Al, the owner of R&M Automotive, took advantage of my fiancée by convincing her she needed a new…read moreradiator when she did not. She actually had a valve issue that was clearly identified on the diagnostic code he ran and was fully covered by Subaru. Despite this, Al told her the car was unsafe to drive without replacing the radiator and pushed the repair. After the radiator was replaced, the car still did not function properly. The issue was ultimately fixed at Subaru when the valve was replaced. When confronted, Al acknowledged that she probably should have gone to Subaru first, yet he offered no compensation or accountability for charging her for an unnecessary radiator and labor. This wasn't an honest mistake; it was poor judgment at best and predatory behavior at worst. I'm posting this so others can avoid the same situation. There are plenty of mechanics in the area (e.g. Everest Automotive) choose one with integrity who won't scare customers into unnecessary repairs.

Had my car in for grill and hood work, and when I got the car back, the new paint om the hood was loaded with dirt flecks. This should tell you plenty about how they run their business, if their paint booth isn't clean...but it gets way worse. When I finally get it scheduled to get the dirt buffed out of the hood, I come back to find a hood that still has dirt in the paint, scratches on the hood and an attitude from the owner who said "I am done with that car". He was very arrogant and rude to me for what seemed like no reason. It became obvious they simply didn't want to deal with my older car. This past week had my truck in due to noise when I hit bumps or potholes.. after it was repaired during the test drive they noticed the right front caliper was sticking, this was repaired by them in January when I had front end work done. It was under their warranty and they fixed it with no issues. They are honest, and perform excellent work. Great value for the cost of auto repairs today.
