Had our 1978 VW Westy there right after we purchased it. It was literally the first oil change and they claimed they found metal in the oil and we needed an engine replacement. In retrospect we should have gotten a second opinion and ran it longer to figure out what was going on. Euronutz was extremely slow and as a result took months to do the work and had the bus sitting out in snow and salt causing rust to a bus that was in really great shape before. To make matters worse the new engine has never run well since. It has less power than the original engine. We also got exhaust fumes in the cabin through the heater. To remedy the issue Euronutz disconnected the heat pipe and plugged it with a red solo cup. It had to go back multiple times after as there were plenty more issues (like a improperly connected decel valve etc) All in all not only did we waste +$6k on the work, we also have a bus now that is worse than before the work. If you have an old VW, I'd personally find a different mechanic to work on it. Hans at H&H in Magaretville is a lot better with old VWs and id highly recommend him over Euronutz! read more

This is one of the best places I've ever taken any car ever. They always do me right and point me in the right direction. They find issues ahead of time. The price is always right and they totally go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy and everything is a step above. We're so lucky to have them here in the Catskills and Hudson Valley. Untrustworthy and dishonest. I brought my Mercedes Benz there for an estimate which was very costly. I was unsure about my decision because I loved the car but the repairs would cost about the same amount as the car's value. The estimate wasn't clear, they wanted me to give them between $5,000 and $10,000 as a "budget" for them to start working on the car.They said it would be fine to leave the car there while deciding as long as I removed it before winter due to snow plowing. Several months later, a few weeks before Christmas, my other car broke down so I was forced to purchase a car, the car dealership was going to take the Mercedes as a trade, they went to Euronutz with a tow truck and Euronutz wouldn't let them take the car without me paying them $500!!! I paid the $500 because I had to for Euronutz to release my car, and asked for a receipt which made no sense. $150 for a towing charge from having my car and the other $350 was made up by Euronutz because I decided not to have them repair my vehicle. The receipt didn't even add up to $500. Thankfully, I was able to get a refund through my debit card (PayPal) by filling a dispute. I would NOT recommend doing business with Euronutz, they are obviously not honest. You are better off dealing with another mechanic. read more

Always excellent service. I put my complete confidence in Jamie when it comes to servicing my car. He knew I was looking for a car and called me when a gem of a vehicle became available for sale. He looked it over and told me it was a solid car at a price appropriate for its condition. Every time I had a car issue I could call him and he would advise me what to do. Sometimes I'd bring it in for service, sometimes he solved my concern over the phone. His decades of service in this industry speaks for itself. If you have an Audi- he's your guy. Excellent service, good communication. I would have given five stars but was initially given a lower estimate which subsequently did not include the cost of all the necessary and essential replacement parts to complete the job. Granted I was given a ballpark figure but it was considerably more expensive than I was led to believe. They did give useful diagnostic help for future repairs which I paid an extra $60 for. I have several Audi cars (no, I'm not wealthy, they are all high mileage cars) and do almost all of my own work. I recently encountered a job that I could not do myself (oxygen sensor replacement) and called Jamie and asked if they could do it. He said they had a lot of experience with those and could do the replacemehnt, so I dropped the car off. Next day, got the call that the car was fixed. Now, I don't know exactly what magic they did, but, they replaced the sensor in record time and for quite a bit less than I expected Thanks for a fine job all around! My first repair cost me close to $3000. They convinced me that everything needed to be done. Eventually, in a short time, the car died. I left it there and offered to let them scrap it and keep the change, so to speak. After they sold my car for like $1600 illegally to some overseas operation, they harassed me that I owed them money? I had an indestructible Mercedes 300TD, I went in for a starter issue, he repaired it by handing me a can of spray starter stuff. This KILLED my car, literally, it committed suicide and threw a rod. I found someone who wanted to buy it for parts... but when they went to pick it up the car was missing. EuroNutz sold it for 1/2 the price I was going to get for it and kept the money... gee thanks.... Years later, they continued to harass me... drunk owner IMing me on social media sites... CLASSY! I was trying to replace the alternator in my daughter's Subaru, which had broken down in her school's parking lot. I and ran into a weird problem while taking the alternator out and got stuck. After puzzling over it for a while, I figured I should ask someone who knows more than I do. I took some pictures and drove to EuroNutz to get some nickle advice. Not only did I get advice, but one of the mechanics followed me back to the car and figured it out. All that for only a handshake! I'd used them about 10 years ago, and had a good experience then, too. These guys are fast, friendly, and fair. If I lived nearer the shop, I'd go there exclusively. read more

Never would recommend them to anyone! Was charged Three times the amount that I was quoted when I picked up my car. Also bought the part myself from autozone, so all they had to do was install! ( labor must of been hard, with a hangover ) I saw the mechanic in Walmart the day before buying 3 cases of beer! 350 cash price,380 card price! Like seriously it's a wheel hub ! I love this place. I discovered them last year when I was up in Woodstock for the summer and my 87 Mercedes was giving me issues. Jamie fixed it at a fair price. He also did a full diagnostic and helped me assess priorities for the car. He's informative, helpful, and doesn't treat women like idiots. He really knows his way around cars and is more than willing to teach you a thing or two about your own car so you're in a position to do small repairs yourself if you wish. Now, whenever we need something major done on the car, Euronutz is the only place we go, even though we live in Manhattan. It's worth the trip. Upon recommendation of a friend I brought my old 96 Audi A6 to Jamie at Euro Nutz for replacement of the park/neutral safety switch on my automatic transmission. For the first timer this job is a real pain and the part new is $450 , used roughly $225 . Jamie sold me a good working used part and did the work for me for slightly more than the used part would have cost me alone. The car was at the shop for less than 24hrs and his price was exactly what he said it would be. Very pleased . Next time I have a repair I do not feel like doing myself my old German tank will be going to Euro Nutz . read more

The people at Euronutz are cheats. I drove my car in one day and asked them to look at it because the engine was making a noise. They told me I cannot drive it, and they'll check it out. They told me a few parts needed to be replaced. After they did this (and wanted to charge me $1000), they said they made a mistake and the engine is shot. Not only this, but they actually admitted that the mechanic had been right all along and they should have listened to him. So I was $1000 out, with a car that needed to be towed off the lot in worse condition than when I started. BEWARE of these crooks! read more

I brought numerous cars here. The owner Jamie is really friendly and personable, all the guys seemed nice but the repairs they made never stayed fixed, in fact, new problems always developed around things they touched. There is a popular rumor they remove good parts from your car and replace with bad, then sell you your parts back when you come in with the new problem. I have had experiences that make me think this could possibly be true. I had a car stored there that I bought from a customer of theirs. He dumped so much money in the car with them and then they said it needed a lot more so he sold it for cheap. I stored it there and the owner told me there was not much wrong with the car. Why didn't he tell the 1st owner that? Then when I go to pick up the car he tells me he "just happened" to be looking at the car to match up some parts for a customer and noticed kids vandalized my car and stole fuel pump parts(not the whole thing, they took the time to take off parts!) and cut out my catalytic converter with a TORCH! The car was on donuts because I used the tires so it was low to the ground, How could he expect me to believe kids dragged a torch in his yard, jacked up my car and cut out the converter?!? It is a known part to be vandalized but always with a cordless sawzall. This never got resolved and he illegally sold my car. Said he scraped it. I have heard many worse stories about euronutz but this was my 1st hand experience. read more
