I only recently got back into getting my nails done so was on the hunt for something near my house. We had an outing on Saturday so I wanted to get it done Friday after work. A quick call to the salon and the person confirm me at 5:30. At arrival, I did have to wait a little longer. They were busy!! The vibe was buzzing and rambunctious. Customers and artists just laughing if up. I soon realized that they paid so much attention to detail and wanted their customers to be completely satisfied that if someone needed an adjustment, they'd fix it on the spot. Nevertheless, they were extremely apologetic and my assigned person actually got one of her coworkers to get started on me while she finished her previous customer. I was there for a gel manicure. My nails were mostly long but my two index fingers were shortened because I broke them. It was suggested that if I wanted to maintain length that I "patch" my broken nails with gel-x extension which was what I was hoping for. What I also appreciated was that they had someone else who was more familiar with gel-x come over and put on the two for me versus my person just doing it herself. My friend and I have been coming here for almost a year now. I found them on Yelp! When I was looking for a nail salon close to our area. I was curious about this new nail spot so we decided to check it out and have been coming ever since. Prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly! Sometimes my toes are cut super short and nails are not perfectly painted but you can't tell unless you look really close. Of course hubby always notices it when I get some design. Overall, this is our to go spot. I haven't gone anywhere in the area other than this place. Love that they have a points card Tip is cash only so make sure to bring cash! I recommend making an appointment because they could get busy. read more

Great work. Beautiful work even and good quality . The issue is that the workers were talking complete trash on me in their language thinking I wouldn't know. People need to know that we have technology now we can use to translate . They were talking shit on me right in front of me in their language . The nail ladys here are very kind, and the salon is nice and relaxing, although, lately everytime I've done my nails here they have peeled/chipped. I don't know if the nail polish brand isn't a good quality one or of the polish is just old. Got a $75 gift certificate for this location from my husband and it took me a while to get in. When I went to pay they said the gift certificate was too old and had expired. I showed her that Gift certificates in the state of California are protected against expiration dates. She still refused to take it as a form of payment. read more

Run. Don't waste your time here. They do not properly wash their tools and gave me a nasty and painful toe infection. Some of the nail techs are very inexperienced and couldn't complete a gel manicure correctly. I spent 3 hours just to get a gel manicure done because the first nail tech kept messing up. When asking the first nail to correct my nails due to bumpiness, bubbles, and Cotten stuck to my nails, she would pinch my fingers extremely hard and give me attitude because her next customer was waiting. Getting my nails done is treat for myself and relaxation time but this experience was definitely not it. read more

This is my go to nail place. It's a hidden gem. Tracy does my nails and always takes her time to make them beautiful. I get the acrylic dip and my nails last weeks without any breaks or lifting. The salon is clean, friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. They take time to understand what I want, and take care to make sure I'm happy. I drive from Irvine to go here since it's hard to find a good quality nail salon that doesn't charge outrageous prices. Highly recommend!! read more

I've been in search of a nail salon to go to regularly and came across this salon on yelp. I always get a simple nude gel manicure but decided to try out hard gel because I heard they last longer. In my experience, gel manicures take around 1 to 1.5 hours. My appointment only took 40 minutes to do hard gel nails... I think that already speaks volume to how rushed it was. They didn't even prep my nails; they went straight into applying the hard gel. I asked them if they could shape/file my nails BEFORE applying the gel but she said she'll do it after. She didn't even cut/clean my cuticles. The result of it reflects the effort that was put into it. The gel is overflowing onto my cuticles, which makes it look really messy. The shape of my nails are all uneven. Not to mention the application is all bulky and thick due to not properly filing them down afterwards. Save your money & time and go elsewhere. Now I have to spend extra money to go get them fixed. read more

I absolutely LOVE this nail spa. The ladies are sweet and AMAZING AT WHAT THEY DO! They can do any design you ask them to, flawlessly! I've never left disappointed. I love that they take walk-ins because I hate making appointments. The wait is never long either! Prices are good. Covid is still a thing so everyone wears masks and there is hand sanitizer. I've been going to this nail salon for two years now, and they are amazing! From acrylic to dip to gel, I've done it all, and they never disappoint. For the ladies with thinner nails that break, strong/hard gel is your best friend. My nails ALWAYS chip with regular gel, but with hard gel they stay so strong and never break-- the only reason I need to get them done again is because they're grown out. Sugar coat can be a little hard to find because they don't yet have their sign up. It reads "Nails & Spa" only I love this location because they delivered the exact design I wanted. My daughter and I got our pedicures and I got gel builder. The gel builder they used was the next I have seen. It was completely clear and left my nails looking gorgeous before polish. I'm tempted to just get a clear polish next time because my long nails with just the gel looked strong and healthy. Very pretty This is most affordable location I've found - between Irvine, Mission Viejo and Foothill Ranch. I love the prices and everyone here was very kind. read more

The ladies at Sugar Coat treated us well. They were quite patient when we picked out all the colors that we wanted. We showed them the samples from Pinterest and they helped us to find the right shades. They were very fast finishing 3 manicures and 2 pedicures from our party, and we were all happy with the results. The facility feels new and clean, no complaints there. Finally! A nail salon close to home that I love! I made a same day appointment and they were able to accommodate me. When I arrived, I was greeted and sat down right away as well! They have super comfortable massage chairs...I caught myself dozing off a couple of times. Their pedicures are super reasonably priced and even came with a 5 minute massage that truly felt amazing! I liked that the pedicure was quick and I was in an out within 40 minutes. Be sure to bring cash for tip and also ask for their punch card if you plan on returning! read more

