Then halfway through my manicure, they asked me to move to a different station because they had 3 people who wanted to sit in 3 adjacent seats. I thought maybe these 3 were walk-in clients, but no -- they were booked in. Strange that the employees couldn't plan ahead so that I didn't have to move half-way through my service. I didn't stay to let my nails dry completely (some drying drops would have been helpful) because the place was cold and uncomfortable. The manicurist seemed very nice but she didn't speak English, so we couldn't communicate. The place also didn't seem very clean. The manicure table was either dirty or very stained, and the bins containing the tools didn't look like they were ever washed. Only the kind manicurist saved this from being a one-star review.

My critiques of the salon are, first, that there are many uncomfortable areas to sit in for pedicures. This should be fixed with the input of your customers. Also, I'm surprised that during the pandemic's forced shutdowns/slow-downs the bathroom on the main floor was not updated with better plumbing, but especially, faucets, so that one can wash up without touching them (or with hospital style lever faucets that permit operation with one's arm or elbow). Right now, though the soap and towel dispensers are touchless, the faucets (and light switch, for that matter) is not. I know the pandemic will be under control sooner than later, but this investment in hygiene will go a long way to a healthy staff and customers (fewer colds, flu etc.) and also update the bathroom space. Once I got in the room the lovely aesthetician was going over pre care (didn't get any instructions) and apparently I couldn't use retinol for a week leading up to the appointment (used it the night before). i will not be re-scheduling. won't let me give zero stars.
