Estilo Jalisco is an excellent spot if you're looking for authentic Mexican food. The interior is wide open and spacious, complimented with a few tvs at the bar, and some light music. We were helped right away upon entering the restaurant. While we ordered to-go, it didn't take away from the fresh ingredients and filly meal. I ordered the pastor quesadilla with a side of chips and guacamole. The quesadilla was served with a side of salsa, lime, and radishes. The meat inside was fresh and super tender! The guacamole was so fresh and delicious I wished I had more! If you're in the South Omaha area, definitely check out Estilo Jalisco, you won't be disappointed! read more

My friends and I ordered the birria pizza with fries a couple days ago for dinner and it was really good. We ordered carry out online and it was ready in about 20 minutes, which was pretty fast. When we picked it up, we asked for a bag for the cup of juice and they put it in a bag and tied it up super tight so it wouldn't leak, which was much appreciated. The Birria pizza itself was really good. So much meat. The fries weren't that great. Barely cooked and kind of soggy. Not sure if 15 minutes in the closed birria pizza box would do that but either way. Even though the Birria Pizza/fries was $40, you get a lot of food. All in all, the birria pizza was so good. I would definitely get that again. read more

I was craving some Birria and came across this restaurant. Service was excellent, my husband and I were seated and served right away. Price was pretty good for the amount of food you get. The food was delicious. They did not skimp out on the meat like most places. I definitely recommend coming here if you want your cravings satisfied. read more

The rice served with my meal was completely dried out, hard, and clumpy. After I pointed it out to the waitress, they brought me some new rice along with the beans that they had forgotten to put on the plate earlier. But since there was some rice under the rest of my food it was extremely unpleasant to eat. And honestly, if they serve something that was so obviously not good - it really makes me wonder what else they consider to be ok in the kitchen. The staff was super nice so I hate to give the place a bad review, but you go to a restaurant to eat. I just can't understand why they would have even served that. read more

been here twice with friends. the food is authentic so I would recommend if you like real authentic Mexican food. The staff is pretty friendly and always a younger person behind the counter. The restaurant has been clean everytime I have went. random people have came in to try and sell items to me while I'm eating which could annoying. food mediocre but then again I am a picky eater. read more

We happened upon Estilo Jalisco when looking for authentic Mexican food. This restaurant is my new favorite! Kind, knowledgeable and attentive staff. We had the Birria tacos which were excellent. They give you a dipping sauce for the tacos and fresh lime which added a little extra to an already super shredded beef double shell taco! Guacamole was fresh and flavorful as well. Yummy yummy yummy. Called in a pick up order on a Saturday around 5:30, pick up wait was about 25 minutes which is perfect for us with a 20 minute drive and it was ready by the time we arrived. The Birria Pizza was phenomenal. Wow. The limes, the sauces all went with it so nicely. The meat was so tender & juicy and so much cheese. Wow. $24 for 4 people and we still had 2 leftover slices for the next day. I can't recommend this enough. Next time we definitely want to dine in & try something new! This place set a new standard for us when it comes to Mexican food. The experience begins with the chips and salsa...it isn't salsa at all. They serve an amazing bean and chorizo dip instead of a bowl of salsa. They do have salsa in bottles, but the dip is so amazing. The birria tacos were incredible. All the food was excellent. The reviews were good so we stopped by. We were served cold chips and watched every table but us get salsa with their chips. Margaritas were so bad we couldn't even drink them. I got the fajitas and had to ask for tortillas.. I guess I was just supposed to eat the extra chewy steak and peppers?? My friend was served ice cold beans that tasted like nothing with their meal. Trash AF! Should've known when I walked in at 5PM on a weeknight and was literally the only customer in there. My high school cafeteria made a better torta than these chumps. Carne asada was harder than a rock and flavorless. $20 too for that monstrosity. Better luck going to Abelardo's. read more

Down in South O, you can expect authentic Mexican here. I would remember to bring cash when you go, sometimes they only accept cash. The customer service is great and they work hard to make sure you're a happy customer. The food is delicious and great portions(more than enough) and they usually have a great special of the day! It was two tortadas for $5. I couldn't even finish both of them, what a steal! read more

I've had better service experiences here with dine in (quick! good!) vs take out (had to wait once arriving), but never any issue with the food itself. The most popular dish here is the tacos de birria, which are birria tacos stuffed with the slow cooked juicy meat, onions, cheese and cilantro then griddle fried to create a crispy outer shell. It's then served with the consome the birria meat was cooked in- mexican dip perfection. As for other dishes on the menu I have tried, no better than the place next door for my taste. It's the birria tacos that keep me coming back for more! read more

