I went in for a basic manicure and pedicure, and unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing. The pedicure was decent, but the manicure was rushed and very poorly done. There was no hand massage, no lotion--just a quick trim and straight to polish. The technician applied at least five thick layers of polish, missing some spots entirely. It was so heavily coated that it never fully dried. Just getting into my car ruined the manicure completely. I went back and they did redo it for free, which I appreciated. However, the second attempt was pretty much the same--still way too thick, uneven, and somehow even stickier. Two hours later, it still wasn't dry and got damaged again with barely any contact. It saddens me to write this, as I used to really enjoy going to this salon over the years. Almost everyone there is so kind and does a great job, however; there is one male manicurist that sits at the front, I believe his name is Ken, that continuously has proven time and time again to take a lack of pride or effort in his work. Today I went in and asked for a "dip manicure" directly to the male manicurist at the front as he was seating me. I showed him a reference photo and he began to work. Towards the end I realised he had not cleaned up around my cuticles or actually done a "manicure" at all, but just the dip polish. (I have had manicurist in the past wait until the end of the polish, to clean up my cuticles by doing a "dry manicure", so I did not think twice about it.) but this did not happen. When I asked him if he was going to do the manicure part he immediately blamed his employees stating "they did not tell me manicure, they just said dip". Correcting him, I stated "I did say dip manicure, I thought that meant a manicure was included". He apologized, grabbed a cold bowl of plain water and dunked (did not soak) my nails in the water and hastily (and sloppily) began trimming my cuticles painfully close. He then stated I was done after rushing through the cuticle trim, and I had to ask him for hand lotion (something usually offered at the end). My nails look terrible and the skin around them is even worse. It took everything in me not to show my disappointment and ask for my money back ($65), as I already felt like a burden for asking him to do a manicure. Normally I would not want to write such a review, but this has happened too many times now to not feel frustrated and I wanted to warn others. . I will try and attach photos if allowed. read more

Went here after not liking my nails having them done at a different salon. Highly exceeded my expectations. Tiffany was my nail tech and did great. She recognized why I didn't like my old nails and really took her time perfecting my nails. She went back and fixed things, made sure I liked them throughout the whole process. This was my first time going to Euphoria nails and I went to Misa who was just wonderful! I always have a hard time finding nail salons that make me feel welcomed and leaving me wanting to come back but this place exceeded my expectation! They have two smaller dogs there who will make sure you're not lonely while getting your nails done and the place was very clean and organized. I had a pretty complicated design and was skeptical about getting it but Misa went above and beyond the reference photo!! Highly recommend this place and I will be coming back!! read more

I think they're great... well.. Ken, Kim and Lana at least.. I say that only because they are the only people I have had appts with. I have taken my young daughter to get manis/pedis (mom/daughter bonding) a few times. I was really impressed about the way they treated my daughter... she's 6. They asked her if she wanted nail art (of course she accepted. Who can turn down butterflies?!?) and they didn't charge me for or it. I had a couple broken nails and they put tips on them for no charge. If I had to say something negative, it would be that they chit chatted amongst themselves in Vietnamese... I always feel like they are talking about me or making fun of me behind my back! However they did engage in conversation with me. I would recommend giving them a try. read more

I read tons of bad reviews so I avoided going here, but my friend said this is her go-to nail salon so I went with her. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was kind and checked in regularly while I was reviewing colors and deciding on a service and helped get me in right away. Walk-ins are accepted and helped quickly. I ended up doing dip nails for the first time, and Kevin, the owner, did a great job. They appeared clean and thorough. I paid $35 for a dip manicure. read more

I had booked my appointment using the online option...come to find out they can't get ownership of the website from the former owner! The first time I went into this nail salon, I was pleased. The tech who worked with me did a nice job, the cost was comparable to other salons, and I decided to try it again, seeing as it is close to home. The second time I went was less pleasant. The nail tech did not agree with the color that I wanted, and although I requested black, she went and got a different color, telling me "No, black is for winter not summer." I thought she was joking at first, and went along with it, but quickly realized she was serious, and had no intention of honoring my choice of color, and had to reiterate it two more times. Also, I prefer to have my nails very short. I expressed this several times, and was told by the same nail tech, "No, your nails are too short already." Finally, to add insult injury, she asked me if I wanted to try a new dip technique. I told her I did not, but before I realized it, she was dipping my nails in the powder. At this point, my intention was to finish the manicure and get out immediately. Seriously? I'm not going to argue with a nail tech! A manicure is a way I pamper myself, yet this experience was stressful, disrespectful, and very rude. I will not be back!!! read more

I went in January 2014 as a treat. First time in 10 years at a nail salon. As a mom, you can imagne the excitment to treat myself! Upon arrival I was seated quickly. Had a full set put on.The only male in there did my nails. As I was sitting in the chair, I noticed food wrappers and plastic soda cups in the dividers... McDonalds burger wrappers and at opening of the store, mcdonalds wasnt serving burgers so obviously these were old. Dirty and dusty. The man mocked and made fun of every woman that came in while I was sitting there! So unprofessional and annoyed customers were coming in! Then, half way done, He FELL ASLEEP doing my nails with the " drill" in his hand which hit the skin on my finger! Also noticed he put a nail on that wasn't straight and acrylic was too thick! Today was my 3rd and last negative experience at Euphoria. I called ahead to ensure I would not wait a long time. I was told they were available immediately and to come on down, which I did. I live only a few minutes away. When I arrived I could see on the sign in sheet that they had accepted 2 mani-pedi customers 2 minutes before I arrived, and so the slot I had asked to reserve had been filled. I decided to wait anyway. It looked like a technician was close to finished. While I waited another customer came in behind me and also waited. She was a walk-in customer. After 20 minutes it was finally my turn, only the technician started on the customer that came in AFTER me instead. When I tried to inquire about it nobody understood English enough to answer me, so I left and I'm currently getting a great pedi at a nicer salon, so it worked out. Once in the past I sat waiting while 2 technicians argued over whose turn it was. And another time I was told it would be a 5 minute wait but it was more like 30. I definitely don't recommend going here! read more

