A must stop or stops when visiting Estes Park. The manned visitor center provided great information. There was also a small exhibition area and gift shop. Restrooms were acceptable. There was a free surface parking lot as well as a free garsge. There were also two paved trails from the visitor center. One was the river side trail which led to the downtown tourist area. The other trail led to Lake Estes. We took advantage of the river side trail and explored downtown. During the summer tourist season, a free shuttle was available to take people to Rocky Mountain Nation Park from the visitor center.

I have hiked several great trails in Estes Park. And quite simply you should visit. Visit any season. Spring is gorgeous as is fall but winter is amazing. Hike Longs Peak if you really want to test your chops. Great trails to 13ers to: Mount Ypsilon is another fantastic hike. Visit the lakes as they are stunning. Bear was frozen and was Odessa....wouldn't recommend skating this early though!

Right on the riverwalk, it has free parking and bathrooms. The staff answered our questions and advised on where to spot elk. There are pamphlets which help you navigate the area and have things to do and where to eat in Estes Park.

This is one of the best visitor centers I have encountered in my travels. They offer lots of brochures and maps. Their restrooms are also top notch. There is a counter with staff that you can ask questions to and they provide great answers and information. There is also a place to look at menus from the different restaurants in the area, which was a nice touch. They offer free parking and shuttle service and stops throughout the town. It is an incredible service. You can also take a walk to the town, which is quick and offers so many fantastic scenery and fun things to do along the way. There is a mosaic tile bridge, and a light show in the bridge, and musical instruments to play along the way. Maybe take the shuttle bus back to get your car, but take that scenic route from the visitor's center to the town. You won't regret that choice.

So many maps....ironically you could get lost in this place if you tried to look through all these maps. You know what this place needs? A map of all the maps. Seriously, a map for the map section for the park, a map for the map section of the town, etc. But in all seriousness, this place is super helpful. We came in having some idea of what we wanted to do and the gal at the front helped us out so much. Suggested great hikes for us!! Plus free maps and bathrooms. What's not to like? Just make sure you ask for the map to the bathroom. It's just past the maps of the restaurants, but If you hit the maps on the historical sites, youve gone too far.

Friendly and helpful staff at the visitor center! We enjoyed picking up some souvenirs and chatting for a few minutes. They have clean bathrooms and plenty of resources for activities and a list of the gear shops that supply rentals.

If you're ever in the neighborhood of visiting Estes Park, the Visitors Center will hook you up with some informative brochures, maps, and ideas to make the most out of your trip. This was one of my favorite trips in January of 2021. The Estes Park Visitors Center website shows of 5 trail ideas to hike with your canine companion, as well as the "Green Jeep Tours." The Green Jeep Tours remind me of the "Pink Jeep Tours," in Williams, AZ because of how much Jeep Tours are popular for tourists. A cool idea for the summer that was shared with me by the visitors center, is the 6th annual Snowy Grass Music Festival in Estes Park! I will attach some information below after my review! The inside of the facility has some really cool aisles with loads of maps and brochures for lodging, camping, info on the Rocky Mountain National Park and more!! The staff are incredible and very knowledgeable! They sell post cards and calendars with stunning naturistic scenery. 271 Ivy St, Estes Park, CO 80517 Phone: 832-758-5913 Presented By: Upstream Concerts Dates: July 30, 2021 - July 31, 2021 Recurrence: Recurring daily Location: Behind Snowy Peaks Winery Address: 271 Ivy St, Estes Park, CO 80517 Phone: 832-758-5913 Price: $37.50 - $75 (2 Day Pass) ESTES PARK VISITOR CENTER 500 Big Thompson Avenue Estes Park, CO 80517 (970) 577-9900 / (800) 443-7837 VISIT ESTES PARK BUSINESS OFFICE PO Box 4426 Estes Park, CO 80517 (970) 586-0500

I've been here many times while visiting Estes. We usually park here every year and then walk the path along the golf course to view the elk in September. The bathrooms are open after hours and that is a huge benefit when it's early morning and everything else is closed. The people who work here are super friendly and helpful. They have answers for just about anything you might want to know about Estes. The parking garage nearby has plenty of space and there are buses that can take you to other places in town since parking everywhere else is very limited. If you're visiting Estes, this is the place to come first!

Our attendant was very rude and short with us. The facility is nice with nice restrooms, but the customer service was poor.

We had exited the park at the Fall River Station when we saw this and decided to stop in at the end of the day. The Fall River Visitor Center is the newest Visitor Center. There are some rubber stamps for your parks passport. This visitor center also has public toilets available. We were here briefly, but it was a nice little stop!

After entering Rocky Mountain National Park through the Fall River Entrance Station, you can access either Trail Ridge Road or Old Fall River Road. Old Fall River Road is the original road through the park. Both roads are seasonal and close in the winter. Either route will take you all the way to the Alpine Visitor Center. Rocky Mountain National Park requires a timed entry reservation made in advance to enter the park. The Fall River Entrance is currently under construction for road widening, a new entrance sign and entrance station kiosks. This will help reduce traffic congestion going into the park. There were dozens of excellent photo opportunities, and we visited many of the parks most famous landmarks. We had the pleasure of seeing dozens of elk, mule deer, marmots, and even a pika! If you have a small group looking for a convenient way to see much of RMNP, I highly recommend Colorado Sightseer.

PRO TIP: try avoiding the most back row if you have long legs or any stress with mobility. Because once you sit there, the seat is assigned and you will have to deal with being cramped in a tighter space. And you basically are always the last one to get off. This was one of the biggest cons. Moving on, the tour itself was great. We stopped by a cafe on the way to and back, for food and bathroom breaks, and pretty soon, the van took us to the Rocky Mountain with beautiful views and even saw many wildlife - the big horn sheep, elk, deer (i think), and, not to forget, smaller animals like birds, mouse, and chipmunks, but no moose spotted. Nonetheless, the breathtaking view of the Rockies is certainly worth the journey. The guide was very knowledgeable about trees and shared many stories about the places and tips for visiting Denver in general! She also took us to a few Native American owed stores that featured indigenous art that were very cool to see. One thing to note is that I think the Colorado Sightseer, the tour company, had listed at least two slightly different itineraries, and I might have been sent to the one I did not pick. I noticed because I intentionally picked the tour with visits to two visitor centers, vs the one I went on only took us to Beaver Meadows. Not a big deal bc I did get still get my stamp, and the tour used most of the day's time efficiently by visiting many attractions. But this might be something you want to make sure if the stops matter a lot to you. Nonetheless, with a group tour, it is understandable and expected for the itinerary to potentially change. For instance, the day I went, the tour guide actually too us to visit places in different order to avoid crowds. Another thing to really appreciate is that the tour provided some snacks, extra gloves/beanies, which were really a lifesaver in the cold mountains. I know I was not fully prepared for it and so glad I could borrower some!
