My sweet pup loves Dr. Jodi and the staff at Eugene Animal Hospital! They have been very accommodating - getting in on very short notice on a few occasions when I was particularly worried about my boy. The staff at the front desk light up when they see us walk in - you can tell everyone who works here has a true love of animals. Dr. Wiktorowski is amazing. I called all the vets in Eugene looking for someone to examine my guinea pig, who had a tumor that in six months became very large. I came in expecting to euthanize him when Dr. Wiktorowski explained the option of surgery. I decided to go for it. I have never met such a compassionate doctor, who genuinely cares about the animals she examines... even a guinea pig. I will use her for all my fur babies and highly recommend her. Vets can be as bad as mechanics when it comes to nickle and diming you. There prices are reasonable and this vet deserves all the recognition yelp has to offer. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a vet in 30 years of being a pet owner. Brought in my cat, my dearest friend in the whole world, because he began wetting without bladder control it seemed. He was 15 years old but had been super healthy. Didn't get see a doctor; ...a "Dr" Maddox, tech used the ultra-sound and said he thought he saw or felt a lump on his kidney, but then told me he was not really authorized to use ultra sound and was not authorized to make diagnosis, but that he had used it enough that he told me he was experienced. Then he told me to go home and bring in a clean urine sample the next day which I set up and did, and was promptly told they could not use anything from home because it might be contaminated.( I received during the few days dealing with them so much conflicting information I didn't know if we were coming or going), and not not one suggestion to help or console. Alternative: bring cat in 1st thing in morning before he pees. I said how do I do that? Should I tell Sput to hold it?!! Alternative 2: keep the cat in a cold lonely cage all day until he peed. Alternative 3: referred to a surgeon which is the only suggestion they had for me, but he would have to look one up and get back to me and would probably be the best choice, but was told it would cost me around $2000 dollars to get an official ultra sound and probably remove the "lump" which might not be successful. Oh. Yes. They did clip his toes nails the 1st day for $12.00. That night, Sput`s belly was all red and hot (burned?) from where the ultrasound was done. They did not suggest any medications, procedures or options to see if something might work. They made me feel like my precious cat was not really worth the bother. I was already feeling bad, because I knew I had a limited budget. No one suggested working with me around this issue either. So I made the decision to put him down. We were put in a small closet sized room which was obviously the euthanizing room. It was austere, lacking any warmth,no windows, only four white walls and that cold sense and smell of fear &of death. We waited for 45minutes for the doctor to finally come in. By then we were both frantic. They were almost hostile when she(the official doctor)of which I had never even met did come in telling me she was doing a surgery. I had made this appointment and felt this was the most important milestones in my life. Every 15 minutes or so I would open the door and ask what was taking so long, and I could see they were getting irritated with me. She finally came in, all procedure, zipped in and out. I didn't even really know what was happening and my best friend in the world was gone. I ran out of there in tears of grief and loss in shock, to take Sput home to bury him in the back yard. The incompetence, insensitivity and complete lack of compassion is something I could have never imagined. The cruelest cut of all: A few minutes after leaving the office, my cell rang and when I answered it, it was the vet office, telling me I forgot to pay for part of this final visit and they wanted their money. Great customer and family member(my cats haha) service. We had two neuters scheduled and I asked at the intake if they could do something extra. My cats tooth was a tad too long and causing an abrasion on his upper gum. We discussed the options and came up with the idea since it was a fully healthy tooth to shave it down slightly. Since the k9 can literally be cut and still not effect anything the light shaving saved my baby from having to lose his healthy tooth and his abrasion that he has had for months has healed in 3 days. I am thrilled with this office and will not be going anywhere else. They truly care about doing what is best for each individual patient. They take it case by case. I would recommend them for anything from a routine check up, dental, to surgery. Thank you for getting my babies through that. Plus!!! They updated me within minute of them being done with surgery and if you have ever sat by your phone waiting you know every minute you are grateful for!! Thank you!! read more

My family has been using EAH for more than 30 years, and through the lives of all our small animals during that time (Not the horses). There has been change in the providers over the years but the quality and continuity of care, the respect by the staff and Vets has never changed. Never is the quality of the people more evident, than when you have lost an animal, which we just did. Their love of animals is so evident and their respect for the owners is truly wonderful. We are so pleased with their care and highly recommend them. I have often thought our animals are better off than most people when it comes to healthcare. read more

This place was awesome! My husband and I adopted a stray kitty.. She was in bad shape and needed some TLC. We got her in there and they were able to diagnose the issue and fixed her right up! All she needed was some shots. She is now a completely different cat! Runs around and plays like crazy. Thank you guys! read more

Had a questionable experience. Our cat, which was microchipped, was brought in from a neighbor who thought it was a stray. Only after giving her shots and taking various tests, was she checked for a microchip. I would think checking for a microchip first on a cat thought to be a stray would be standard practice. read more

Took my cat there for an echocardiogram. Everyone seemed friendly, but when I called for the results the veterinarian seemed to want to only tell me how grim the situation was and would not answer any of my questions. I got a copy of the results and asked them to at least explain the abbreviations to me and whatever info they could give me. They would not even do that.. According to the copy everything was mild except for an atrium. The echo was read by a west coast cardiologist or possibly he was out of country. Contact with him wasn't an option,except via the vet. People shouldn't offer a service if they can't give a few simple answers about it. Out $375, went to two others about aspects of my service cat's problems, too. Altogether spent over a $1000 and still don't know anything. Unlike a doctor's office they all want their money up front. After that good luck getting explanations. And they all seem to want to go for the big money diagnosis Since I first wrote this the office mgr. responded, and I responded to her , but when i tried to edit my response I couldn't, so I deleted it, and was going to write another. However, when I deleted my reply to her, her comment also got deleted. So i am sorry about all of that. I probably made an error as I am old, and not very good on computers. read more
