The food and service were great! I ordered ahead and then picked up through the Drive thru. This place would be a (good) problem if it were closer to me! Another location in Fall Creek/Park Lakes please

This will be my new spot when in the mood for Greek food!! The customer service was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the gyro was delicious. Would recommend!

Pleasantly surprised with my meal here! I got hummus with pita and a Mediterranean steak bowl, sub falafel. That wasn't a menu option, but the cashier was happy to accommodate me. It was clean inside and they have a decently sized patio if you want to enjoy your meal outside! The falafel had a great flavor and the toppings on the bowl were super fresh! I'll be back.

My food was good, had good flavor and tasted fresh. Went inside to eat, the loud music on the screen was loud and repetitive and a little annoying but it didn't take away from the food. The service was nice, two people came and asked us if we needed anything else. I did ask for some hot sauce or spice and the lady told me they didn't have any and when I was leaving I saw some on the counter so I was a little disappointed in that but overall good.

WOW! Great food, fresh, clean and friendly staff. Try the beef and lamb gyro with Nicks fries. Wonderful

The food is excellent and fresh every time we come come here. The staff is great and your food comes out fresh and hot. I love the pita bread super soft and grilled fresh. The restaurant is always nice and clean with great music. You have to try it when you are in the neighborhood.

The gyro plate was amazing. My coworker has had the gyro wrap 3 days in a row now. Fast and friendly I will be back I also tried the frozen yogurt it's very tangy and perfect with the baclava.

Great food. A refreshing departure from the usual fast food available in the vicinity.

I was invited to try this place out...and it did not disappoint...today was the Grand Opening and everything was free...I never saw a place open up to the public and said everything on the menu was free...so major plus there...being new...the inside was really clean and organized...the staff was really friendly and helpful...my wife and I met the store manager...cook...area manager...and other important people in this franchise...everyone was really nice and thanked us for coming out...now the food was really delicious...my wife had the lamb gyro...and I had the lamb gyro bowl...both were very tasty...the lamb just melted in your mouth...I really think this place will do well...I'm definitely going to do my part to give them sales

Be aware when you purchase a Froyo. the way they pour it in the cup leaves the center empty. The manager said that is the way we swirl it.

It came with a salad, tzatziki, a side of hummus and some pita bread. The hummus was probably one of the best looking/ tasting hummus I've ever had. That also came with Pita Bread. The Tiropita was really good, the phyllo dough was baked very well with the feta cheese complimenting the dough well. The best way I can describe on how the place looks, it looks like a family run place in a small restaurant setting. Keep up the good work, Taste of Greek. Next time I'm in Kingwood, I'll definitely be back.

We started doing this when the pandemic was winding down as a way to get out with friends since we could not previously and also support our local restaurants. Each month we pick a different place or one we might not have been to in a while. We had never tried Petra, I had driven by it many times in the past and was curious as to how it was inside. Since I got to pick this month, I picked Cafe Petra and am glad I did! My wife and I were the first to arrive and when we told them we would be eating with 7 others from our club they quickly pulled some tables together. Our young server was very good, she took drink orders and delivered them to the right customers very quickly. After a bit of socializing we placed our orders and it wasn't very long and food was coming to our table. I had the Chicken Shawarma and Gyro Combo plate and it was a huge serving that also started with a nice salad. Others in our group had gyro sandwiches, salads and even baclava. My wife loved the French fries that are so crisp. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated with Mediterranean decor, there is a big screen at one end with scenes from Greece and other parts of the region. As I said, service was very good and the servings were large enough that several of our group took home to-go boxes. We will go back in the future.

It's well decorated for the holiday season with plenty of lights and decor. It was quiet when we went so was able to get seated right away. We ordered the Messa that consists of chicken, gyro, kibbi and dolma. There are different sizes... for 1, 2 or 3 persons. The chicken was very tasty with the right level of spice. Gyro was good as well. Kibbi (fried dough with ground beef inside) was delicious esp when dipped with Tzatziki. Yum! Dolmas was good too. For the price, there was a decent amount of food. Had to pack some home as we were stuffed. Staff is friendly and offered some suggestions. They have other things in the menu like seafood that we look forward to try next time.

Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the desserts. I recently bought the assorted cookie box along with several assorted cake desserts to take home and try. I spent close to $70 on the desserts, so I was really hoping they would be worth it. Unfortunately, we were extremely underwhelmed. The dessert I was most excited to try was the marzipan cookie because I've had a really good one at another Greek restaurant. This one is called a Kourambiedes (almond cookie), and unfortunately it was very disappointing. The texture was actually great, but the flavor was extremely off. It almost tasted like plastic. I'm not sure if the wrong ingredient was used or if there was too much baking soda or baking powder, but something definitely seemed off with it. I was also really excited to try the pistachio cake, but unfortunately it had very little pistachio flavor at all, which was a letdown. The baklava were dry, and the rest of the cookies in the box were also very dry and didn't stand out, especially considering how much we spent. I really do enjoy Niko Niko and their food, but based on this experience, I probably wouldn't spend that much on their desserts again.

This is the case with Lama Mediterranean Cuisine in The Woodlands. My wife had a doctor's appointment at 2 pm and we live about 35 miles away, I figured go early and get some lunch and then get to the doctor with a full stomach. We put the address into the GPS and pulled right up in front of the restaurant. While it was nice weather outside, we decided to sit indoors and I am glad we did because I noticed some diners outdoors were batting away insects. Our server, Abraham came quickly and took our drink orders while we studied the menu and admired the beautifully decorated interior of the restaurant. Blue is a strong color they have used effectively, there is a large dinging room for a big group just off the main dining room and a bar at the far west end. We ordered some appetizers and they came out quickly, We had a small order (4 pieces) of the Fried Hallumi Cheese and also Kebbeh. Both came with a small sampling of cucumber, tomato and red onion which paired well. The Kebbeh had the most fragrant seasoning, I believe a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and clove. The serving sizes were ample and after trying some we both agreed to save room for the entrees we ordered, my wife had the Gyro Sandwich and I had the Chicken Shawerma, both were wrapped in a super fresh pita that had to be house made. My wife had the regular fries and I had sweet potato which were cooked perfectly, so light and crisp. We couldn't resist ordering some baklava to go, my wife thought walnut sounded good but our server said he felt the cashew was the best so we ordered that. When he brought it out, he said that there were 2 pieces of the cashew but he also added one of walnut at no charge, what a treat. We will be coming back here, the restaurant overall was super fresh and clean, service was great and the food was fantastic.

I finally visited this Greek/Mediterranean/Persian restaurant on a Sunday for lunch to see why it's…read morerated so high. Inside is elegant and well decorated with glass tables and large rugs everywhere. Looking at the menu, it's a mix of various cuisines, but they do separate out the Persian dishes which are somewhat similar to Mediterranean ones just cost a little more and have different spices altogether. If you visit on weekend nights, you'll likely get to see belly dancing here. I settled on the chicken shawarma wrap, even though it costs a few dollars more than the chicken pita. It does come with one side for $21,and I chose French fries. It tasted pretty good, but you do have to get used to the pickles which gives the wrap an overall weird taste. These are not your typical pickles which go well with American fried chicken sandwiches. A Mexican tortilla is used as a wrap here instead of the bread they use for wraps in other Mediterranean restaurants in Houston. If I wanted a chicken burrito, i would have dined at a Mexican restaurant. The fries are previously frozen ones and lightly seasoned and really only decent when hot. Unfortunately this is one of those restaurants which takes care of newly seated guests and large parties but ignores the tables of 1. Not my fault I only have one in my party. They seated me in the corner and another gentleman came about 20 mins after me and I never saw a waitress go to his table after being served his entree either. The chef or kitchen hand is the one who brings out the entree from the kitchen here and my waitress never showed up until they try to take your plate away. However, I was still eating and also waiting for 10 mins on a refill. I can only eat so much before needing to take a sip of a liquid...but if you come with a party of one here..you will likely be waiting awhile. The lady taking my plate wasn't even my waitress either. Meanwhile, for the gentleman sitting outside alone, I observed his drink to be empty a while and they weren't refilling his either. He finally leaves and goes to a cash register to pay. What? A semi-fine dining elegant spot with mandolin playing in the background has a cash register where you have to go up to pay? What is this world coming to? With these prices, they should roll out red carpet from the front door to your table each time you walk in....and surely make the waitress do something for once and take your card and swipe it herself at the cash register which shouldn't be in the middle of the damn room. Sort of defeats the purpose of being elegant. Did I mention the glasses are plastic here too. If they want to be refined, try at least using glasses for drinks.