I had been trying to find a good nail place for about 2 years and every place I tried I would have an issue with my dip nails coming off at least one finger in 1-2 weeks. I finally got around to trying Sugar Coat Nails. I explained how my dip nails would come off so easily. They recommended I try "Strong Gel". I am so happy with the results. I waited to write this review until I had been multiple times to confirm that the service was consistently good. I highly recommend the "Strong Gel" and Sugar Coat Nails. Beautiful work done by Tracy! She took her time doing my nails & made sure the shape/color was exactly what I wanted. I absolutely love this nail spa & all the workers here are so sweet. They accommodate to your needs very well & made sure to have everything clean before working on me. I think I've found my new favorite spot! Im a regular here. Tracy does my gel manicures and Michelle does my pedicures. I find the pricing to be fair/average. The salon is clean. They do not hurt/cut me, like some nail techs do. They offer a stamp card, which I love - Gives you incentive to come back regularly. Overall I'm happy here. My nails look good and they always make time to fit me in. Other salons I have been to keep me waiting 15-30 min past my appt time, which I dont appreciate. I like supporting places that value my time, do quality work, and dont nickle and dime me. Wow, 19 days after my gel manicure and it still looks amazing! No peeling at all. See maroon nails photo. Ask for the hard gel! My nails used to be brittle, but not anymore. Second time here and I've finally found my nail salon. It's been a long time coming, and you are hard pressed to find a salon in this area that excels at shaping and execution this well. I haven't had to wait longer than 5 minutes or so when I've booked an appt. Obviously, book an appt whenever possible. Kristine and Tracy have both done my nails at this point, and I've loved them both times. I'm picky. The last salon I went to made me bleed and cut me four times (I wish I was exaggerating). Not even a light file burn at this salon which is pretty shocking to me. Anyway, I almost don't want to post this because I want to keep it a secret, but they're great women and deserve all the good business they can get. Ps-kids mani/pedi's are only $10. I have a work event so needed to get black nails done with gold and silver to match my outfit. Tricia did An amazing job as you can see from the picture. After getting my pedicure done my foot was hurting from having to be rested on that area for over an hour at an angle. I am contemplating coming here again just due to that, most chairs have a cushion where you lay your feet and although it a small detail it is uncomfortable for the client. Other than that everything else was great and the techs are very nice just wanted to give some feedback. Ty!

At that point, they should have honored the $29 that I thought it was going to be with a caveat that I would have to pay $35 next time. But no such offer was given. I felt like this was false advertising and I have to call them out on this. Furthermore, this had to have been the worst pedicure I have ever gotten. I could have done a better job painting my own toenails which I think I'm going to do from now on instead of paying $35 for some whack job sloppy work. The photo I posted of my big toenails shows the horrible paint job. Granted, I took this photo 1.5 weeks after I got the pedicure, but the sloppy paint job is exactly what it looked like when it was freshly painted (minus the growth from the cuticle area). I can't believe I paid $6 more for the worst pedicure of my life. Sorry, Polish Nail Spa, I will not be coming back.

We moved to the area a few months ago and my daughters and I were looking for a new nail salon. My eldest daughter went here for a gel manicure and recommended I give it a try. Looking for a bit of pampering, I asked for a deluxe pedicure with gel polish and a full set. After seeing another client get ombré nails, I asked for a similar look but with color. Kristine did NOT disappoint. I ended up with an ombré dip as it was the best option for the length of my natural nails (I didn't want my nails longer). Kristine did an amazing job blending the purple into the medium pink to keep the look on shorter nails. My deluxe pedicure did not disappoint either. The same purple dip on my nails came in a gel polish to match. I did have to wait a bit past my appointment time as they were very busy, but they were quick to apologize and worth the wait. Where do I start. This place accepts tips in cash only. if you don't have cash they will give you an evil eye. yes its written that they accept only cash for tips, but w hat if you don't. That's not how anyone should be treated. I chose medi and pedi spa. they did not scrub my feet well. their nail paints are low quality it chips off in 3 days. it makes me so so sad to write this review because i was originally a ginormous fan of "the nail…read moreboutique," but after the service i received last week, i feel that i have to say something. last friday i had an appointment to get my prom nails done at 2:30 PM. when i arrived, i waited for over 45 minutes to receive my service. i was never offered water or anything (which honestly isn't a big deal but i just felt it was worth mentioning) but was also never really acknowledged. i almost felt like they forgot about my appointment. when my service finally began, i showed my nail tech my inspiration picture and she was confident and excited to recreate my vision. however, what i left the salon with is far from what i asked for. i left with a flower that is sloppy, none of the petals connect, and that has a big red circle with black lines, which is nothing like what i asked for. beyond that, i felt like my french tips were somewhat rushed and a bit sloppy. i don't expect perfection by any any any means, but i just generally felt neglected as a customer and a bit rushed once my service began. beyond this, by the time monday came, which was 3 days after my initial appointment, one of my nails had fallen off. this was a full acrylic set that i paid over 93 dollars for, and less than 5 days later, they were already falling off of my fingers. again, i feel really bad writing this because i dont want to tarnish their reputation or make them seem like a terrible buisness, but im just really unsatisfied and upset with the service i received, and really frustrated that i spent close to 100 dollars for a service that does not meet my expectations. i know that 100 might not be a lot, but im still a teenager in high school, and i work really hard at my job to make that money, so losing that much of my money is just hard. i just would advise that if you go here, you definetly keep your designs simple, and make sure to go at a time when you know they won't be busy so that your appointment is not rushed.
