Certain charges shown on their iPad did not match the work that was actually done, and when we asked for clarification, we did not receive an honest response. We found that invoices were altered after the fact, with hidden or unexplained charges added. Moreover, after agreeing to work, we realized that the owner and staff did not obtain the required permits for some of the work, and the company acted like that is not an issue. The company has had good reviews, which we used to select them, but we now know that they are starting to go bad and are finding ways to take advantage of hardworking people. They talked about reviews all of the time, and we now know that they push people to write good reviews. Look more closely and beware because they will seduce you with smiles and tons of details on invoices. Make sure that they follow the rules, check everything, and verify that all required permits are properly filed before work begins. Be careful of the salespeople that they use to push you to take your money and break the law. This is not acceptable in our small town or even in our country.

Now understand I didn't need new pipes new plumbing or anything just the part that would attach my water line to the new refrigerator. The guy told me I needed new plumbing because the plumber who use to do my work was old and didn't know what he had done.( He asked me about how old the plumber was. ) I was quoted a price of $3000. The plumber I had was a master plumber and well respected but he died during Covid. Well, today my son bought the part the water line needed for $14. I may be old but I'm not stupid.

They refused to accept payment because they never set foot in my house, just helped me over the phone, and that is an amazing and wonderful thing nowadays. I can't thank Ron and Bob enough! I received estimates for as much as $13,000 being told I also needed a new return and air conditioner. V and L is a family owned business. When they came out they suggested the best way to go was a new furnace and humidifier but that nothing else was needed. They arrived early for both appointments. They took the time to explain my options and choices - not trying to up-sell. They were able to do the installation first thing the next morning rather than me having to wait until I could "get an appointment". By noon the next day I had a new, safe furnace and a working humidifier. They explained everythIng thoroughly and answered all of my questions. They even told me the most economical filters to use! They cleaned up everything and took the old furnace and humidifier away so I did not have to keep it in my garage and lug it to the curb on trash day. He was saying " I am too old for this" He did not know what to do. I guided him as I have seen it done before. He had no clue what to do. He was going to install the wrong pump size until I told him it is the wrong one. He blamed the supplier. and more cursing, of course he was lying. He wanted to rip me off by installing a cheaper pump without me knowing. He is too loud. He does not stop saying the F **K word To get the right pump it was taking over 2 hours. I found a place near by to get it in 5 minutes but he got mad because he is making $1000 just off the pump itself. So either I get his overpriced pump of he is going to leave. The worst technician I have seen.
