The restaurant is called Les Amis. The people come because the owner, Tony, is such a great guy and the food is amazing. Also Tony gives you so much of it. The bread is baked fresh everyday and the juice mixes are amazing. He did a juice I called the Tony special where he used a little bit of everything today. I had The Omelette which I guess was Greek style that was so much food and so amazing that I'm going to have to skip lunch today. He gave me a piece of cheesecake to top it off too. We found this little spot via Yelp and the great reviews (and because we really wanted a good sandwich!). The place is tucked away down a side street but this is nice because you can sit outside without being overwhelmed by the busy main Street. I ordered a baguette which you can custom order choosing from a select range of ingredients (lots of options) including salmon, tuna, meats, cheeses, salad etc. I had serano ham, cheese (can't remember which type), mustard, spinach, tomato and cucumber on a white baguette. Very fresh ingredients and was served quickly! I also ordered a smoothie of which there a few to choose from including a variety of fruits and vegetables. Again, all fresh and full of vitamins! We almost missed this place but noticed it on walk back to our Airbnb from the beach. We stopped in for Togo sandwiches not knowing what to expect and we got a recommendation from the man in charge on the best versions of our sandwich creations (you select ingredients on a paper to submit your order! Brilliantly done). And then the sandwiches are amazing! Our only regret was that our first visit was on our second to last day! Next year , we will stop on the regular!! This little shop was only a few steps from our condo so we passed it at least once a day. After popping in for a juice and some sandwiches on our second day in Playa it became a regular stop. Their fresh juices are delicious - we had the energetico and antiestrese. We also had a few varieties of their delicious 'home-made in front of you' sandwiches. We stopped early one morning to pack a bunch of their sandwiches for a day trip and took a large juice for the shuttle ride. My daughter couldn't get enough of their antiestrese juice! This place has a really great selection of sandwiches. The Serrano ham was some of the best I've ever had, and their selection of cheeses was phenomenal. The bread is made fresh daily, and they have a variety of fresh juices and smoothies. We ate Mexican food for the first few days while in playa, and the sandwiches were a refreshing change. They were inexpensive at approximately $4.50 a sandwich, and were better than any sandwich chain available in the US that we've had. Highly recommended. read more

We had a few smoothies and all of them were fantastic. We also had a banana and Nutella crepe that was superb. The croissants were the best I have ever had. The owner, Bruno, was funny and hospitable and welcomed our two kids. He is responsible for be La Maya Bola project and these are great ball keychain that they sell at the store.
