This is truly an amazing experience. The views of Estes Park are magnificent while on the tram and even more so when you reach your destination. If you opt to take the tram at a later time you can get a discount so it's worth looking into. There is a small cafe and gift shop located at the top which serves food and beverages (alcoholic as well). Kitchen closes at 6:30pm and drink service stops at 7pm.

The tram takes you up (smaller car, maybe 8 people max) to another gift shop, cafe, and some areas you can hike and scramble. The views are really good and you can hike to the top of the mountain there. The only issue we had was the one operator didn't wear deodorant and made the whole car stink. It was terrible.

If your afraid of heights maybe sit this one out, but it was so awesome! The way down seemed better than the way up but it was an awesome experience and our team attended was so nice and knowledgeable!

Loved that they had this tram take you to the top of a mountain and walk around! We bought our tickets online and showed up actually later than our ticket time. We joined the line and it took 10-15min until we were able to get on the tram. At the top, there's a gift shop and cafe and you can go hike around. Since we had plans, we did a quick tour of the shop and took some pictures before heading down. Overall, it's definitely worth it for the views of the area if you don't want to hike up!

Try to go early as the crowds are less. The food court up top is not good for most things except peanuts to feed the chipmunks. Good hiking trails up top, except it's a long .6 mile to the top. Ride is quick and safe. Good views from tram tower, better than the higher views.

The views are amazing and the chipmunks are fun to watch and feed. Nice gift shop as well. The tram ride was quick and smooth. We went early and had the entire place nearly all to ourselves.

Beautiful views Easy online ticket purchase I think the cost is a bit pricey but we paid it and so did many more people

Take the sky tram to the top of "Chipmunk Mountain" you won't be disappointed. The journey to the top is smooth and view is stunning. Once you reach the top, you'll get to the gift shop w/ mountain exploring behind it. There are picnic tables, so pack a lunch. If by chance you're not able to throw something together, there's a small cafe inside the gift shop. Beware, the chipmunks run these mountains and they are not afraid to make friends with you in exchange for something yummy! You're warned not to feed the chipmunks, but plenty of people had peanuts with them.. maybe I missed the memo about buying chipmunk approved snacks that you could buy to feed them? There's a tram to take you back down so you'll enjoy the scenery as your feet touch back down from nature's bliss.

I have waited over 2 years for someone to buy this place and open it up and let me say it did not disappoint. We met the new owner who was absolutely awesome! Down on the ground level they have a gift shop that has so much cute stuff to buy souvenir wise. Then once you get on the tram which is around about a 2 min ride up is absolutely breath taking w the views. Once you get up there is some viewing area where you pay 25 cents to look through a telescope. The first building you pass is some seating and a few games. The next building is another shop plus a place to get food and drinks. I got a coffee which was pretty good. There is so many trails and so many spots to get good views of down below and better shots of the mountains up high. There is also chipmunks and squirrels that are super friendly and you can feed so don't forget your peanuts or you can buy some at the cafe for 3 bucks. I loved this so much and will be back again.

We took the tram as a group of 5 in the afternoon this past week (august) and it was fun! There weren't any lines and we were able to hop right on! The tram itself did scare a few people in our group so keep that in mind. We fed the chipmunks up top and took in the beautiful views of Estes park. Our tram operator was kind and knowledgeable. The way down they did cram us in 10 people deep which... tight squeeze, but what can you do.

The views are amazing, the tram and ride is fun and historic! The chipmunks are bold and plentiful... the weather was great for us!

Visited Estes Park during the summer and was so excited to ride the historic Aerial Tramway. The adorable red cars and spectacular views made for a wonderful date for me & my spouse. I would have given 5 stars, but I felt like there were a few too many people crammed in the cars on the way up; the ride down was much more enjoyable with fewer people. Once you arrive at the top, make sure to wander all around. The views are beautiful and the little coffee shop/souvenir shop is super cute. Everyone who worked here was very friendly and kind. We will definitely ride again when we visit.

Cool place not too far from the town. The views at the top were amazing and there's a short walking train to the top where the towers are. The line gets long to wait to get on and to buy the tickets since the tram is small but it's worth it and the line wasn't too bad. We had an awesome time riding on the tram even though it was short and the views of the town were incredible. Highly recommend if you need something to do for a couple of hours.

