For starters, she was the first stylist I've gone to in my life -- and I'm in my 60s -- who knew how to properly cut curly hair! She really examines your hair and curl patterns to optimize your cut. She educates about her process and products so that you can easily replicate the look at home. Now, instead of pulling and straightening and damaging my hair for a half hour, I can very often just walk out the door with little to any time spent on my hair!! A half hour gained nearly every day! Shortly after meeting Andy, I also set aside my boxed hair dye and started having my hair dyed with FUN colors: a purple and blue based "galaxy" mix. I get constant compliments from strangers. It's rare not to get *multiple* compliments a day. I went from being an invisible older woman to being approached all the time! It's the darndest thing! And remember -- my hair is the healthiest it's ever been, despite bleaching and dyeing regularly! Yes, I could go to Ulta and buy some bleach and several dyes and try to DIY this. But I would not get these amazing results. It's the old joke about the guy brought out of retirement to fix a broken machine. He submits his bill: 1. Adding screw: $1 2. Knowing where to put it: $10,000 It's easy to raise an eyebrow over the cost of haircare. It's viewed as a luxury.
