What a wonderful place to get a pedicure! I was able to walk right in and get an appointment. Run by a friendly, multi-generational family. Their pedicure included everything you would expect, including a warm and aromatic foot soak and massage. There are PLENTY of polish colors and, the entire experience was $26! Making advance appointments can sometimes be impossible. On the same day I walked into Oasis, I had already tried three other places over the phone with no luck. Male customer here, came in for mani pedis with my gf. We're from NY on vacation but my hands had claws so we needed to be taken care of. My pedicure was amazing. And though I see people complaining that the owners young daughter was assigned to help with the massage and sugar scrub, I for one feel appreciation for the family atmosphere and the fact that I was being tended to on a busy day. And yes, our treatments took quite a while, but I'd rather that than feel as if though I'm rushed. If you're on a schedule, make time for this pampering. I was more relaxed after my pedicure than after some massages on certain cruises. My feet and hands feel amazing, the owner even made me hot cocoa while waiting for my gf to be done. If we lived in town we would be here monthly!!! And for those who complain about decor, let's see pictures of your house...it's a nail salon not a 5 star hotel. read more

Oasis is my go-to place for my monthly eyebrow wax. It's affordable, especially considering you get a mini massage afterwards! I've also gotten a facial and gel manicure done here, and I can say the services are satisfactory. My gel manicure looked perfect for almost two weeks. I wouldn't go back for a facial because my face was red and bumpy for a month after, but I really enjoyed the mini massage during the facial. Conclusion: it seems like the mini massage comes with most services here (!). I would suggest trying out the services with both Kim and Tien to find out whose massage you like better :) The first time I went, I walked in without an appointment and had to wait for 15 minutes because they had quite a few clients getting their nails done. Since then, I always call to make an appointment a few days in advance to avoid the long wait. I've gone early afternoon, late afternoon, weekday, weekend, and Oasis is always busy, which is totally understandable given the affordable pricing, friendly attitude, quality services, clean interior, and nice atmosphere. read more

I have been going to Oasis for many years, and Thien & John have become like family. I have tried *many* salons in the greater Portland area, and by far in a way, Oasis is far superior! Thien is METICULOUS with my shellac French pedicures (which typically last me 6-weeks, even in the summer), and she, John, Wendy and Anthony takes great care & pride with their work. Thien is also incredibly skillful as an aesthetician, and she's the only person I trust to do my eyebrow & bikini wax. And her massages are out of this world! Do bear in mind that this lovely family business is often very, very busy... so do allow some extra time if you're a walk-in. Scheduling in advance eliminates the wait! read more

I have been visiting this salon for 10+ years now. I feel like I have grown up with them. Let's talk nails first, I have had countless and I mean countless mani/pedi's here over the years. I have done everything from, shellac, acrylic, dip and regular polish and you cannot go wrong! I almost alway see John and if he is busy, I will see Tien. They always go above and beyond to make sure you are relaxed and happy. The palm tree vibe makes me forget I am in Maine. Next-Eyebrows!!! Ummm....Tien is the eye brown queen!!!! She waxed and trims them to perfection, not to mention the mini massage you get after that calms and relaxes, it's enough to trick you into booking a massage. I have had a few massages done over the years and she will give you a deep tissue if you ask or just a calming relaxing massage while you smell relaxing oils and let the stress melt away. I have also had a facial here and I am always satisfied with how nice my skin looks following it. I'm really torn about my feelings for Oasis. Oasis is an experience. You feel like you are walking into someone's living room where there are a bunch of leftover tropical/beach theme decorations. If you have to wait, there are comfy leather couches and a fireplace (which probably doesn't work). I'm floating somewhere between a 3 or 4 star review. Kimle does a great job with eyebrow waxes. She includes a head/neck massage...which is a real treat. This is probably the only place I will go for an eyebrow wax, mostly because you lay down in a dark room and it's almost relaxing, except for the fact that you are getting waxed. Although last time a different woman took care of me and she was trying to upsell me on a pedicure for a bit and that wasn't relaxing. As for manicures and pedicures, I think I may be taking my business elsewhere. The first time I came, I made an appointment. Unfortunately, despite making an appointment, I had to wait a half hour before my pedicure started. For the manicure/pedcure, with an eyebrow wax I was there for a little over two hours. That's just too long for me to be in a salon. They did do a good job, though. I went back to Oasis again, without an appointment for a manicure. It was pretty rushed. I've never seen anyone put on polish that fast. $50 for shellac manicure and a pedicure $28 for just the gel manicure read more

I have been going to magic nails on Forest for the past year or so, and felt they were getting a little lax with their manicures and pedicures, last time I went in not so much as a massage- just slapped on some lotion. I though it was time to try out some place new. I am very glad I did because the quality of the manicure and pedicure at Oasis far surpassed Magic nails. You almost can't tell that it's open from the outside, I had to go in and check. Things I loved about it: -Pedicure tub was hot -Manicure water was hot and soaked for a good 5 minutes before pushing down cuticles -Staff extremely polite and friendly -Very thorough and detailed, like they actually wanted to do a good job -Nice LONG massage -The best part was that one person was working on my toes while someone else was working on my hands! -Comfortable atmosphere -Got to sit in pedicure chair while drying and watch tv Things I didn't love: -Not a huge selection of polish -Pedicure massage chair was old and wouldn't turn on -Constant trying to up sell to Gel/Shellac -I was in the chair for well over an hour, was a little anxious to just get out of there by the end, and that's even with someone working on my feet and hands at the same time.... but it was definitely more of a spa pedicure/manicure then just a quick stop to get your nails painted. I would definitely go back and would recommend making an appointment. Far surpassed Magic nails. read more

