I'm scheduled for a drop in appointment mid afternoon for brow & lip last minute and upon walking in after getting lost on my way here I tried the most amazing aloe deodorant for organic use. Christine my brow technician said she would give me that arch I was looking for and it worked. My overgrown, hairy brows had had enough of a beating from hard core cycling $ swimming. I got what I wanted and had a cell phone to call to make this appointment last minute. I came here for school related reasons so I could be more professional looking for my students career at PCC. I was a little bit more than uncomfortable at first because it had been over 3-1/2 months since then I used makeup and tried to get by. Nothing beats my nose wax and clean, feminine looking face and now with some eyeliner and mascara and my most favorite color lipstick on the mod side of my lifestyle. Urgency and resolve are very mentionable and no other solution to get a new acceptable look. The reception desk was a very sweet affair with an afternoon assessment on a good cost value for all 3 @ $64. As a former bridal model in Highschool with Suki's Bridal Dresses in Lafayette, CA. I have mixed feelings. I've been here twice. The first time was absolutely incredible. I was going to write a rave review because the service was awesome and the woman who did my brows was amazing! The first time I saw Brianna - give her a raise! She was efficient and quick but she still spent time asking me questions about the shape and size I wanted my brows. She showed me a mirror throughout the process to make sure they were coming along how I wanted. I even got a complimentary makeup brow fill, which looked so bomb! I left feeling amazing and couldn't wait to go back. I was just a walk-in but they were accommodating and seemed liked they valued costumers. The second time I went was another story. I made an appointment this time, so it's not like I was bothering them but they made me feel like I was. I didn't catch the girls name who helped me the second time because I'm not even sure she introduced herself. She didn't ask me any questions about what style I wanted or anything. Get this - not even once did she show me a mirror so I could check out my brows, not even as I was leaving. I was left with little hairs that ended up having to pluck myself when I got home. I Love this place! All of the girls are so sweet and although they do try to reschedule/up charge you they aren't pushy. I've had my full leg, and eye brows done, I was so afraid of my upper legs but it barely hurt and it actually felt good over my psoriasis where I had some dead dry itchy skin. When they did my leg, they got close to my pubic area and I thought it was going to hurt but it didn't. So next time I go, I'm gonna do legs, bikini, and eye brows. Think twice before going to this location. After years of waxing, this was the most painful wax experience of my life. When I asked about what was going on I was blown off and told that this is just their technique. After putting up with it for a while, I finally asked if she could do smaller sections so maybe it would be easier for her to pull/ less painful. I was told no and she walked out. She did not come back to finish it. I was left with part of each leg finished and no one to complete the job. They then tried to charge me $140 for a full leg and bikini wax even though no bikini was even started and neither leg was even half way finished. I wasn't going to write a review, but after over a week has passed, the manager finally called to find out what happened and made excuses the entire time/got defensive. I did not raise my voice, yell, or say anything mean during the original waxing appointment or on the phone call with the manager, but was definitely treated as though I was in the wrong for questioning the technique being used by their staff. Waxing is a service being provided on someone's body, and a waxer should be knowledgeable enough in their techniques, that when someone voices their discomfort with something being done to them, it should be addressed and corrected vs. just getting upset and doubling down. If you enjoy chain/franchise businesses then I guess this is for you. Pros, multiple esthetician's and therefore a variety of availability. I booked this due to my regular esthetician being booked for a last minute appointment after I'd taken a short break from waxing. My experience was not good. This esthetician was either new or just mediocre at her job. She did not ask me if the wax was too hot. The wax did not glide onto my skin instead it was pushed and dragged, this was painful especially on a Brazilian (I've had many "painless" ones performed). She did long applications of wax so when she pulled it never came off in one tug, always 2-3. Also, my appointment was 10 minutes late. I arrived 10 minutes early so I waited 20 minutes. I've been looking for a place to get my waxing done since moving to Beaverton. After doing my research and finding places close to me, this location was the ideal fit. I'm generally wary when I have a new person touch my eyebrows. I felt very much at ease and in control during my visit. My waxer was Jennie. The ladies here are incredible. This place is close to my work and they always have great appointment times later in the night. I am always greeted so nicely by the wonderful people checking people in and out. The facility is extremely clean. I usually try to get the same waxer but it doesn't always work out and I have NEVER had a bad experience in the few years I've been going to European wax. They always call you to remind you about your appointment which is super helpful for me as I come once a month and usually forget when my appointments are. I was introduced to European Wax Center through a Yelp Elite event. It was my first time here and making an appointment for myself and a friend was really easy. We showed up a few minutes early, signed a waiver and then we were called into the back before we knew it. I walked into a room that looked like a medical office, it was clean, bright and very organized. My waxer knew it was my first time, so she patiently explained everything and was very friendly. It was literally painless, I thought waxing would hurt. Leaving the room they showed me products and then up to the front where they were trying to sell packages. So before last week I had nothing to compare this place to but now I do. So I've been going here for Brazilians for almost 2 years about every 4 weeks and have experience about 5 estheticians in that time (some better than others). Overall I would say this is a quick and dirty kind of place. The esthetician's are given 15 mins (in my opinion not enough time for a quality Brazilian) and have beepers that may go off in your session to tell them they have another client waiting. Granted I'm not super timely so I probably experienced the beeper more than others because they give you a 9 min window to be late within. I've been bruised a couple times here and definitely left with some hair that should have been gone. Most of the girls are very nice, they're just kind of under the gun to make money and get you in and out and it feels like that. So if you're just trying to get in and out and maybe save a couple dollars this place is probably right for you, but if you're looking for pretty close to perfect results and a comfortable/spa-like experience I would suggest looking elsewhere and expecting to spend an extra $10. read more

