And I was absolutely not disappointed. The gyro was flavorful, delicious, and exactly what we needed after a night of music. The owner was also incredibly sweet and generous. He surprised us with knafeh on the house, and it was SO yummy! Warm, sweet, creamy, crunchy, just delicious. Such a thoughtful gesture and honestly the perfect ending to an already awesome night. The view is absolutely beautiful! We also loved the music, DJ, and dancer. The whole atmosphere was so much fun and made my birthday celebration very special. It does look like they tried to clean the hookah before giving it to us because the base was filled with soapy water. There were so many bubbles on the surface of the water and each draw of the hookah tasted like dish soap. The worst part was the timing. My hookah was finally made usable only about 20 minutes before closing, so after paying full price I barely had any time to actually enjoy it before the building closed. At that point, I felt like I had paid for an experience I never really received. The rest of the lounge wasn't much better. The TV/music setup had terrible audio quality, the remote batteries were dead, and nobody could skip the advertisements or control what was playing. On the way in, water from the AC above the entrance literally dripped onto my head. The bathroom was also atrocious and badly needed attention. I understand that a new business can have opening-night issues, and I normally give places some grace for that. But if you're charging customers full price, the basic equipment and service need to be ready. Functional hoses, properly filled hookahs, tongs, clean bathrooms, working entertainment equipment, and enough time to actually use what you paid for are pretty fundamental.