I am so loyal to this place. I've been going here for 10 years and don't plan on ever going anywhere else. The spa is very clean, the staff is so nice and fun, and you never feel awkward or rushed. I get my eyebrows waxed here every other week. Not only does Kim (and Tien) do a great wax job (while you are laying relaxed on a massage table), they also conclude your wax with a lovely head, shoulder neck massage. All for just $12! Very disappointed in my experience. My daughter & I came in for pedicures because of the yelp rating. I don't know how this place could get the rating it has. No one greeted us upon walking in. We stood in what appeared to be a living room with way too much tacky decor. Both people doing our pedicures seemed very apprehensive about doing them. Loved it! First time there, walked right in at opening time and they took me right away. Had my eyebrows waxed which included a lovely face, neck and shoulder massage. Had my nails filled and the same woman did both. Very friendly, and took her time to make sure I had a good experience, and you could tell it was important to do a good job and make sure the customer is happy. Will definitely go back!!! Only downfall is a bit cluttered and floors needed a good sweep & mop, but that's nothing compared to the great service! read more

I am seven months pregnant. So, getting a mani-pedi is a luxury and something I probably won't be doing for myself on a regular basis after my baby comes. I had powder dip on my nails already when I walked into the salon and let them know that immediately. However, they had a 13-year-old child put lotion on my feet and legs and sugar scrub, which was lovely. However that's all she did and I had to tell her at one point that it was enough lotion, thank you. Then her father, I am assuming the owner, came over and took the polish off my toenails. At this point I probably should've said something, because the powder dip takes a long time to remove yet no one seemed to notice even though I told them upon entering that that was the case. It was 11:20 when I walked in the door and I didn't leave that salon until 1:30. I left without nails done because it had taken way too long for this process to occur and I was starving. my nails are weak unpolished and my cuticles aren't finished. They charged me $47 for a pedicure, Sugar scrub on my arms and legs, and removal of powder dip. I went back in because I left my water in there, and the woman, the other owner said, "I wish there was something we could do to make it up to you." What you could've done my dear, was to have not charged me or given me a discount. You could have given me a free manicure for next time. You could have given me a GC. Or, you could have Just listened to your customer in the first place. There was plenty you could have and should have done. This was an excellent reminder for me to stick with my regular salon. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! Kim is my to-go-to person to get my eye brows waxed (I always get compliments that they're on fleek!!) Usually get the acrylics for special occasions like weddings and special parties... And I get them refilled every other week! This family owned business treats you well but beware of buying gift certificates. I was a loyal long term customer: referred friends, shared Leon's wedding pictures, several years of purchased services including pedis, massages for myself and others...lots of friendly conversations outside the spa: run-ins at the grocery store, yard sales, school orientation...point is this family KNEW who I was!! When I misplaced/lost a gift certificate that was given to me for my birthday-I went back to let them know...they would NOT honor it. I was able to supply the date purchased, the identifying number and under amount it said "spa pedicure" they refused to look it up in their records and stated it would be impossible to find!! I will never do business with them again which is too bad as it was a "local" business that I enjoyed supporting and being a part of. NOT anymore. read more

Anthony's pedicure was phenomenal with a mini-pressure point foot massage included. Kim later waxed my eyebrows (excellent) & that included a lovely mini-shoulder, face & scalp massage. Except for higher-priced casino spas, most of which are lovely, this was as good as it gets. They offer massage & facials, too.. Since I brought a book to read, they provided a towel-covered pillow to make it more comfortable to read. Very clean. I will return. read more

first of all...i am so happy oasis allows walk ins for facials. It took me all day to try and find a professional facial appointment somewhere in portland that is also affordable. Well, it was worth searching all day and ending up at oasis. Tien took special care of me here. the facial was well worth the $60 for 60 minutes. She made my face feel baby soft and got rid of every blackhead. i have never had a facial like this before. it was amazingly refreshing and relaxing. Tien gave me a neck and shoulder massage which was also a great touch at the end. i wish it never had to end! definitely coming back in a month or so for more of her magic read more

Was looking for a place to remove the gel manicure I had on and stumbled into Oasis. It's a very nice, CLEAN interior with friendly staff. The hand massage I received was fantastic--I was tempted to get a pedicure for the extra minutes of bliss. Seemed like most of the other women getting their nails done were regulars. It was a pricier manicure, but given the lack of places in Portland I'm guessing that $15 is the going rate. I did have to pay an extra $5 for them to remove the previous gel manicure since I wasn't getting a new gel. That may have been the only downside. Overall, I would definitely come back if needed. read more
