just like everything else I order from target, especially the biggest item I've ever ordered from target. Within 10 minutes a representative from EFW called me telling me that I have a "curbside delivery" not to the door delivery which is false because on my shipment receipt the service level says to the door! The representative proceeded to let me know that because I live in an apartment building, to the door means to the lobby door not my apartment door. It was the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life! I don't live in the damn lobby. I'm being discriminated against because I don't own my own home I live in an apartment so they refuse to deliver to my front door like they do for home owners. There was no way I, a female, would be able to take a sofa up 11 flights by myself! I don't own a dolly or live with a man to help me with my shipment. I was never told or notified I would be receiving my shipment at the curb of my building at the time of purchase by Target or by EFW. This was crazy! This was FALSE ADVERTISMENT ON A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL!! I couldn't believe that my order from target, TARGET, this reputable company was doing this to me. I called Target customer service immediately and explained my situation. Before I could even finish my story, the representative knew I was talking about EFW and told me unfortunately there was nothing she could do to help me. She advised to just refuse the shipment and let EFW send the order back to Target and get a full refund. I wasted 5-6 weeks waiting around for an item that I expected to be delivered to my door for only to be played games with on the day of delivery. I will be filing a suit against Target and EFW for false advertisement and discrimination. Target needs to sever their ties with EFW because they aren't doing their job. They are deceiving their customers. EFW is the biggest joke of a freight company that I've ever experienced. I received a large outdoor storage shed from Walmart using EFW as the shipping carrier to deliver the item. The driver was very rude and indifferent. Before he carried the large 125lb box from his truck to outside my garage, I asked if he would just place it on my 2-wheel dolly so I could put it inside instead. He said no and walked away but, before walking away the heavy box fell on me. He walked faster to his car as if to pretend he did not see it happen. The box literally fell on top of me! He turned back twice to see the distress I was in as he walked away. I WOULD NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AT ALL! He seemed to care more about getting his deliveries done than helping a woman with a heavy box that fell on her. Well the pool still hasn't arrived but the rain did. The storm washed away the sand from the installation site. I spent $3000 on excavation and sand to prepare and level this site for delivery on 6/28. I ordered a treadmill through Horizon Fitness and have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this company. I received an email saying my item shipped on 3/25. I have tracked this shipment multiple times, sometimes it says my tracking number doesn't even exist??!! I've tried chatting, emailing, and I'm currently on hold with them, mind you I've been on hold with them for 15 minutes and counting. This is so sad. I will make sure to double check the shipping carrier from now on and avoid anyone doing business with them. Absolutely terrible. I understand COVID is slowing things down, but this is ridiculous. As soon as I offered the number the first female agent hung up on me. Then called back receiving the same result that it was not in their system. I was a bit worried when I started reading the reviews for the carrier after placing an order with Target for an Osaki massage chair that used EFW as the shipping agent but things ended up good for the most part. It arrived earlier than expected which changed the delivery date and it did arrive on the date it was scheduled via e-mail. One of the boxes was banged up but the product inside was fine, not sure if that happened during the shipping process or while unloading it to the front of my house. The massage chair was shipped in 3 large boxes totaling about 300 lbs and I was very happy that the people in charge of my delivery made the effort to put them under the covered portion by my front door as it was raining the day before. My only feedback to EFW was I was not notified that they were putting the boxes in front of my home, I'm used to having to sign something or even be informed they're here to make a delivery. I understand that they may not want anyone present while they are moving the boxes because of COVID but having the doorbell rang to notify us would have been appreciated since it was just sitting in front in plain sight for about 30 minutes before we caught a glimpse of the boxes on our security camera. read more

Ordered three weeks in advance to allow for time for shipping, so I could have it assembled in time for Christmas morning. The appointment scheduled for Dec. 21st between 1-5 PM. Took the day off work and waited. No delivery, no phone call, no email, no information. Called the customer service number, automated line confirmed the delivery window. Called the back for an actual agent and waited on hold for an hour, nobody ever picked up. Heard that EFW was bad, but figured only the squeaky wheels were speaking up. NOPE, just terrible. No idea when I'm getting my package, no idea who to talk to about getting my shipping costs refunded. My situation isn't even concluded so this review is meant more as cautionary than retrospective. I'm surprised businesses with this level of incompetence are still able to survive in 2020. Perhaps not for much longer. Everyone from scheduling to weekend communication and the delivery driver was professional, courteous, and competent. I was able to reach them easily by email and phone. They texted me when the oversized delivery was on the way. The delivery driver went above and beyond to deliver to the front door when the back door would have been more convenient for him. From Texts/emails saying prepare for your delivery tomorrow to texts saying we're on the way to 15 minutes later saying there's a delay.
