I have had adult cystic acne all of my 20s continuing into my 30s. I had tried every over the counter/ prescription acne product out there. Had seen estheticians for peels, facials, dermatologist, and even allergist. I have been on antibiotics, and OCPs countless of times. Nothing helped heal my cystic acne for more than a couple months. Acutane was the only medication left for me to try. Being a medical professional myself I was always reluctant to try such a teratogenic toxic dose of vit A. May 2021 I googled "facials near me" and ethereal spa popped up. I went to see her and told her I have sensitive skin and I don't wear sunscreen because I'm allergic to SPF. She gave me a facial that changed my skin forever. All my life I thought I had super sensitive skin because I would react to everything I used was because those products were not helpful but damaging to the skin barrier. 31 years on earth, and I've never gotten a facial. I decided that I was going to invest in myself and take care of my skin because I deserve it! I have never been 100% happy with my skin, while my skin has never been awful, I would still get insecure about my acne scarring and the overall size of my pores. I've tired multiple products and found that they just dry out my skin and were ultimately money down the drain! I have been going with Hilda for about 3 months and have noticed major changes on my skin. I have been suffering with cystic acne for the past 2-3 years. It was getting to the point where I went with a dermatologist because the acne was bringing down my self esteem. I visited 2 different dermatologist and all they wanted me to do was to take antibiotics and use benzoyl peroxide. First off, Hilda saw my skin and knew I needed help but I had no idea how off my skin routine was until she started educating me.
