We got our rescue 3 months ago and he's been so amazing, but there have just been certain things that we didn't know how to train him on. Now we know how to work with him, and even 4 days later he's already starting to show big improvement! Cathie said that the main reason people return dogs after adopting them are for issues that can often be trained out of, but often we just don't know how to do that best. She is also nicer than every dog she meets. It's not even a question. This is because of how they raise their puppies. It's really scary to make a decision like this. Especially since we did not pick our dog in person. I like the security of knowing that my dog is totally healthy, and I like the relationship I currently have with gorgeousdoodles. I ask them questions all the time. You become part of the family. They helped us when we freaked out about having a puppy (you will freak out), and they still give us advice on collars, training, shots, everything. They stay in touch with everyone- from Halloween contests to Happy birthdays. I hate to think people would be scared away by an obviously angry reviewer who didn't get the dog they thought they were getting. We were told immediately that this was part of the process. It's not like buying a car. They get to know you and the puppies at the same time. It's fluid. You may not get to pick a specific dog. They will narrow it down. That's what you want tho. You want a good fit. You talk about what your looking for. I had to remind myself that they are dogs first, people second. So if an email wasn't immediately responded too, I assumed they were dealing with a full liter of puppies. After having a puppy for a few months I understood this better. Imagine half a dozen!
