I actually showed the Groupon on my cell phone to the lady. I was asked to wait because she was waiting for a customer to arrive who needed a hair cut. About 10 minutes later, he arrived. I found the way she spoke to her customer very uncomfortable. She was trying to be funny, but I felt she was very rude and putting him down. He apparently has been a customer with her for years. Finally, it was my time (another 10 minutes later) and she took me to the back room where mani/pedi's are done. Another customer came in to have a pedicure - he ate his lunch and brought his dog into the shop. Disgusting to have food and a dog in a beauty salon. The manicure was okay (I've had better) and upon checking out, I again showed her my Groupon and she said that it wasn't her store. I had to go out to my car and get the cash the manicure. She spoke English as she was communicating with me and other customers. So it wasn't a language barrier - she is VERY DISHONEST and I will not be returning or recommending.

At the end of the facial, Christine, who was the tech at the time stated if I become a "member" of their program, I'd get 3 months of facials for $450.. At the time i thought that was a great offer and enrolled immediately and received a certificate and signed a paper. Fast forward a couple months, I get a call from Hoai June 11th stating she needed money to get this location going, so she told me about this crazy good deal where if I paid $500 upfront, I'd get another 6 mo (instead of the usual 3 months). Hoai charged my card but I never signed anything nor did I get a Contract or certificate. She also never once mentioned to me the Fountain Valley location would close and she'd eventually only have clients get facials at this location only. I also noticed during this time I wasn't getting all the services I was advertised with in the beginning when I first enrolled and it was due to one of the machines breaking and her taking the other machines to this location.. meaning her clients at Fountain Valley wasn't getting what they signed up for. I had ask her to return my 2nd membership a month ago (she never mentioned to me eventually I wouldn't be able to be seen at Fountain Valley) and she said it would take about 2 weeks. A month later I'm texting her to schedule my remainder facials I have left from my FIRST membership, and that's when she finally texts a picture of this location and confirmed my appt time and to go here cause Fountain Valley closed. I told her it's too far (I'm from Long Beach) and I'd like my refund immediately due to her not mentioning anything about this new location. Hoai once again tells me she can't refund and that it's stated in the contract (I never signed a 2nd one and when I ask her for the copy of the "contract" she doesn't reply). Hoai also stated I can no longer finish my remainder facials from my FIRST membership and even called me insane! Just because I'm asking for a refund on the 2nd membership doesn't mean she can take back her words of stating I can still finish off the remainder of my first membership.. She didn't even offer credit for the remaining facials either and stated shed try to charge me for harassment with her attorney if I continued to text her when I was only trying to finish my remaining facials and was trying to clarify she wouldn't honor the rest anymore. Please please do yourself a favor and know what kind of business you're dealing with and the customer service Hoai provides to her clients for her facial membership program. For those of you who still decides to pay the lump-sum money upfront first and are "promised" an X amount of facials, please at least have something in writing regarding when you schedule your appts (even cancellations or reschedules) and also if she offers "free facials" or "credit" for a mishap or referring someone, please also have it written in some paper or text form.. Hoai is horrible at keeping track of how many facials clients have had, and also forgets when she tells you she's giving you a "bonus" or "free" one. I didn't think it'd have to come to this, but I'm so glad most of our conversations were thru text for me to prove what I'm saying. I mentioned to Hoai I would write a review share my experience and she even threaten to sue me for "defamation of her business".

I was surprised to find out that Julie's prices are not much different than the Groupon prices. I have very fine curly/frizzy hair that needed to be tamed. I had the Brazilian Blowout done on my hair and it turned out amazing! I've had the Brazilian blowout done once before and it looked no where near as nice as it does now. She uses all of the original Brazilian blowout products, and not some cheap after market stuff. All and all, her service is excellent, her prices are great and she is really sociable and a very nice person.