I was skeptical on trying this nail salon after reading the reviews, but with few choices open and a desperate need of some "me" time, I gave it a go. T was my technician and was chatty when I was ready to chat but he did not mind when I just wanted to play on my phone. He did a wonderful job on my pedicure and it was the best I have received in the area. I only gave it 4 stars because the front lobby space looks as though it is going through renovations since there was little to no furniture a dirty carpet. Since there were no signs saying a renovation was happening I cannot say for sure if it was abnormal. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I will be going back in a few weeks. read more

DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE WAX YOU! First of all in the state of Maine if you are a nail technician you are not within the scope of practice to perform waxing services without an additional licensure such as a cosmetologist. My mother was a continuous customer here for mani/pedi services and on her last visit she needed an eyebrow wax. She was burned with the wax and her eyebrows are totally uneven. She was so shocked she didn't know what to do except pay her bill and leave. The next day she went into the salon to speak with the manager to show him that she had been burned and butchered and she did so in a very professional manner and asked if there was an area she could speak to him away from the other clients. He refused at first and she insisted. He brought her into the back space and she lifted her bangs and showed him her eyebrows, he literally through cash at her and strong-armed her through the salon and out the door. My mother happens to have a neurological disorder and does not have great balance, and he was so rough with her he left a mark on her arm where he was shoving her out the door. I told my mother she should file a complaint with the state and they will investigate, but she was too worked up about the whole thing and just wants to forget it. Horrible experience. They have me a second degree burn on the corner or my eye and the guy I spoke to just looked at it and was like but it didn't go in your eye. I told him that shouldn't be a problem because it shouldn't be falling off the stick. He told me next time to close my eyes and I said I did that's why it didn't go in my eye. All he could say was sorry and that next time I should close my eyes. I will never return there, they do not own up to what they did and that angers me and I will be telling everyone to make sure they and their friends never go here and I may have a scar to remind myself to never go here again. read more

I went because I had a gift certificate for my birthday. I get the gel manicures so they last longer and don't chip as easy. It was one of the worst manicures I've ever gotten. First they pulled their utensils such as the cuticle cutters out of their desk drawer, wasn't sanitized or anything, and after they did mine threw them right back in the drawer. My friend actually got such a bad infection from it that she had to go on antibiotics. They rushed through doing my manicure and when I left the salon, there were already two nails that they didn't paint well that the sides were not fully painted. The very next day, two of the gel nails came off! It wasn't even 24 hours before they started falling off. Easily the worst place I have gone to. Not professional, not clean, and not professional. The lady I had was complaining about issues between the nail technicians, I was there as a treat for myself, I didn't want to listen to a worker complain constantly about the drama going on. This is the only place I will ever go to get my brows waxed, AND Jenny is the only one I want doing them! I have had my eyebrows waxed at many different places in Portland and have had them done badly a few times elsewhere (wax was too hot and burned my skin, brows were crooked, etc.). I am not surprised to see all the negative reviews of this establishment. I only wish I read them before my daughter went for an eyebrow wax. Not only was she burned badly but the response of the salon when we went back the next for a refund was appalling. The technicians blamed my daughter for the burn. They refunded the money but never apologized. I would never ever go back and have told all people we know to never go there. No wonder it's always empty! read more

My sister and I stopped in for a pedicure this afternoon. The nail tech was not responsive when I asked a question. At first I assumed that we had a language barrier and I sat back to enjoy my pedicure. At the end I asked for a design on my toes and just requested that he not do flowers. I was very clear. Suddenly, he started speaking rapidly to his co-worker and rolled his eyes. He was completely put out that I requested a design. Then he came over and they were laughing. Clearly pointing at my pedicure either assuming we couldn't understand what they were saying or they didn't care. He started painting flowers on my toes while they laughed together. I considered speaking up but was ready to get out of there and realize it wasn't the end of the world. Bottom line is that they are completely disrespectful, unappreciative of the business and rude for no reason. I won't return to this place. The guy who did my nails was extremely rude and disgusting. He had me take my own polish off in the waiting room at first while he was finishing up with someone else. I don't mind the way he did my nails, they actually looked closer to what I wanted then other salons but the experience was awful. I asked him if he could put gems on my nails and when I showed him a picture of what I wanted he said no and that it would look ugly. He even questioned the color I picked out which was non of his business. He charged me 4 dollars extra because one of my tips fell off and he had to replace it. He also stuck his tongue out at me in a disgusting way when my mom offered to pay for my service as to say he helped with the favor of her paying for me. It also smelt disgusting in the salon. Not even the typical alcohol acrylic smell this really was more like the smell of old fast food. It's next to dunkin donuts but to me that just means they need to work harder at making it smell better in there. They also charge 17.00 for a fill when most decent places charge 15. Don't go here, I should have known better because I have been here before and didn't like the way they did shellac but I figured I'd try getting a fill here.