I got a full Brazilian with Christine, my first time ever, and she was the best! Made me feel super comfortable, made great conversation which helped distract me a bit and I'll definitely be back! Been coming to EWC for 8- approaching 9- years now. I've lived all over in different states as well so definitely gone to a great variety of locations. Kayti is the best waxer I've ever had. She's meticulous, taking extra time to make sure she gets everything including going in with tweezers when she needs to. I never leave with a stray hair left behind. As I said, I've been a long time customer so let me just say that that alone puts her leagues above a lot of girls I've seen in the past. I've been going for a few months now and I've worked with 2 or 3 different estheticians and they've all been great! They work quickly and do a thorough job. Everything is super clean and I feel like the prices are fair in comparison to other wax places I've been to. This is probably one of the best waxing experiences I have ever had. I had gone to a Yelp event and had one of their managers do my brows. They also gave me a card to come in to get a free brow wax. The very nice lady at the counter was excited to tell me that in addition to my free brows I could either get my bikini line or my underarms done for free as well since they had a special going! Oh my gosh... That's a lot of money's worth of waxing for free! And wow... I know why they offer that Because they now have a new client for life. My waxer was amazing. She is super friendly, knowledgeable and has been with the company for either 6 or 7 years. I like that she did a "brow consultation" before even starting with the wax. She asked how I wanted my brows to look, asked if I'd had any bad experiences prior, and what I was comfortable with. This really put me at ease and helped me trust her. After about a years hiatus from waxing I am back on the wax train again. Kayla Shea is great and she managed to fix my brow and turn it into two! I can't wait to come back here, they made me feel very welcomed and they were all very professional. They have all sorts of services from the smallest wax to your whole body with a variety of prices. If you buy one wax at a time the cost is about average, but if you buy a few at a time, they have a savings program. Like buy 6 gets 1 free. Or if you are a student, buy 3 get 1 free. They will keep track of what you have left for you on your account and if you book while you're still in the salon they will give you a $1 credit to be used at a later time. Depending on how much your package you purchase is, they can split it between a few visits also, which is helpful! If you're nervous, don't be shy, they are very professional and every one get's their own room and there a at least 2 closed doors you have to go through so there is no need to feel awkward. This place is not customer forward. I had a wax scheduled before I left town and when i got to the salon they told me my tech called in sick and their next available appointment was in 10.5 hours.... no accommodations, no way of saying sorry or making it up to me that i drove all the way there for an appointment scheduled a month ago to be turned away. I've never been late myself but have seen 2 people come in at the 8 Minute late mark and get turned away. If I didn't have packages already purchased I would not return here their customer service all around has been dismal. read more

My experience wasn't HORRIBLE, but I won't be back. While the front desk girl was very friendly and helpful, and the lobby area was nice, I was not impressed with the actual waxing room. In previous wax experiences in other salons, the rooms were much more "spa"-like, a sheeted bed, dimmed lights, and most importantly, a magnified lamp for the waxer to really pay attention to detail. The rooms at EWC felt like a sterile (and yet not in the spotlessly clean aspect) doctors office room. I might be able to accept this if the prices weren't the same..... My waxer was friendly, but missed a LOT, even after I pointed it out to her. My eyebrows were waxed for free as part of a promotion, but you would NEVER know it. My other, main, reason-for-coming service looks half done. It's been 5 days and I definitely need to shave. read more

I decided to take advantage of their deal for first time visits - free bikini, eyebrow or underarm or 50% off on Brazilian waxing. I won't say what service I went with, seems a little personal for this. I had a bit of a challenge getting my appointment scheduled in the first place. I submitted my information online about scheduling an appointment. I did get a phone call to get it set up but I was at work, so I had to let it go to voicemail. I called back and left them a voicemail that I was returning their message. Well, I didn't get a call back from that message for over two weeks. I kind of just let it go at that point, so when I did get a call I was a bit surprised. When I arrived, the two ladies at the front desk were very friendly. Went through and verified information, got everything in order. But then the sales pitch began. One of them actually came out from behind the desk and sat next to me where I was waiting to give their little pamphlet to tell me about all their packages. I'm sure this is fine with some people, but I'm just not a person who responds well to these kinds of sales tactics. My wax specialist came out and took me back to the room. Everything seemed clean and organized in their private rooms where everything takes place. She was excellent about explaining all the steps and giving me a heads up before ripping the wax off. I don't know if I was all that impressed with their 'special proprietary wax formula.' Seemed like they had to redo some areas because the first one didn't quite get it, and I felt there was a lot of tweezing that had to happen. Once everything was complete, I was escorted back to the front. The wax specialist wanted to show me the products she used if I ::hint hint:: wanted to ::hint hint:: purchase ::hint:: anything. And then I was basically taken to the front desk where it was basically asserted that I was going to schedule my next appointment. I thought that was pretty ballsy. read more