When I went for my checkride, it almost seemed easy compared to all the focused training. The Rocky Mountain Regional Airport is very busy and my son was having a hard time feeling confident to speak to the air traffic controllers. I asked if a flight instructor could arrange for my son to go with him into the airport's control tower to see how hectic their job was in comparison to my son talking into the headset. They said they had no arrangement for that. Unfortunately, my son took a break from his training. I pulled my $1900 out of his account when they told me it would not secure his place he went from 6th on their list to a 150th.

They told me that I do not have the skillset to become a pilot and that I should not fly. However, instead of falling on my face, I immediately finished my private helicopter rating in the third busiest class D airspace in the USA. I was finishing college in Denver, and did not want to switch schools and move cities. So, as HeliOps is the only rotorcraft flight school within 6 hours of Denver, I had to fly or drive 6+ hours to and from flight schools to finish my helicopter ratings. I have now finished all my ratings needed to be hired in the industry and have received a total of 4 job offers even before completion of my commercial rating. The instructors at HeliOps are manipulative and do not seek to create qualified, competent pilots for the industry. They say that you are the only one not making progress here (even though almost all students who have stayed at HeliOps to complete their ratings have up to 100 extra hours over minimums, or left and excelled at other schools). Another phrase they like is that students at this school end up with higher hours because they hold them to a higher standard than other schools do. However, students end up with higher hours because there is enough time left between when a student learns a skill (for example, an autorotation) and the next time they fly, so that their skills perish and they have to learn the skill again. Once that skill has been re-learned, it has now been 3+ weeks since the other maneuvers have been practiced and they have to learn those skills again. There are so many skills to be learned in order to pass a checkride that training can take almost an unlimited amount of time if a school is not focused on getting students past a checkride. I have used the same examiner for my instrument rating that HeliOps uses for all their students. They lie about the difficulty of the checkride, what items will be on it, and what the examiner will be looking for in order to justify the fact that they make many students repeat lessons tirelessly. The instructors of HeliOps have told me and many other students to see an aviation therapist/psychologist. If you go here, remember this review when they tell you to see one. To add insult to injury, a previous male Schweizer 300 instructor has been SEXUALLY HARASSING ME through Facebook Messenger. This HeliOps instructor has asked me to allow him to do sexual things to my friends and I, and when I did not comply with his request, he told me to go F*** myself. I write this review with the hope that at least one person will be kept from the pain and financial drain that I have been a victim of through attending flight training at HeliOps. Do not go to this school.

After researching tour companies through Yelp and other review websites I settled on Rocky Mountain Rush because of their great reviews on Trip Advisor. Though we had to contend with a rainy day, RMR did a great job of showing us some of the highlights of the park. The park itself is absolutely breathtaking (separate review) and a need-to-see experience. The RMR vehicle (pretty much a really big Hummer) is spacious and very comfortable. Since it has the capacity to become an open air vehicle, it can get a little chilly inside. Comfy fleece blankets are provided. Our guide was fantastic - he seemed to know a lot about the park's history and was truly funny. Just a couple of things... not easy to make a reservation online. I sent three requests and eventually just had to call. It is virtually impossible for me to use a phone on my work days so I would have found online more convenient. A longer tour, even by just an hour or so would be great. The park is huge so don't get me wrong... I get why you can't see everything in a few hours. Besides the basic hummer tour, they also do downhill biking adventures and wine and cheese sunset tours. Their prices are on the moderate side ($50 pp). Overall, a good service!

We had a bit of a mishap during my tour, where my phone was dropped and my battery tumbled off a bridge and down the side of the mountain. Our guide saved the day by literally sliding down the mountain to retrieve my battered - but still functional! - phone innards. Nevermind the details about how that happened (though I wonder if it'll make it into our guide's stories from here on out), but not having that battery would have really put a kink in the remainder of FH and I's trip to Colorado, so I was thankful, if a bit nervous, that he rescued it. We would love to come back in the summertime and take one of the off-road tours, and will definitely look up this company again if we find ourselves in Estes in warmer months.
