I didn't give it 5 stars because we were never given the WIFI and the guy seemed surprised we came so late even when I told them that when I reserved my site online. We did get full hook up so that was nice.

I know they have recently been bought out. A few changes, no longer garage pickup or clean towels. That's not such a big deal but no coffee maker in the cabin and in all the years in the past: the security-cleaning deposit was given back into your account. Was informed today( after I had to call) that that was now included in your stay. That should have been made clear up front upon booking. We make it a diligent habit of thoroughly cleaning our cabin before we leave. Between no coffee maker and the other little perks, we were short changed in our stay this year. I have always taken your business cards and also word of mouth to promote this resort but I now have to think twice. Just not the same as before.

Everyone was crammed right next to each other, which meant no privacy. There was no shade. No wash houses. A lot of them only allowed 1 car and they also charged a huge amount of money for an extra utility trailer. Here at Big Fish Rv we all have a yard with grass. There's beautiful trees as you drive into the driveway here. The entrance has wood fences on each side with solar lights on each post. It's Very welcoming and pleasant. There are storage sheds here too for our overflow etc. very convenient. We each have concrete patios. I have two. we are all spaced apart a good distance for privacy. The grass is thick and plush and has no stickers. There is three beautiful ponds all stocked with fish that we can fish for. There's room for two vehicles at each site. The managers here Jeff and Laurie are fabulous. They are both professional and are super nice. They keep this park immaculate. Jeff mows the grass and does all the edging on a regular basis. He also keeps the trees trimmed. Laurie weeds every patio and site. They keep the mosquito's and ants under control too which is a welcome relief. The wash house is great! Good prices and very clean. We each have a mailbox's at our sites which is very convenient. Free WiFi. There are beautiful trails to hike here too. Big Fish Rv is located between Aransas Pass and Rockport on Highway 35 which is an Excellent location. Its nice and quiet here too. To top it all off the price per site is nothing short of AMAZING. If you want privacy, a manicured yard, peace and quiet this is the place. I planned on staying a month max. I have been here 9 months now. I feel so safe and comfortable here. A home away from home. The best part, they aren't upfront on the price and you pay upfront then they hit your card again after you leave and when asked say they don't give out bills to show what they are charging you for. We paid for the spot knowing there would be electric billed after the stay. When we got ready to leave we spoke to the park host who said they would email us a bill. We left. They proceeded to charge our card another $570 and a 4% fee for eletric and spot fees. We paid for the spot upfront. When asked for an itemized statement " we don't do that ". If you want surprise fees and nightly fights and cops this is the place for you !!