First the positive:. The staff couldn't have been more friendly. Lunch was served quickly and the inside of the restaurant was clean and we'll maintained. Things I didn't enjoy. The canopy over the entrance was mostly hanging by one corner. The sidewalk was cratered and decorative tiles were missing. This was especially trolling for my elderly lunch buddy. The food wasn't what I think of when I think of Mexican restaurants. I had the 4 street tacos for around $11.00. I expected rice and beans and at least one or two appetizers. I didn't see any options on the menu. Four mini tacos wasn't what I was looking for in a Mexican restaurant. read more

Authentic food like you would find on the streets of México. I ordered the 4 tacos de birria for $10 with a side of consomé. I also ordered agua de Jamaica which is made with the real flower not powder like some places. I have been here twice and both times the food came out quickly, service was super friendly, and food was delicious. Not the BEST tacos i've had but they're closer than most places in Omaha! Terrible! The service was mediocre. There were 7 in our party and they brought out 1 plate at a time. With several minutes in between. Had to ask for the accompaniments that came with fajitas. My steak fajitas meat was so tough I literally never swallowed a piece and ended up leaving a full plate. No one in our party finished their meal. No one ever came to check on us. The room was not busy.... 3 or 4 other tables. Absolutely would not recommend this place. read more

Wife and I tried tonight for first time. For a Fri eve, not too crowded. First up, dish of beans and sauce w/chips. OMG. Beans were delish. Green sauce...OK, Red sauce....OK.....RED sauce....Wow! Best birria tacos I've ever had. Had been recommended to this place by a few friends and finally went to check it out. Of course, I got the birria tacos. 4 tacos for $10?! Holy cow what a good price! I was so so impressed. The tacos were large, crispy, and full of flavorful fillings. The consume for dipping was so good oh my gosh. I couldn't even finish all 4 and brought home half for my boyfriend, even after getting cold they were top notch tacos. The staff was so friendly, they were slammed when we got there and by the looks of it a little short staffed - yet everyone still had such a great attitude. This place was hands down amazing. Our waiter was super friendly. When we sat down we were given some chips and 2 choices of salsas. Red was super spicy but addicting. Absolutely enjoyed our dinner here! We shared the birria pizza It was sooo delicious! The complimentary chips and bean dip were yummy while we waited for our meal, which was a short wait on a Saturday evening :) To drink we had aguas de Jamaica, delicious and refreshing. The restaurant had a very friendly atmosphere from the moment we entered. Many staff members checked on us through our meal and made sure we had everything we needed, amazing service! The Restaurant just started charging for the consome instead of giving out for free like they used too. The quesabirria tacos aren't good without it. So if you get the quesabirria tacos buy the consome, they charge $2 for it now. read more

Phenomenal doesn't even begging to describe this wonderful place! Let me start with the atmosphere: it is warm, inviting, friendly, clean and comfortable. The service was friendly and extremely attentive, especially our waiter! He was so sweet and wonderful. Now the food: we ordered two large horchata, a Birria pizza and 4 Queso Birria tacos. The prices are very affordable and the quality AND quantity are plentiful and of the highest degree. The meat was tender, the consume was savory and dare say drinkable. The horchata was sweet and creamy and puts out the fiery fresh salsa. Oh, the chips and dip that comes with it? Holy God is was so delicious! The chips are fresh fried and you know it's home done when some of the chips stick together! Also the dip that came with it was nice and hot and coated the chips so perfectly that they can totally be a meal on their own. If you're craving Mexican food made with love and care, this is your place. It's way better than some places I've went to when I lived in California and that says a lot. read more

I also got a side of refried beans which I liked a lot because it also seemed to be cooked to perfection. Located at Q & 24, there is a small parking lot behind the restaurant. Pro Tip, you order with your wait staff at the table, and they give you a check number. When you are ready to leave, take your check number to the front desk. This is really efficient, so you can settle your bill on your own time, and not have to wait for the wait staff to bring your bill, run your cash or card, wait some more ... I like this business model for fast casual dining. I've started my 24 Ave S food tour starting at Q and ending up at Cuming. I am looking at non-chain places to eat. I am convinced 24 Ave S is one of the most delicious streets in all of Omaha.
